While wandering around completely lost throughout the hotel/convention complex, you’ll come across Findley’s Irish Pub in what I call the«back» of the place. It is set up like a traditional irish pub with a sit anywhere you’d like atmosphere. I’ve eaten here a long time ago, and we decided to give it another go when we visited on a Thanksgiving Friday to wander and take in the Christmas decorations. Beers: good, Guinness is always great. These were fresh glasses of it. Food: one of the down sides. The choice for lunch is limited. There were 5 sandwiches available. A pub burger, which my wife said was great. Fish and Chips, which i had and was so so(3 small pieces of fish for $ 23 dollars?) Lamb Burger. Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast and Findley’s Reuben. Price: they got you there and you’ll eat at one of their restaurants… so this was pretty expensive for a luncheon for 2 people. over $ 50 with the two beers. Service: the place was half full. the service was on time, with replacing the drinks and the food showed up at about the right time from ordering. This is not a problem here that I can see. All in all: decent food, a little pricey. good beer. Would like to see a little more on the luncheon menu. Going back: Sometime in the future.

I don’t understand the low reviews on this place? I will admit the fish ‘n chips were little greasy. Our family of four had an overall wonderful experience. Kids had the chicken tenders & fish ‘n chips(nothing special but kids happily ate). Hubby got the classic burger & it was big & cooked perfectly as requested… it was a good solid burger. What blew me away were the soups, cod chowder & French onion! So yummy & huge! The dinner prices are high(burger $ 18& fish’nchips $ 23) but portions were pretty big. The service was promoted & very pleasant.

Was here on a weekday evening. Wanted to eat lunch here but they didn’t open until 5. That was disappointing because they are in a conference center where people stay all day. Live music was a pleasant surprise, food was very good. Had appetizers and a meal. Would definitely eat here again to try something new.

Solid 3.5 stars. The seat yourself policy can be a pain when it is busy but other than that this place is a good option within the Gaylord hotel. I had the chicken and it was flavorful and juicy and came with crisp green beans and roasted potatoes. My hubby’s lamb burger was not impressive in comparison. Our server was wonderful and had all sorts of hotel tips regarding things to do and see(this place is a beast!).

Jet lagged, tired and hungry my co-workers and I ended up here after we checked at the hotel. As it one of the few things still open. The good: Excellent beer list, very good Guinness cake, good if slow service. The bad: The price. Hello captive audience pricing. I paid less than this for 2 trips to the local for better fish and chips and a pint when traveling in England. $ 33+ for greasy fish and chips and a pint is a bit much. The hours. We went back after getting back from downtown the last night we were there(my co-workers wanted the cake, I wanted a Guinness) but they closed at 10pm. We got there at 10:02. Who closes a pub at 10pm? Oh well, live and learn.

Nice surprise given the reviews. Note the Gunness pie is off the menu. I had the Ploughman’s Platter which was a nice rich sampler of sausage and cheese. The high quality was a surprise in a corporate hotel resort If you are over the trendy stuff in the rest of this Gaylord Resort try Findleys.

Great food I had corn beef and cabbage. The chocolate pecan cobbler was amazing! Fun friendly staff!

We went to Findley’s Irish Pub for dinner. Our. Server was Ginger. Ginger was very pleasant but was more concerned having conversations with two of the four tables she had. There were men at the other tables and maybe she thought two women wouldn’t tip as well, but she was wrong. It took 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The chef did accommodate us with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The Rueben sandwich didn’t have any sauerkraut or cole slaw on the sandwich. The other meal was corn beef and cabbage. The meat was tender but average and there was hardly any cabbage with the meal.

Tried four times to go here and every time they were closed. Why have a lighted menu and advertised hours if your not going to be open. Three days in a row…

Food is «good» but overpriced for what you get– but you are surrounded by a fishbowl economy here at the hotel. My wife liked her iceberg wedge salad but my blt sliders were super small, and the fries are just normal. I wouldn’t eat here again, it was just meh and the server was attentive but not engaged with us.

The Chicken and Dumplings was good, but the real star of the show was the brussel sprouts with bacon. It was a side dish(that came with the meal) that was incredible!

Sloooooow service. Almost room temp beer that was not very tasty. The beer was 8 dollars and it was a 16 oz. I thought the old Irish pubs were for working class Joes to come and have libations after a hard days work. I understand paying for it being in Gaylor Opryland but wow. At least have a better selections of beer and make sure they are cold.

