I often go to the Farmer’s Market during the week for lunch. It’s just a few minutes from my office so I get a great variety and value with an efficient use of my time. I thought I’d try AM@FM this past week. Well, not. When I arrived, it was close to 11:30am, and there were two people behind the counter. There were 5 people in front of me standing around waiting to order. Remember when I said there were two people? Well, one was near the register, and the second person who was supposed to be making food was far more enraptured in his cellphone. It looked like he was texting while simply holding the sandwich buns. In the time I was standing there, about 2 minutes, 4 of the 5 people walked away. I soon followed. Seriously? You’re at work as the lunch rush is starting. If you can’t be bothered to put away your phone and prep our food, i can’t be bothered to give you my money.

I have been wanting to try AM@FM for a while now but just haven’t made it over to the Farmer’s Market to give it a go. Luckily my opportunity came over the weekend! I ordered an Asian inspired wrap with chicken and a side of tobasco potato salad. FYI… each sandwich and wrap is a ½ so make sure to plan accordingly! It turns out mine was plenty of food and under 10 bucks! They also offer wine and sangria, and I was sad that they ran out of sangria before I had the opportunity to try it. There is plenty of seating and a good selection of salads, wraps, and sandwiches. Really enjoyed my first visit and can’t wait to stop back by!

Even though it has been over a year since I ate here, I still dreamily reminisce about their delicious food! They had the most amazing curry quinoa salad that my tongue longs for. The modern yet comfortable setting amongst all the«foodie goodness» compliments a nice afternoon of buying fresh fruits and local honey and jam. Many go to N-Ville for the party and music, but I would gladly go for the goodies here alone! Super duper props to the friendly low pressure wait staff and the yummy freebies we go to try. AM@FM, I miss you! Only draw back is that I do wish they had a little more variety or at least some«to order» stuff as I am super picky about things with meat and sauces… really my issue, not theirs :) I also liked that you paid for your order via ipad so there was no paper receipt, one is emailed to you directly. How green :)

What a divine little eatery in the Farmer’s Market. I sure do like this place a lot! I recently went here during the SIP and SHOP event. Every place was so crowded so I was surprised to even get a table! Micah our server was incredibly nice. So sweet and made great recommendations. My friend and I just had a little snack from the crostini bar. The fresh tomato basil crostini was so good. It was the right mix of basil to tomato. However, my favorite was the Farm Fresh Peach with Noble Springs Goat Cheese. The peaches were just decadent with the the goat cheese. All of this went nicely with the bottle of Red Wine. I don’t think the did half off of the wine for the SIP event, but if you go on a regular Wednesday, it is half off until close. This place is amazing! A must visit at the Farmer’s Market!

What can I say… I am a HUGH fan of the Weekend Crostini Bar! My personal fave is the Egg Salad… it is to die for! They say the«secret» is the farm fresh egg’s… I don’t care what it is as long as it’s in my belly! Service always has that personal touch and the restaurant layout is great for people watching at the Farmer’s Market. Thanks Arnold for yet another great place to dine in Nashville!

I will start this by saying that I am not an Arnold myint fan. I don’t care for pm, I think they’re overpriced and the service in general sucks ass. It has stopped me from going to the other concepts. However, this place is like a 3 minute walk from my place, and I happen to be around the farmers market a bit so we gave it a try on a Sunday morning. I was thoroughly impressed. I thought the food was definitely not expensive, especially considering how fresh it appeared to be. I got some sort of hummus sandwich, and the lady got the egg sandwich. I also got a salad, and although I forget which one it was, it was definitely delicious. The egg sandwich was like 3 bucks and my sandwich was cheap as well. I was definitely impressed with the quality for the money, and i will definitely go back. That doesn’t mean I will be going back to pm though, that place is stocked full of more people that don’t give a shit about life than a high school art class.

Best sandwiches in Nashville. You must try the grilled Pimento Cheese and Tomato and Red Pepper soup. Instant classic for me. The service was friendly and quick. I can’t wait to go for brunch this weekend.

The first time I tried am@fm, I was sorely disappointed(see my last review), but I decided to give it another chance today while I was at the farmers’ market next door. I saw that they offered a veggie and hummus sandwich on naan bread and ordered that with a side of kale with golden raisins and walnuts. It was tasty, quality food for under $ 7 and I left full! Now I get what all the hype is about and I believe that first time was just a fluke! I also want to give a shout-out to the really sweet young man at the counter who was very helpful and kind and gave me a free brownie — a far cry from the previous server who acted like she didn’t even want to be there. The kale was amazing and something definitely want to recreate at home and while the sandwich was good, the hummus could have been more flavorful — it was slightly on the bland side. Good thing the fresh naan made up for it!

