The one good thing about moving back to New England is that the tailors here are way better than what I found in Texas. Seriously. Just so much better. - I have a suit that needed to be taken in(yay me) as well as another suit that a tailor in Texas ruined. I took them here and it was a great experience! - It’s an old-school tailor shop. Full of(somewhat dated) clothes and taped pictures up on the wall of suit and dress advertisements from magazines. Peter was not there when I went; he was currently in Greece according to the woman covering for him. But I had a great time talking to and discussing my suit issues with the woman working there. She taught me a thing or two about suits. She also did a great job on the one suit I needed taken in. The other suit — she could only adjust the pants. The tailor in Texas ruined the sport coat; she shortened the sleeves way too much, and didn’t leave the usual amount of fabric at the ends so we could lengthen them again. The pants were off too — one leg was ¼″ shorter than the other. The woman here spotted that, and fixed it. I learned that you NEVER leave a tailor shop without trying on your clothes! She fixed my stuff up same day, even though I didn’t need it done anytime soon. And at a very reasonable price. I’ll be going here again. What a great find!

He was nice, and I understand real tailors are a dying breed, but $ 30 for one garment alteration is steep! I could have bought my son a new pair of pants that fit him for that price!

Nice people, Profesional and practical… they understand very well how I wanted my suit to fit since I couldn’t find my fit at any retail store and Peter the tailor made it just how I imagined it and hoped it would look and fit, thank you guys.

We bought suits for our wedding at Brooks Brothers and the seller highly recommend Peter the Tailor for tailoring them. My partner went to get measured before I did and had a very poor experience. Peter was on vacation, and the elderly greek woman was there instead. She told him he shouldn’t wait until last minute(to note this is nearly 2 weeks before the wedding). She said she could have it the day before the wedding(which is not something you want to hear when using someone for the first time). The extended time was because it appears she was taking off some vacation as well during the week. They only accept cash which is inconvenient to say the least, but understandable for small businesses. The price was in line with others. When measuring the old woman had the nerve to say, someone so young shouldn’t be so overweight. Like most italians, we all over have a few extra pounds here and there, but wow. An incredibly rude woman who seems to think she does not need to earn your business. My partner called after and told me, and I told him, 1) I do not feel comfortable getting the suit complete the day before the wedding, especially since it’s due to both of their people taking vacations at the same time. Far more importantly, we shouldn’t be supporting a company who has little respect for their customers. So he went back and told her he decided to take the suit somewhere else because we were nervous about the completion date but would pay $ 20 for her time. She got quite lively and frustrated yelling at him saying that he doesn’t trust her. He said, well honestly the obscene weight comment and attitude was the main reason. She said she would never call someone fat, but then later admitted what she said, but that she didn’t mean it negatively. After more yelling, she ironed out all the marks off his suit, and he left. All in all, we hear Peter is good, and this woman may be a good tailor, but with so much competition we will not provide any business to someone who behaves like a child, no matter how old they are. We cannot recommend this location to anyone for as long as she is employed. We went to Men’s Warehouse and had a great experience [again]. They measured, and are able to get it done a week sooner for the same price.

Needed to get a rip in my pants fixed, and tried a different Nashua tailor first. They were closed, so I found Peter on Unilocal.I went to his store, dropped my pants off with him and he had them fixed in minutes. I will definitely go back for future tailoring needs!

In the last week, both my wife and I have made visits to Peter the Tailor to have alterations done on some clothing for an upcoming event. We expected to drop off and pick up the next day but the owner said we could just wait 10 minutes. Just did the work in both cases on the spot and did an excellent job. The price was very reasonable too but saving us time is huge. We will definitely use them again.

I was referred to the tailor by a local store. They said the tailor was quick and did great work. I went to try the suit on, and the lady who was there to size the suit, said it was way to small and I needed to go back and get one size bigger. After doing some research I learned this is common BS in the tailoring industry. I went back to the store who referred me and they tailored the suit perfectly within the time frame I needed. I would not recommend this tailor.