Findleys Irish pub is your typical Irish themed place to get a beer. I went to this location for lunch 2 times and both times they were closed. When I checked online they said they were open. The third day I finally got to eat here. In my opinion It’s not bad food but it’s not omg this is great food ether. When we sat down I asked the waiter what he would recommend he said the burger was good. My friend asked how the Guinness pie was. The waiter said«I wouldn’t order the Guinness pie» he said he didn’t like it. In my mind and experience when the waiter said that. I thought of 2 things. Ether the food isn’t fresh and there re heating it from a few days ago or the waiter has seen something back in the kitchen that he knows is messed up. After all the waiter does go back in the kitchen and knows how the food is prepped and handled. I do appreciate the waiter being honest. But it did make me weary of eating here. Anyways the waiter said you can’t go wrong with the burger so we ordered THE BUrGER the food was good. Not great. It hit the spot. The burger came with truffle fries which were the best part of the meal. They have other items like pork belly, fish and chips and a cured meat platter. Overall. This place wasn’t the best it wasn’t the worst. The waiter said stay away from the Guinness pie, so stay away from it!!. Make sure you call findleys before you show up to make sure they are open. PROS: — good spot for beer — honest waiter CONS: — said they were open 2 times but when i arrived they were closed. –waiter said do not get the Guinness pie

Had the Reuben, was quite tasty. Service was good. Tried the beet salad, that was tasty. Also had one of the duck sliders, it was good, but not as good as wild duck. Ploughmans plate was good too

If you’re eating here, you’re probably staying at the convention center and are therefore a captive audience. Remember that fact because they do. I was here for a convention and the center doesn’t have enough capacity in their restaurants to handle convention crowds at dinner. Nor do they have the ability to take reservations. We had a party of 11, so granted it was a big group. We ended up splitting the group in two. When my part of the group finally got a table, our waiter was good and accommodating(more on this in a second). Our waiter then explained that they had just started opening for lunch that day but the management hadn’t really told anyone that they were opening for lunch now. And the kitchen wasn’t ready for it because a few items on the menu were sold out from lunch. We had two kids with us who wanted milk(none of the dinner places here at the Gaylord seem to be very kid friendly as far as kid menus or kid type drinks). Findley’s does not have milk available. So, our waiter was nice enough to go to one of the other restaurants to get milk. How does a bar not have milk to mix into drinks? They have a drink menu, so they make mixed drinks… Back to the kids. There is no kid’s menu. The waiter again offered to go across the hall to another restaurant to get something for the kids. On the whole, the food was okay. But every place here seems to have some problem with service or food. You’re a captive audience, so it seems like they’ve learned they don’t have to try to get your business. Where else are you going to go?

For a pub within a high-end hotel, Findley’s offers the very best beer selection in the entire Gaylord. The food is also nothing to sneeze at. I had a couple of offerings, and I can’t complain. They seemed to lack any form of a hostess, when I visited. This made things a bit confusing for seating, but it didn’t impact the level of service, which was great. Make this your casual choice when staying at the Gaylord.

In the Gaylord Resort. Pretty laid back. The reason for my review is because if you prefer a decent beer they have a good selection of craft beers. You can also order food if you like which I haven’t yet.

Big fan. Really the only down side is, like everything at Gaylord Opryland, it’s ridiculously expensive. Burgers are awesome, really good. If you want a lighter snack, the BLT sliders are quite nice. The highland gaelic ale on draft is great. Several nights there were very good bands playing. Such a pleasant pub it became home away from home during a long stay. Good service, they seemed to really care that you got good food and service. Look forward to my next burger and ale there.

I would not recommend this restaurant. Out of three meals only one was marginally good and that was an iceberg lettuce salad. The people at the table next to is were not happy with their meals either. The service was also extremely poor. We were there for two hours. On a positive note, the Brussel sprouts were fantastic and the beer selection was decent.

I would’ve only given one star but the waiter allowed my daughter to order potato soup even though it wasn’t on the menu. He explained that the kitchen is shared with the place beside of it. I ordered an order of the cheese fries, I requested it to be without the gravy that the menu mentions. They were $ 9 and was brought out at least thirty minutes after my daughter’s soup. They were burnt and were horribly greasy. I think that this place specializes in beer and if you’re wanting a 5 star food experience, skip this place.
