Love this little shop. The quality of stuff they have is amazing. Only wished it were a bit bigger so they could fit even more gear. Very friendly and hands on staff. If you’re interested in a pedal they will just let you hook up right up then and there to give it a whirl. Makes you feel right at home. No pressure. Super knowledgeable staff. Go here. Go here. EMS is a great shop! Brought my Gibson in for a setup and am very satisfied with Derek’s work. He set me up with a new nut to fix some tuning issues and did a great job! The guitar feels so much better to play than it did.
The guys are super kind and helpful and the store has some really cool inventory. Not to mention being in a great central part of town with awesome business hours.
Stop by for some work or just to check out the store and support EMS!

A great store run by great people! They seem to work really hard on getting gear (especially pedals) you don’t see or hear about in most of the other stores in town. Its a small little shop with a limited selection as far as guitars, but everything they have is unique and of absolute quality. I picked up a Fender Bassman 4×10 combo and a Bondi Effects «Sick As» Overdrive and let me say, it was a sweeeeettttt deal.
I haven’t used their guitar techs yet, but I plan to take both my electric and acoustic in for a set up relatively soon. I will deliver my next experience!
Five stars for being a great store run by genuine people!

Brandon, Blair and the fantastic techs at Eastside Music Supply are an absolute breath of fresh air for musicians on that side of town and beyond. Boutique selection and gear treatment without the snob factor, plus ‘musician hours’? Duh. Do yourself a favor and stop in ASAP, if only to geek out on their one of a kind pedals and axes. Also, massive props to Derek, who gave my 335 the greatest setup it’s ever had.

As a musician in East Nashville, this is a great addition to the neighborhood. I don’t have to find a way to make it across the river before rehearsal or deal with the general tomfoolery of guitar center or stores that close before I end up making it through traffic. Nothing against previous options, but EMS is a specialized store as opposed to a carry-​all, especially for guitar players — high quality gear, none of the high-​margin off brand guitars and stuff cluttering the space. Just real gear. I had my acoustic set up by their lead tech, and put a pedal in the case on consignment, and have had great experiences with both. The owners are passionate about musicians and their stuff, and have a great vibe with everyone who comes in to buy, browse or just hang. 5/​5, will give them more of my $$$
