I swim at this pool pretty regularly. Love that it’s an outdoor pool but the staff seems to be incredibly disorganized/have bad attitudes. That’s really the only reason I’m knocking a star off — other than that, the pool is a great place to swim!

I only went here to vote(as this was the location for my jurisdiction) but saw within the facility that this community center has so much to offer! An acting stage, banquet halls, meeting rooms and all the other activity-type things you would find at a YMCA but much nicer. Conveniently located, ample parking and totally family friendly, I am excited to learn what all this place has to offer for summer fun.

While Nashvilles ‘J’ might not be as new and shiny as some others across the country, it serves its purpose well as the hub of Jewish activity in the mid-State. One of the nicest parts of the Nashville Jewish community is that so many events are housed in or at the JCC — BBYO events, Jewish Family and Career Services, the Federation, Akiva Day School, the JCC Daycare program, an on and on. That they make efforts to accommodate these and other diverse groups is both admirable and remarkable. As someone who has lived and worked in many cities and participated in multiple Jewish communities, I am a firm believer in the jeweled quality of the Nashville Jewish Community. In other cities, one cannot even get two Conservative Synagogues to host an event together; here the Orthodox Shul and the Reform Temple go on joint trips to Israel. Our rabbinic community is warm to each other regardless of affiliation and community day school educates the children of Reform, Conservative and Chabad Rabbi’s as well as children from all 5 of Nashville’s congregations. We are a community that has a culture of highlighting the commonalities that join us together rather than the differences that keep us apart. Our JCC does a very good job not just in being part of that community, but in helping to continue to shape that unique and warm Nashville Jewish culture.
