Alexander’s Moving & Storage

We had a bad experience with this company.
Let me just say that the people that moved us did not appear to be honest. We blame ourselves in not checking every single item listed, as the movers said they would add some items not listed onto the packing list for us.
Hence we are a thousand dollars out of pocket and missing a very well crafted American made «Big Jim» longbow, quiver & arrows. Silly Us.

I would move with this company again but I would be very clear about my expectations. I chose Alexanders via Atlas van lines for my near cross-​country move (Nashville to LA), because they had offices in both Nashville and LA. In fact, they have a lot of office locations. I figured this would lead to seamless and rapid transition of my belongings since they have moving staff at both locations.
Not necessarily because their delivery window can be quite long, 7 days I think it was. If one is paying for a hotel in LA, the $ can add up. I didn’t really discuss the exact date with them beforehand so I can’t fault them for our miscommunication; I’m just a little disappointed that with all of their resources and 2 offices they couldn’t do more.
I know Allied van lines guarantees a 2 – 3 day delivery window which is something I would definitely be interested in if I were to do a long-​distance move again.
Alexander’s did deliver my things in perfect condition and the moving guys on both ends were wonderful to work with. They were quick, professional and friendly. The office staff is nice, also, again, I just need to be more clear if I use them again as movers.

This company is terrible. It took them 7 days to transport our stuff when me and my family made the drive to our new house in 2 days. On top of that they put a hole in a wall during a move and are trying not to pay for the damage. Their excuse is that, the moving crew says they didn’t do any damage. The hole is there regardless of what their crew says, so I guess that must mean I the customer am a liar.
WOW. Way to show that you value your customers!!!

We have used this company twice for moving and found them to be very professional and caring. Shaun Radcliffe was our driver and is the best. We are possibly moving again in the next year and we hope that Shaun is still working for them. It will give us peace of mind knowing that our special treasures are in excellent hands.
