Chipotle Mexican Grill

First time here and glad I finally tried it! It was really good and fresh. They definitely give you a ton of food as well. Place was clean and people were very fast and friendly. I’ll have to try this place more often!

i visited this location after be warned by a coworker about the recent headlines about Chipotle. I wish i would have listened. The food was worse than worse. i ordered half steak half chicken bowl not a lot of either in the bowl onion was black. I wasnt even able to work the remainder of my shift because i couldn’t stay out of the restroom!!! As gross as it may sound or is it’s the truth. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANY LOCATION AGAIN. It would be great to get my money back but if all i had to spend was 10.00 to be reminded to never eat here again. Well then it was money well spent. I also am a cook in the restaurant business and could not imagine serving anything to my guest such as this.#1 rule dont serve anything you wouldn’t eat yourself and i guaran-​damn-​tee the ones who work there dont eat off the serving line you feed the customers off of…#undercoverboss #YOURCOMPANYISINTROUBLE

I’d normally rate Chipotle a 5, but this location/​visit missed the mark. I typically avoid chains but do enjoy Chipotle steak salads– they are healthy and convenience is usually the deciding factor when paired with trust. It’s the first time I’ve been back since food born illness scare.
I arrived to no line, but also no greeting. Even though I could see 5 employees; it took them a while to acknowledge me or come over. Once one did, she prepped the meat portion and sent it down the line as they normally do for toppings, but none of her coworkers came to help– she was then forced to come do that part herself. She pushed the salad to the cashier who also ignored me fora few moments; «may I please get a soda with my salad?» I asked. She stared at the register screen, paused, looked at my salad, «is that it?» I responded politely yes and handed her my card. She ran it and then I had to ask again if she got the soda, she wasn’t paying attention or forgot when I asked the first time. The steak on the salad didn’t seem fresh; it was cold and not as flavorful as it usually is. Hoping it’s a fluke at this location and didn’t change their recipe.
I’ll give another location a try. But this one missed the mark.

Ok, we all know by now that chipotle has created the perfect burrito formula and there’s no going back to the way you used to eat fast Mexican, but I want to comment on the service at this location.
I have always had a pleasant experience with the employees here, but today was great. I walked in to pick up my order and the cashier was moving quickly to check every one out. She acknowledged me and realized my order was not yet ready. A few moments later, a cheery man pops out from the back and says my order is on the house because he was just a few minutes later than expected. He apologized and took responsibility which I thought was so great.
The cashier was handling several issues besides mine and she handled them all very well while keeping the line moving. Professional staff who are great at their job. I have had some bad experiences with the chipotles in the area, but I will most likely go out of my way to visit this location over any other.

second time this week they messed up my to go order. get it together. people have choices!

Consistently delicious food! You can count on chipotle for fast, delicious, and healthy fare. The menu has barely changed in years, but the food is still scrumptious!
Be prepared to wait in line if you come at peak times. But, line moves quickly.

Great Chipotle location – I frequent this locale pretty often.
Lines are typically long, but service flows quickly.
Food servers are prompt, attentive and pleasant.
Food is always fresh and flavorful.
Location is clean and updated.
I love knowing that I can breeze into this joint, grab my food and be out in less than three minutes typically, no matter how long the line is.

They usually give us nice big scoops of chicken on the weekends. Boom! Love that chicken! (This advice applies to lunch time on the weekends. I don’t know about week days)

Not all Chiptoles are created equally. This West End location is the most consistently good around town. Their portion sizes are good, and most all of the time the food is really tasty.
Granted I’ve been here probably a hundred times over the years so there are some off days where the food is lukewarm or watery. My Chiptole nemesis also works here– she never gives enough rice. Other than that, I’m a happy camper at this place!

Chiptole is delicious, quick, and healthy. Not a game changer by any means, but I eat here 3 – 4 times a week for lunch. I love the carnitas burrito bowls. Location is convenient and staff is usually friendly.

