I was on a time crunch so I decided to head to Brow 23 for a touch up. As I’m walking in a bell rings & I sit down … I notice both chairs are full. There’s no «hello«or anything close to a warm welcome. Not even a smile. One girl finishes up & calls me to the chair. I got to sit in the chair & then she tells me to get up because hmmm I assume something wasn’t done right. When I left Brow 23 I looked at my brows & noticed she took more hair off the ends … That’s the hardest to grow back waaaahhhhh. The price is great here & its cutesy but… I think I’ll stick with my favorite place Karissma.

Me & my Sasquatch brows have been coming here for years & I love it. $ 11 for eyebrow threading every few weeks? Duh. For that price, I’m completely okay with braving the chaos that is Green Hills Mall to feel fabulous. I can get in, get my eyebrows done, pay and leave this stupid mall ASAP without someone trying to hear my life story/tell me theirs. If you need your brow person to do that for you with each and every visit, this place isn’t for you. They always say hello, ask me what I need, & get to work making my brows on POINT. That’s good enough for me. Some Threading 101: threading is the kind of thing that NEEDS to be done consistently. The more you go, the less it hurts and the easier it gets to maintain or change the shape of your brows. Say exactly what you want, start with the«extras» and then go from there. Basically, everyone just needs to RELAX.

I’ve been going 5 weeks before needing to be threaded! The women there are amazing! Love this place

I’m very experienced with threading; my mother in law owns a threading and hair salon in another city. This place is the best in Nashville, and very affordable, way cheaper than other places. It’s a convenient location, and I have never had to wait long except for Saturday morning, which can be very busy, but that is a testament to their popularity and service. The women are very humble and hard-working, and try very hard to get you the exact look you want. They take their time, and do a thorough job. I am really happy a place like this opened in West Nashville! I suggest the full face threading, it’s a little painful, but you get a polished look like you won’t believe, and it’s quite a bargain compared to the other places.

Let’s start with the pros –great location –great price –neatly decorated and clean And that’s it. Unfortunately they just don’t offer a good service. I visited Brow Art 23 on Monday and I’m shocked at how terrible my eyebrows look, I travel extensively for work and I’ve had my eyebrows threaded literally all over the country in dozens of different salons and this is BYFAR the worst my eyebrows have ever looked. I was the only person in the store and she was so rushed and done in under ONEMINUTE. She put absolutely no effort into shaping my brows. It’s like she was annoyed I was there and I was ruining her day. Please please please save your money and go somewhere else. The whole experience was bad. I’m blown away by how terrible this place was. STAYAWAY!

I’ve been here about 5 times and each time has been fine. But my advice is be very EXPLICIT in what you want or need here. They will argue with you that they are shaping your brows, but you can’t argue around the fact that they cut, not threaded your eyebrows to the point where there is no hair in one spot where there used to be.

I have mixed emotions reviewing brow art– The Pros: –I think it’s in a good location, especially if you’re a frequent shopper at the Green Hills mall. –For $ 11 for eyebrow threading, it’s one of the better deals I’ve seen in town. That’s where the pros end. The Cons: –The ladies aren’t particularly friendly. –One of the two ladies isn’t even all that good– threading can be somewhat painful, but I’ve noticed the more experienced you are, the less it hurts– this one lady probably gave me the most painful eyebrow threading I’ve had, and I get them done regularly. –One Saturday afternoon, the employees apparently brought their young children to work who were screaming and running around the small little space! No one even TRIED to stop them. Don’t get me wrong– I love children, but I didn’t think it was an appropriate place to bring your kids, especially allowing them to be so misbehaved. It’s one thing if it was one of the clients who dropped in with their kids– but that wasn’t the case. I’d like to give this place 2.5 stars because again I like the location and price. I’m not ruling them out, but if I see kids running around in there again, then I might go elsewhere… for good.

I really wanted to like this place because there aren’t many threading places around, but the gal barely went over my brows so I had to ask her to clean them up more. Even afterwards when I went to another store with good lighting I saw she had missed several hairs. If they don’t take their time and do each brow thoroughly, most likely they aren’t doing a good job. She also didn’t trim my brows or put any salve on them afterwards. Even for $ 11., I have been to better ones in California for the same price. Also, don’t expect to be threaded and have it not hurt. For the most part, it’s tolerable, but if you do get someone who isn’t that great, it could be pretty painful. Let’s face it, they’re pulling out hairs by the root people so of course it’s going to hurt a little. The gals that are really trained well know how to do it so that the pain is minimal.

I have eyebrows that can rival the hair on Big Foot and typically, I am too lazy to take care of them professionally. I used to just get them waxed once every few months so that I could regain some insight into what eyebrows are supposed to look like. On Saturday, I felt that there was something in my eye. Oh, no worries, its just one of my INSANELY long eyebrows. I broke down and went to Brow Art 23 to check out this new threading thing. Holy Uni-brow — This place is amazing. #1 — $ 11 for a complete brow makeover? You cannot beat that price. #2 — The space is clean, cute and offers a good selection of magazines in the off chance that you would have to wait long.(I didn’t) #3 — The brow artists(I made that up…) did her thing! She was amazing and I have never seen my eyebrows look this good in my life. #4 — It hurts. A lot. I have tattoos and piercings and this was getting close to that level. That’s not her fault though, pain is gain! Beauty is pain! [insert new pain is directly correlated to getting good results cliché]

I went in with a groupon and it was basically everything I expected! It was lovely that the nail spa and these guys ran groupon at the same time because it made my life so much easier. One thing to mention is that the process was not half as painful as I usually feel threading is. Overall, an awesome place offering competitive prices. I wi go back again and again for the full price of 11!:)

Brow Art 23 recently opened in the last week or two at the Mall at Green HIlls. It’s on the lower level very close to Dillards. I was really happy to finally see a threading place that a) is okay with male clients b) has convenient mall hours and c) you don’t need to make an appointment. I had never heard of Brow Art 23 before, but after I looked them up it looks like they are a national threading salon chain. For me it is a very welcome addition as eyebrow threading starts at a reasonable $ 11 versus $ 20 — $ 30 at other places in Green Hills/West End areas. The space is inviting and brand spanking new. It is actually a store front and not a kiosk. There is plenty of seating and magazines to check out. They have a tv running with an ad over and over which is a little annoying. The salon also has 3 or 4 stations, but so far it looks like usually only one person is working at least during the weekdays that I’ve strolled by. Today — Monday night I waited about 10 mins or so which wasn’t bad and I was finished with my services in about 10 minutes too. If my receipt is correct then my rep was Margret and she was very nice and quick. I was happy with my results and the price. Again, I can’t stress how happy I am to have a more reasonably priced option with great hours and no appointments needed. The location is great too — you can just swing by as you run other shopping errands! Check out this new threading salon next time your eyebrows are making you crazy!
