Pizza is good. They are terrible with predicting the time that the pizza will be ready, its either 20 mins early or 20 mins after

Small business that serves quality delicious pizza. Crust is not too thin/thick with the right amount of crispiness. Toppings taste fresh and are plentiful. The cheese slightly browned and creates strings as you pick up your slice. The staff is always friendly, greeting you with a smile, very helpful when you can’t decide what to get. This place is good stuff, guys! It’s a great little secret in Sylvan Heights! As a tip, there isn’t a lot of space to sit inside so I usually order pick-up(I also live nearby, so that’s easy for me). If you call ahead, they’ll usually have it ready in 20−30mins.

Giving it a three for now since I have been waiting for 1 hour, this pizza better be good or down, down, down. Ok back, up to 5 stars, the pizza was the best pizza I have found in Nashville. Just hope the service gets better.

We ordered salads and pepperoni/mushroom pizza. The pizza was great and the salads were large. We did delivery.

I honestly love the pizza at this place, but they need to get it together. I decided not to leave a bad review after my last bad experience because their pizza is so good, but we just had another bad experience. Last time, we placed an order and after waiting well over an hour, we called and they said that they didn’t know what happened and the order must have gotten lost; no apologies and we still had to pay full price for our pizza that came well more than 2 hours after placing an order. Tonight, we placed an order, called after an hour and they told us that the pizza had just left with the delivery guy and would be here within 15 minutes. More than 30 minutes later(and an hour and 45 minutes after ordering) our pizza shows up, cold. I get that it’s a busy night, but they should staff themselves accordingly. I do not feel like I should have to pay full price for an hour and a half + wait time and cold pizza. Ridiculous. And never once hear any sort of apology. Won’t be ordering from here again.

It’s good pizza, but not great. The ingredients are definitely higher quality than chain pizzerias. Balance of sauce to cheese is good. Personally I’d rather have a thinner crust, but I did get the regular, and they do offer thin. I’d order from here again, but would get the thin crust. Guys I dealt with(on the phone and the delivery guy) were nice, polite, genuine, not fake service-y. It did take right about an hour to get it, but it is a small local place, and I’d still rather have this than chain crap. Overall, I would recommend it.

Best pizza of my life. And I’m a little of a pizza fanatic. Friend and I split a large Kitchen Sink Supreme and it was amazinggggg. Definitely a good size for two people, even three. I even loved the crust and I’m not usually crazy about that. the cheese bread looks AMAZING. Definitely can’t eat more right now, but I’ll be coming back for it soon. Seriously excited about the next time I’m here in Nashville and can eat here again!

You have to love the way Unilocal allows you to find the best local food like Castrillo’s! Truly fantastic BBQ pizza by the slice. Two pieces and my demanding appetite has been truly satisfied. A long day on the road has never been so wonderfully interrupted.

A very small building you may miss, but don’t pass it by! The service was great and the pizza even better. The large meatlover calzone was enough for two! Totally a place to get a quick and cheap bit to eat if you’re in Nashville. The trusty Unilocal users did not lie about this place. Only issue which was not really a problem was they only have bottled drinks. Will totally be back next time I’m in town!

So here’s the deal. We are in town for a couple days on vacation and we wanted some pizza. I decided to fire up the trusty Unilocal app and find something good. The other reviews on here describe this place pretty well. From the outside and inside this place could basically be considered a dive. I’m not to judge mental on looks as long as the food is good. We ordered a large pizza and a cheese bread. Under $ 20! I waited maybe 15 min for my order. Btw everyone I came into contact with was very friendly. We got the food and took it back to our condo. It was still very hot and smelled delicious! We got to our condo and we were extremely happy. The cheese bread had so much oozy gooey cheese! And the pizza was absolutely fantastic. Hot, cheesy and a nice spicy pepperoni. If we are ever in Nashville again we will definitely go here.