This is more of a 2.5 star review. I may give it a shot on a weekend when I can sit at the little bar thing and order off the menu. this crostini bar sounds up my alley! I work in the food wasteland that is Metrocenter(can you say McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Taco Bell all sharing one driveway? YAY!) so I find myself at the Farmer’s Market a lot if I need lunch to go. It’s also nice when your coworkers can’t all decide on somewhere to go, everyone can get what they want there and all eat in the central food court. Watching am@fm take shape, I was hoping for a healthier option other than a greek salad from the meh Mediterranean place. While it is a welcomed addition to the market house, am@fm left a little to be desired. The sandwiches are pretty ok; I’ve had the moo shu wrap, the veggie naan and the smoked turkey. They are on the small side, and have had variable freshness, but tasty. I especially liked the thought to replace the fresh heirloom tomato at adorned the turkey sandwich in the summer time with sun-dried in the winter. Nothing like a tasteless off season tomato… blech. The sides are good too… eggplant salad has got a kick and the pasta salad is fresh and flavorful. One time I actually sat down at one of their classy tables(they occupy the area around the stand a few feet from the usual cafeteria tables in the middle) and they offered me a complimentary piece of this brownie cake thing from next door Butter Cake Babe bakery… which was divine! I popped into their shop afterward and had a look. It’s kinda on the expensive side for a light lunch when you add up drink, sandwich and side item. I wish they had a combo.

cute set-up, nice service. yummy looking food. Had the Moo Shu Chicken Salad! Wrap and Brussels sprouts. eh… I think I would have fared better had I sat down to eat. I’d go again. This time I’ll make sure I reserve the entire lunch hour to partake in the whole experience.

I was disappoined with am@fm when I came for lunch. My food was fair, but I was expecting to be wowed over because it’s Arnold Myint, you know? It was just pretty forgettable. Plus the bread on my sandwich was so stale, it kept falling apart everywhere. I can see how that happens if you’ve made the sandwich beforehand, but how about you put some dates/times on them? That shouldn’t have happened. Also, the counter girl was so apathetic. Not that she wasn’t friendly, but it did take her nearly 10 minutes to get something out of the cooler, pour drinks, and process our cards. I think she was stuck in perpetual slow motion.

Super concept but the big guy running the kitchen is one sour fellow. We left b/c he was so unpleasant to his other staff. I wouldn’t waste my time at this location but hit the Belmont locale(full service) instead. (if you aren’t ready for patrons on a Saturday, don’t open the kitchen)

Nashville celeb-chef Arnold Myint has done it again! Situated inside the Farmer’s Market, already one of my favorite places, is this delightfully delicious eatery. Like his other local hotspots, PM, Cha Chah, and Suzy Wong’s, the food here is rich and full of unique flavors. Since it was cold outside today, I was so happy to see a grilled cheese(with pimento and bacon) and tomato soup as their special, for $ 9. Looking at my plate, it didn’t seem like a lot of food, but it was so rich that I was full halfway through. In fact, the girls sitting next to me took half of theirs to go. But I’m no quitter, I ate the whole thing. Before your meal you get chips, and after I was so giddy to be served a brownie(didn’t have to even order it, just included with table service). I asked the chef who was there(who was also very friendly) and he said almost everything is made from Farmer’s Market food(except for the pasta). The techy geek in me also liked that you checkout on an iPad… helping to save trees one less paper receipt at a time. Love this place and will be back for much more.

Upon a recommendation to check out the farmers market while in Nashville for the day, I clearly could not pass up a chance to eat more Top Chef food… because I have only covered one contestant ever. So the more the merrier, and nothing else in the food court was really appealing to me. I got a half sandwich and a side plus a cup of lemonade. I chose the roast beef and white cheddar sandwich, which despite looking like something you could make yourself at home was really good. It was probably the best tasting roast beef I’ve had on this continent. It was simple, and that’s what made it good. The macaroni salad was amazing. I used to be pretty obsessed with the stuff as a kid, you know like the mayo-laden tubs of it from the grocery store. I don’t know why. I would take this over it every day, any time. I should have written this review like a month ago but completely forgot, I think rosemary was a big flavor in it. It was light, fresh, and just the right thing to go along with the sandwich. It didn’t seem like a lot of food but it was perfect. All three things were I think right under $ 9. It may seem a bit high for the location being a farmer’s market food court but it is high quality stuff and totally worth it.

WOW! Ate here for lunch today and I was blown away. The food and staff could not have been any better. To start I had a Moroccan stew. The flavor profile was spot on. Just delicious. I followed that up with a trio of farm fresh egg salad, local goat cheese with caramelized onions, and a bacon pimento cheese. They were served with buttered french bread and a bourbon honey streak on the side. This dish was absolute genius. The honey was a perfect accompaniment to each dish, but unique in how it fit. I ate every bite. As a side bonus, they give you free homemade chips to eat while you wait which are salty goodness. The two gents who were the chef/server combo were quite friendly and quick to tell me all of the details of where the food came from locally. This will be in my regular lunch rotation for sure!

