Great Clips

After almost nine months of searching, I have finally found someone who can handle my thick, unruly tresses. I’ve tried several places at various price ranges and my hair cuts have only gotten worse. My hair was in pretty bad shape when I walked in the door of Great Clips but Brandi handled it like a champ. We had to take two inches off to fix the damage, but for the first time since moving to Nashville, my hair doesn’t look like it’s «been cut with blunt scissors» (someone else’s words, not mine or Brandi’s).
Another big advantage of going here is their online check in system. If you go to their website, you can see how long the estimated wait is and check in online. No more waiting an hour or more for a hair cut, yay!
So the bottom line is that the cheapest haircut I’ve had in Nashville has been the best, quickest, and most convenient.

Great Clips is not an exclusive/​expensive hair salon. Therefore, you cannot rate them like that. If I wanted to be treated like a celebrity, I would go to Trim and have them bend me over for a $ 100 haircut.
This location of Great Clips has met my ultimate standard for a place I will return: they patiently and expertly cut my 3 yr old boys hair. The stylist was kind and patient and did a wonderful job. It cost us $ 10. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Getting my boy’s hair cut without it devolving into a circus merits a medal.
I have since returned three times for my own hair cut. I have twice had the same stylist who was kind and made me feel comfortable. She laughed at my stupid «I’m going bald and I’m insecure about it» jokes. They charge me under $ 15 for this treatment and I leave with a great cut that my wife compliments me on. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
The only issue I have: The company has instituted an online check in. I am confused by this and don’t get it; is it an online reservation system? A way to save a spot before I get there? If I show up and they ask me if I checked in online (and I have not) I feel like I’ve messed up. No biggie, just need a better explaination, please.

I have been to this place about 4 or 5 times, and I am not going back. It is just not what I am looking for in a haircut/​styling salon. There is far too much «paint by the numbers» approach and nearly zero attention given to my individual, distinctive needs or desires.
Yes, I have had a few decent haircuts there, but nothing that would make me want to return again.