Aw man, what a tasty pie! We had the equivalent of a Supreme pizza, and it was deeelicious. The dough is well cooked, and the pizza holds up to all of its toppings. All of which are delicious, and of good quality, by the way. The guys working here were very nice and accommodating when we stopped by. There are a couple tables inside to dig into your pizza, but I would recommend calling in your pizza ahead of time and picking it up. This is definitely more of a to-go spot.

Well tried to make an order online and they had a super nifty app. Downloaded and order I even got my confirmation that my pizza was coming… but then my pizza never arrived. Tried to call after 1 hr and got voicemail. Well there is that if a restaurant wants to leverage technology be mindful of the gaps and bad experience it can create. I’m just sad we didn’t get to try your pizza. :(

The food is spectacular. Pizza, calzones, it’s all been great. Customer service can be terrible, other times just OK, but above all else the amount of time they take to do everything is the worst. If they say 20 minutes, that means 45 minutes. We’ve learned our lesson after three times of this happening. Placed an online order this time, no estimation of time. 25 minutes later I show up to pick it up, they start making it then. It’s just frustrating to not have any idea how long something will take.

Amazing pizza. You could probably categorize the dining area(if you’re eating there) a dive, but I don’t mind that. I believe there’s only 2 – 3 tables in there. But pizza in the area doesn’t get much better than Castrillo’s.

I am new to Nashville, and have been looking for good pizza. I found Castrillo’s for lunch by myself and ordered a sausage and onion calzone(the thought of a personal pizza has never appealed to me). Based on other reviews of the pizza, my expectations were high, and this thing did not disappoint. First of all, for 13 dollars, the calzone was huge, easily enough for two hungry people. Second the crust was perfectly browned, but chewy with perfect amounts of sauce, cheese and and sausage. I presume based on the similarity of the two, that their pizza is excellent as well. I plan to return soon for pizza.

Wow… Just wow. I decided to try the pizza here because of the good reviews and i was definitely not disappointed. I had a meat lovers pizza and some feta cheese bread. The cheese bread was freakin great. Gotta be some of, if not the best, cheese bread I’ve ever had. The pizza was right up there too. I would have to put it in the caliber of Soulshine. The price is cheaper too. $ 25 for a large pizza and the breadsticks is not bad at all. I will most definitely be returning here for pizza.

I feel bad giving the first 4 star review. I wanted it to be a great experience. I will say though, if I lived in Nashville, I would order from them again and again but only for takeout. I do not recommend eating there if they’re busy. They were super busy on a Friday night when we went. They did tell us it’d be a long wait but that was fine. I do love that it is a small, independent business and the employees were all working hard and super friendly. We ordered feta cheese bread and each ordered a personal pizza. The pizza was awesome. Sadly my experience with the cheese bread was not as great as everyone else’s. They write order numbers on the boxes. An order # from 12 orders before ours was scribbled out and«extra» written on the box. I actually noticed this after I excitedly opened them to find they looked not fresh at all. I worked in a pizza joint for a long time, I know what fresh vs old(cold and reheated) cheese bread looks like. Bummer. Not to mention they put the box of cheese bread under the warmer about 15 minutes before it was brought to us with our pizzas. I was starving and would have loved to have our appetizer when it was ready… even if it was reheated. The last thing is just a preference thing. I drink water with almost all meals I eat out. It’s just better for you and Id rather taste the food. It is a small family-owned place so I probably sound like a snob when I say I was surprised to see he filled our cups of water from what looked like a washing sink in the back. And it tasted awful. And dust was floating in it. I ended up just buying a 2 liter from their fridge. Again, great pizza. I would go back.

Great pizza. Quality ingredient. Fetta cheese sticks were very well made. Not a greasy pizza. Made with love

This has become our *go to* pizza place. The people are always incredibly nice, and the pizza is awesome. It’s best to do carry out or delivery, since the inside is small with only a couple token booths. They also do more than just pizza, but I’ve never been tempted to stray from the known delicious.
