Can’t believe I’m writing a review for a CVS… haha I show up last night, tired. Need beer. This place is right around the corner from my hotel and they actually have shit other than just 30 packs of bud light. Yes. So I grabs me a sixer and I’m outy. Show up today in need of detergent. They don’t have travel size(ugh), but homie who works there cleverly hooks me up. Not to mention I was pleasantly asked 3 different times if I was finding everything ok from two different employees. And both gals who rang me up were sweet as honey. I love me some Nashville manners.

This location is kept pretty clean, decently stocked, and offers plenty of parking. Trying to get out of the lot is another story… I’ve utilized the pharmacy a few times, typically through the drive-thru. When I got married, it took them three tries before they finally spelled my last name correctly. Other than that frustration, my pharmacy encounters have been pleasant… until recently… But I’ll come back to that in a minute. I have been fortunate that I have not been plagued with seasonal allergies. However with this year’s pollen count, I now have a taste of what many folks deal with year after year.(I feel sorry for you guys; I really do.) I hadn’t been feeling right, and tried to get an appointment with my general practitioner, but couldn’t for several days. I do suffer from a rare medical condition, and really hesitate seeing someone outside my group of tried-and-true physicians. But these days, I must be well to be near my godson. So I decided to go to this Minute Clinic to get checked out — stat! Luckily, I only had to wait for 10 minutes, and the NP was super efficient and kind. He intently listened to my medical history and my concerns about my health regarding my godson. He then took the time to thoroughly check me out, before giving me the green light. The next evening, I realized I was out of Sudafed, and stopped at this location to purchase another box. So, back to the pharmacy… I initially forgot one has to ask the pharmacy for any medication that has pseudoephedrine hydrochloride in it, since it is now only available behind-the-counter.(That’s how long it has been since I’ve bought this stuff.) Feeling like crap(and showing it), I walked up to a pharmacy tech and asked to purchase a box. To make a very long story short, both she and another pharmacy tech/check-out clerk acted as though I was a drug addict looking to buy what I needed to make my gold. For example, «You know you can only buy so many boxes of this per year, right?», and«I must scan your ID, because you can’t purchase too many boxes of this per year.» Followed by, «How many boxes do you want?» Uh, hmm, let this apparent meth-crazed individual think about about that… I smartly replied, «Uh…ONE. Why in the WORLD would you sell more than one box at a time if the government is so concerned about the sale of it in the first place?!» I guess the tech decided he wasn’t going to reply to that question. I know I didn’t feel good and it was evident — but geez people«Ummm, Hello?! I’m congested and need a DECONGESTANT! Imagine that.» GRRR. This experience alone will not prevent me from going back to this location, solely based on all the other positives. But another experience like that at the pharmacy will certainly have me filing a formal complaint. TIPS: 1. When exiting the parking lot onto Trousdale, go through the neighboring business park lot to the stop sign, and attempt your turn from there. 2. Get a CVS card — it’s actually worth it.

CVS brand meds are as good as national brands. Often times their products are cheaper and steep discounts available with your CVS card. This store is clean, stocked with great candy, and nice staffers.
