This is a very authentic mexican place. They don’t serve hard shell tacos, only what they call ‘mexican tacos’. Which are little piles of joy on a corn tortilla. Simple and delicious.

I’m a big fan of frequenting the Mexican places off Nolensville Road — that’s where it’s at. However, if you’re in West Nashville, El Jalisiense will take care of that craving for a while. They have a lunch buffet that is above average as far as buffets go. But you really have to go at night. I recommend the carne asada and they do have some of the best chile relleno in town. Who wouldda thought?
