Rude crew a few Saturday’s ago I was in Flower mart the gay creeper was staring me down. To the owner; my wife was appalled in your choice of the designer. Very arrogant! Not a person that we would want to work with in purchasing silks. Will not be back after the comments he made to my wife about myself. Get a new crew!

Flower Mart is more on the pricey side. However, they always have an excellent assortment of plants, flowers, and gifts ideas. Note that there are 2 locations. This one is a florist and the other more of a garden center with outdoor plants.

Very rude attitude right when walking through the door today, the lady at the counter just looked up and ignored us, then didn’t respond when we said, «Hi, excuse me», and didn’t even look up when we asked to see something. I will never spend my money with such rude employees/owner. There are plenty of other florists in the area who are happy to provide flowers.

On January 13th I ordered flowers because the wife of a co-worker had a baby boy. Preferring to keep things local, I ordered from Flower Mart because it is a few miles down the road. The ordering process itself was a breeze. I told them my budget(inclusive of delivery fees and tax) and asked for suggestions. What was proposed sounded lovely so I went with it. It was delivered and well received. When I ordered, I gave my email address to the person assisting me and asked for a receipt to be emailed. I am always careful when I give this out as my first and last name are seventeen letters long when combined and my company name is fairly long too. It was read back to me and I went about the other work I had for the day. Full disclosure: I totally forgot about needing this receipt until I was completing an expense report on January 20th. Lo and behold, there was the charge for Flower Mart and no receipt to match it up to. No problem, I’ll call and have it resent and/or faxed. I give all my information again and continue on with the other pile of receipts and will polish off this report once I have it. A couple of hours pass without having received it so I call again. I was told the fax could not go through on their end. Okay, things happen and I totally get it. No error message was received on their end for the email not going through and I had already checked my spam prior to calling. I tell the person on the line that I will swing by in about 15 minutes to get the copy while I am out at lunch. Problem solved, right? Wrong! I enter the very quaint floral shop. I walk up to an employee, tell him that I am here for my receipt. I am told it is not ready and that he will have to get it from the office which is occupied by the owner with the door shut. I understand things like that. So what is a couple of minutes? It gives me a chance to browse. When I want something as simple as a copy of a bill I do not expect there to be much difficulty in obtaining it. With that being said, getting a copy of a receipt from this place has been an exercise in futility. Ten minutes into this, I ask what the holdup is. I am told by the employee that the boss has signaled to wait. Another five pass and I am now late returning from lunch. I ask again. Apology is given and accepted and I am asked to write down my info. At this point I tell them to just mail it to me. No, I am told that because of my wait they will have the delivery person bring the receipt by this afternoon. Please note, that this was offered to me, I did not ask for something like that. I kindly accept and depart. Quitting time is upon me and I ask the front desk about my receipt. Not there. I call for the third time and ask for the manager/owner. I am put on hold. My phone has this handy contraption called a timer and I watch the minutes go by. After 5 minutes, someone comes back on the line and lets me know that the owner is with a customer and it will be a few minutes longer. Although I too am a customer, I understand this. After 5 more minutes on hold, the line begins to ring again and then goes silent. Another moment passes and the owner picks up. I explain I have not received the receipt that was to be delivered. His response? «If I knew you wanted it delivered, I would have done that». I told him that I did not request that, instead it was offered to me and I graciously had accepted. He said he was mailing it but reminded me that it was MLK day and the mail wasn’t running. Again, I get it. I too have a calendar with holidays written on it. I told him that I simply wanted him to allow me to voice my frustrations. Apparently that was not something he wanted to do because each time I said anything he’d interject with«but this, but that». I finally told him I’d appreciate not being interrupted so I tell him what I was not happy about. I voiced my concerns and told him I was not looking for anything but that I just wanted my receipt. When I stopped, he asked if I was«off my soap box» so he could speak. Way to go, you alienated me even further. A frustrated customer who wants to voice concerns should be able to do so without feeling belittled and inconvenient by you. In the end, there are plenty of other places to get flowers. It’s a shame because your shop was really cool and there were things there I liked for my home. But if I am not worth a few minutes on the phone without you being so defensive(and offensive) then you are not worth my hard-earned cash. You, Mr. Owner, deserve one star. Your staff had far better customer service skills and manners(they would warrant four). But in the end, it is your business and you alone are what I am basing this on. You could have soothed my ruffled feathers by simply listening to what I had to say. Instead, all I got was«but, but, but» and made to feel small because I wanted you to know I was unhappy. Not a good business practice, sir.

We live out of state, but used this place to make a special arrangement for my grandparents’ 60th anniversary because they’re local. I can’t gush enough about what a FABULOUS job they did! The arrangement looked fantastic — huge and beautiful(60 roses with all kinds of pretty filler). They delivered it to my grandparents’ church for them to be honored, and they were able to take it home and enjoy it for another two weeks with the flowers still looking good. Communication was excellent, and Darren was wonderful. There was some last minute mind-changing on our part about real flowers vs. silk(went with real in the end, and they were GREAT), but he was very patient and accommodating. Got the credit card bill today, and was pleased all over again to find that the charge was less than I thought it would be. Can’t recommend this place enough!

After checking prices at 2 other local florists, This morning I called Flower Mart to have a dozen roses sent to my girlfriend who works downtown. They were very competitive, friendly and prompt. My girlfriend loved the bouquet, what was several steps above in quality and presentation that what I expected from such a competitively priced product… very satisfied!

I live out of town, and both my parents are in Green Hills… let me just say that $ 50 goes a lot further here, with an over the phone order than anything online. Super friendly and helpful people work there. And they deliver! Very good place to shop!

I don’t know a lot about flowers, arrangements, and the like, so I can’t judge them on their knowledge and service concerning that. But the staff that I interacted with was really helpful, made sure I knew that they were there to help but weren’t pushy, and helped put together a really attractive gift. The selection was more than enough for me, and I’ll probably go back there for more eventually.

Although you feel at peace when even passing this store because of its beauty, unfortunately this is not reflected through the owner. Who has no idea of recognizing a potential customer who would remain committed and recommend many. Instead his ignorance and rude nature has made me decide never to cross the threshold of this business as they have no conception of courtesy or customer service. I would have been incredibly happy to pay the over priced ticket for the plants I desired, but the attitude of the proprietor towards me shy-ed me away forever

This place makes me happy. The Flower Mart is a little oasis in the midst of the Hillsboro Road madness. I went in to get some potting soil, and spent 30 minutes just walking around. It just smells go good in there. Like the summer rain and fresh grass. Ah! Whatever type of flower or seed you want, they have it! Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable, so if you describe what you’re looking for, they can give you great recommendations. They also tell you how to care for the type of flowers you are buying, whether they need sun or shade, and how much water they require. Good to know! Of course they also have a myriad of plants, gardening tools, fabulous flower pots, and fun garden accessories. Like gazing balls and statues! If you like gardening, you’re going to love the Flower Mart. It is the perfect place to pick up a bed of flowers or other items needed for a proper garden.
