This is a great little all-​local bookstore. From Nashville history to local fiction, this little gem has it. A nice little assortment of local art too. I love the in-​book planters too. Brought one to my office and it’s a constant conversation piece. Very friendly proprietor.

East Side Story is the definition of «shopping local» as Nashville’s first and only all local bookstore. Nestled in the «Idea Hatchery» campus of shops in Five Points located in East Nashville, this tiny story boasts interesting and fair priced merchandise. Owner Chuck Beard is respectively a writer, editor, and author himself and prides himself in stocking the shelves with local literature. You may also find art, music, and gift items (succulent planted in a book!) that will make any fellow Nashvillian smile and visitors crave living in our fair city.
TIP: Mark your calendar for their East Side Storytellin’ events that include musical performances and story tellin’ of course…
