I do not, repeat do not, like to spend ridiculous amounts of cash on clothing and accessories. I shop the sales, don’t fuss over the top brands, and never, ever hit designer labels. So, I only walked into the Calvin Klein because of the signage claiming 60% off and the like. Probably because the summer season is over, and they’re trying to get room for all the fall fashions. That’s fine. I saw stuff that I thought were decent deals: nothing of what I was looking for. But I did see a leather money clip that was advertised for less than five dollars. I must be the only person in history to purchase something at CK with a five dollar bill and get change back, and I sure as heck didn’t look at the ladies goods, but the quality of the clothing was satisfactory and the sale prices were at least considerable. I’d never pay the full prices for those clothes, but they were sharp clothes, no doubt. The girl behind the counter was friendly, too. I’ve lived my life assuming the people selling clothes at those stores would seriously turn their snoot up at the fat dumpy guy, but she gave me the standard fake customer service smile so that I felt comfortable in her presence. When I turned my back, maybe she was glad it was over, but she was pretty and friendly, so I’ll give that to her. I like my leather money clip and like the store well enough, that I’ll go through again when they’re advertising deep discounts.
