Here I am having the worst couple of weeks life can offer. Thinking ok I’m gonna go out to have dinner because I can actually afford eating in some sort of restaurant for once. Lucky me life just takes a wonderful turn in the direction of two members of their staff looking at me then each other(after pointing me out) talking and laughing hysterically. I know what you think. maybe I’m funny looking or fat, maybe my clothes were ridiculous or just anything made me stand out and deserve this. What was it? Nothing! !! Nothing gave them the right to do this to me. Alas obviously life is cruel but can’t I expect that even for a short time life could just give me a break. That at least two employees at a fast food restaurant could understand the struggle of a hard life enough they didn’t wanna add to it.

Talk about feeling like a family dine in restaurant! Love this place! I remember coming here as a child with my father. Ever since my father passed away I come here and sit in the same spot my father and I use to sit in. It’s nice to remember good old times. The staff is very friendly and great customer service!

I never thought I would be reviewing a Captain D’s, but the time has come where I am forced to comment on my experiences here. This Captain D’s is amazing. Do I eat it every day? No. It doesn’t usually sit right. But when you are craving the D, you get it. I’m always skeptical about Captain D’s because it is what it is: fast food seafood. It even sounds scary. The location of this one also had me worried because it isn’t in the best area of town(I live out here, too…). I have been to this location twice now and both experiences have been gold. They are always on top of their game. They’re quick. They’re efficient. They’re NICE. They don’t act like they would rather be anywhere else than work. The employees at this location seem to be genuinely content, so kudos to management for that. It really does go a long way. The first time I ate here, they took longer than usual in the drive-thru because of what I ordered(salmon…trust me, it’s good). They gave us a free slice of pecan pie to make up for the wait. We weren’t upset ATALL about waiting, which made it even better that they took the initiative to not only give us free pie, but also genuinely apologize AND make sure that we had everything we needed. Some restaurants don’t even go that far. The most recent trip was a dine-in trip. I was feeling fancy. They served our food on «real» plastic plates. Not disposable. And real silverware. Seriously?! Awesome! We got a great meal for under $ 20 and we didn’t feel like we were eating at a fast food place. I don’t always eat Captain D’s…but when I do, I go to this one. Give it a chance.