Let me start by saying, I cant wait to go back to am@fm! For technically being in a food court in the Farmers Marker, Arnold Myint sure did step it up. He has created a casual, yet upscale counter restaurant in a food court. Bravo! I ordered half of a turkey sandwich and a side of the chick pea and feta salad. Everything was extremely fresh, which I would hope for being in the farmers market. If you choose to eat at their counter, which we did, you get a real place setting, not a recycled paper box. Its like you are eating at a nice restaurant, but paying the same price you would pay at come crappy fast-food joint. The service was great. They kept asking us if we were enjoying our meals, they even gave us a taste of their Mexican Chocolate & Coconut brownie. Which by the way, was delicious. I could be considered a geek by some, because of how fascinated I am with new innovate technology, so needless to say I was more than excited when the waiter sat an iPad in front of me. The screen showed a breakdown of all the food we ordered and you just swipe your card to pay. Then they text/email your receipt to you. How cool is that? So, for a fresh delicious meal under ten bucks, head down to the Farmers Market and check out am@fm.

I must preface that I adore Arnold Myint. I really do. However that is besides the point as even his sass can only get him so far. His scrumptious salads and gourmet sandwiches that are served up at insanely affordable price points at AM@FM will take him the rest of the way. So… basically, it’s safe to say that I am smitten with his newest dining spot which also offers up grab & go is my new favorite spot located in the Nashville Farmer’s Market. I dined with friend earlier this week and instantly felt comfy as I cozied up the counter with my 2 servings of chickpea salad and quinoa salad. Housemade chips were included which made for the perfect light, healthy, and affordable lunch which totaled at less than $ 5. Yes folks, less than $ 5. My friend ordered a veggie wrap and here totaled in for a whopping $ 5 too. You can’t even eat at Subway for that price and you certainly don’t get to enjoy locally sourced artisan food. AM will definitely be a regular stop for me for lunches and to also grab & go dinner on the way home! Brownies are offered as dessert or you can grab & go from the retail area that includes spices and those addictive housemade chips too. Arnold also mentioned that they are in the process of obtaining all the appropriate licensing to be able to serve vino too. Can’t wait! AM also adds an air of casual sophistication to the food court area with rich wood accents, beautiful branding, and who can resist the iPad checkout too? Arnold did good. Real good.

am@fm is the newest restaurant at the farmers market. It is owned by Arnold Myint, the guy that owns PM and was on a Food Network TV competition show. About 3 months ago, there was a Food Network event at the Farmers Market and Arnold mentioned am@fm would create food with real, veggies from where, the FARMERSMARKET. Get out! He walks down the hallway, picks out what he’s cookin and bam you’re eating it for lunch. What a concept! However, when actually going to the restaurant, there was no signage or information about this concept anywhere, so I am not sure how much of that is true, if at all. I suppose I could have asked(I was too busy taking photos!) It’s a pretty simple set up. There are about 5 sandwhich options, 5 salad options(which I gather change daily). You can get a half or a whole or a side or a pint. All prices vary from $ 2.95 + $ 6.95 or so. These sandwiches and side salads are in a cooler pre-prepared. Another option is you can go with the special that is a $ 13.00 option that is prepared for you on site by Arnold himself. There is a real sweet wooden bar with about 6 seats where you can watch him prepare the fresh special of the day, and plate it, and smile. It felt like a cooking demo. Word gets out about this premium seating and service and it’s gonna be just a line of hoovering people. The turkey tomato sandwich with the cucumber with onion dill salad I had was fresh and flavorful. The service was nice. They put your order in and cash out all via ipad. high tech! It was good and it tasted fresh. It’s a great addition to the farmers market. If I find out the whole ‘we-use-fresh-veggies-from-down-the-hall-every-day” is true, this is a 5-star place. Hooray for local business and veggies!

When I head to the farmer’s market for lunch, I usually end up with either BBQ or in line for a Gyro. Both lines were full today and in search of getting food a bit faster, I started walking around toward the back of the building when I noticed am@fm…and I’m glad I did. I was standing near the display area just scoping things out when one of the workers asked if he could help. I took him up on his offer and started asking him about some of the side items. They are all extremely fresh looking and all have a nice gourmet touch. After thinking for a second, I settled on the Fennel Slaw. A small cup wasn’t going to be enough to fill me up, so I paired it with a half-size Moo Shoo Chicken Wrap. To parch my thirst, I opted for the flavored water(which is free). I then paid for my food, the total was less than $ 7, and sat down to evaluate my choices. I started with the wrap. I took my first bite and was amazed at how good it tasted. It was fresh and lightly flavored. They included a side of extra sauce, but after the first bite, I decided it wasn’t needed to enjoy this meal. The most pleasing part is that I realized the wrap was nearly all chicken. Typically a restaurant will try and fill a sandwich with anything BUT meat, and this was loaded with delicious Moo Shoo Chicken. The fennel slaw was also wonderful. It is a basic vinegar basic slaw, but the fennel gave it a very fresh flavor. I can’t really say much else about it other than I suggest trying it and then returning to try something else… at least that’s what I plan to do. Two more quick comments and I’m done. It looks like they make the sandwiches and sides fresh daily, and also rotate what they offer daily. This is a huge plus for people who only have a few lunch options by their work and want to avoid repeatedly eating the same meal. Second, I was extremely happy that while their food was filling, it wasn’t so heavy that when I stepped back out into the 104 degree summer sun I didn’t immediately want to die from food misery.(«Milk was a bad choice.”-in my best Ron Burgandy voice)