In my experience Chipotles are pretty universal but this particular location is a 2-​star. I recently moved to the area and on my first trip here, they were out of bowls, lettuce, sour cream, carnitas, (maybe more, that’s what I can remember). There seemed to be some arguing amongst the staff, maybe due to the shortages. Also, the trash was overflowing and needed to be taken out. I didn’t hold any of this against them because stuff happens.
On my second trip, similar story. They were out of carnitas again (won’t hold it against them because I think it’s a national thing) but also completely out of hot salsa, black beans, a couple of others, as I went through the line. It was a matter of asking the kitchen for more to replace an empty bin. At all the other Chipotles I’ve been to they’re pretty seamless. Line staff notices they’re nearly out of black beans, they shout to the back for some more, and pour the new batch into the existing bin. This location wasn’t doing that at all. They were scrapping the bottom of the hot salsa bin, giving me half a serving and calling it good.
Also, this location is pretty dirty. A lot of unbussed tables, low supply of Tabasco sauces out. Trash on the floor (napkins, straw sleeves, etc.). Just an overall grimy feel.

I frequently eat at this Chipotle and it is wonderful, the food is always fresh and delicious, the service is excellent.
The only drawback is sometimes parking is difficult if you are there at the busiest part of the lunch hour.
I always get the chicken and have never been disappointed, you can even see them freshly grilling it!

I come here often, but it’s just because it’s the most convenient location for me. They are often out of an ingredient. They’ll usually post signs when they are out. One night, there was so sign posted and when I asked for corn salsa, the girl got snippy with me about it and yelled at her coworker that he should be telling people that so she didn’t have to.
No one in this location knows how to roll a burrito… They roll the sides in way too far. It ends up being very short and fat with a lot of leakage.
Despite everything, the food always tastes great, so it keeps me coming back.

First I had to wait 15 minutes for chicken (I timed it) because they didn’t have any cooked and the employee cooking the meat was visibly annoyed that he had to cook more. Then my friend (who suffers from crippling anxiety attacks) was rushed through the ingredient process. The woman (I didn’t ask her name) passed down the bowl without even offering him fajitas, which he wanted. The next woman (I didn’t ask her name) condescendingly asked what else he wanted and refused to listen to him when he specified the certain amount of cheese, and salsa he wanted. Finally she tried to verbally attack him, refusing to allow him to get extra lettuce, which he so desired. After he gained the confidence to fight back, commanding that he was the customer and should be rightfully treated like one, she turned to her supervisor (I didn’t ask her name), who agreed to give him extra lettuce. I am happy that my experience wasn’t so terrible but the things that happened to my friend were just inexcusable. Finally I wanted to thank the other two employees (I didn’t ask their names), who were very kind. Probably will go to the chipotle on 21^st next time, they always have better service.

Okay so, I have been giving this location another chance lately and it is now my go-​to. The other location near Vanderbillt kind of sucks now — chicken is extra fatty and the service is almost always pretty… well, just plain rude. This location is great though, now. I guess the cheese nazi left. Hooray!

Convenient location, generally friendly staff, lots of seating. But they frequently undercut scoop size here; more than a few of my burritos have felt underwhelming relative to price for the amount of meat included. Typically more common when ordering carnitas as they use tongs. It’s also strange as guacamole is always piled on no matter what.
Just something to keep in mind.

Good chipotle. This location is pretty convenient. Never have trouble getting a parking spot and it’s always fast. Workers are usually pleasant. Outdoor seating is nice. I only wish they were open later because this would be great for a late night eat.

So I just landed a new job in a shiny building on West End.
Yay for me and all that racket.
I usually go home at lunch to save money and to take my pup on an afternoon walk around the block. But, today, I realized I have nothing to eat at home! So, I decided to head on over to the trusty GoogleMaps and see what’s around me. Chipotle in walking distance? I’ve never eaten there before… and I love Mexican (well, ok, fast food Tex-​Mex in this case).
I got the lettuce bowl (salad bowl?) and it was, er, fine. It was really soggy on the bottom, and they piled SO MUCH guac on there, it ended up being a really heavy meal. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love guac. Like, I loooooove it. It’s with whom I cheat on salsa. But, too much of anything is bad (see: hangover).
So, all in all, it was a great quick meal. But it’s definitely something I could make at home really easily. Maybe I’ll try a burrito or something next time. And I’ll most likely be tacking on one of their margaritas, because… liquor in a plastic cup makes me feel classy. I’ll update my review after the next meal.

Don’t hate me because I like Chipotle, I know it’s not the «real thing» but it is some-​thing. Something that is predictably good when passing through an area.
This location has a friendly and efficient staff, was clean and tidy during my visit, and was playing some good music.
