Wonderful black bookstore in Nashville that boasts a diverse range of genres, as well as gift items such as clothing, jewelry, and the like. My boyfriend and I spent a good chunk of a day there, and Vanderbilt University had to spend a good chunk of reimbursement cash after that.
This bookstore is also fairly well known — while at an IMAN festival in Chicago, IL this past week, a number of book/​newspaper vendors catering to black and Muslim consumers had it listed as a local distributor of their products. Very cool.

San Francisco Bay Area
This is an African-​American bookstore that specializes in adult and children books of all kinds written by and about African Americans. It’s also great for gifts, and cards. It reminds me of Marcus Books in the CA Bay Area.
The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed visiting this local bookstore found they had the set of books that I wanted.
I parked in the lot behind the building, though there are a few spaces in front of the building.
