Gary is an amazing artist! With only a few ideas to go off of he presented me with a drawing that was bold, beautiful and exactly what I was looking for! I’m looking forward to working with Gary and Mayhem Ink with all my future tattoo cravings! Awesome Price, Awesome Atmosphere, I highly recommend!

Really nice people and great work. I never liked a tattoo studio enough to return a second time, mostly due to rude owners or artists but this place is different. Cathy the owner is wicked nice, and my artist Bobby was easy to get along with for the several hours I spent in his chair. They have signs up everywhere that say they will work with your budget with is cool and when I gave Bobby my idea he designed something better than I expected. I have had work done by plenty of talented artists but this is my spot now because it’s not only good work but good people too.

Gary has a great attitude. Everyone in the shop seemed to be welcoming when we walked in. When a tattoo artist gets excited about a piece to be, and exuberates confidence and seriousness, it makes me confident in wanting to give him business. This review is for customer service and shop cleanliness. I’ll update results on my fiances tat, and update when I get my backpiece completed.

Went last week to see Scott because of an infected Conch piercing I got at another piercing pallor. He was WONDERFUL. Took great care of me, got my ear cleaned up, switched the earring for a better quality ring, and left some directions to help the healing. He is definitely an experienced and professional piercer. If I have problems with my conch again or am in the mood for another piercing will be going back to see him.

Had my 20+ year-​old Tao of Pooh tattoo recolored today by Jarvis. He did a great job with the colors and was patient and «gentle» with me [i.e., stopped every little bit to let me breathe/​rest]. They were clean and professional. Not a fan of the music they were playing, but, it probably suits the usual crowd that goes there, who are probably as old as my tattoo… so that was fine! Thank you Jarvis. «Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon.»

So I went tattoo shopping knowing I was going to get a tattoo should I find one that I liked. I have had tattoos since 1986 and was used to being able to walk into a shop and get a tattoo. Mayhem is in my opinion one if the last original old school shops were you do not need to make an appointment.
Walked in with a design and Reno took a look not only said yeah no problem but not only took me with no appointment he hand scetched the design. Long story short tattoo came out amazing, I was so impressed I went back 5 days later and walked in and had Reno do a cover up no appoinent needed. My wife was so impressed she too went down no appointment walked out with a great tattoo.
Mayhem and Reno has 2 customers for life. We are even planning on bringing a friend for their first tattoo soon. Choose Mayhem you will not regret your choice.

I just came here because a piecing I got at a different place came out. Jen saw me and was amazing! She was very nice to me and explained nicely what the other place had done wrong but then gave me sea salt (an entire container) and special soap to wash my nose and 2 print out of instructions and her cell for any complications! She did an amazing job and was super great the entire time, wonderful bedside manner. Although I’m pissed I knocked the piercing out it was good because Jen fixed it and now I know where to go.
Also I made the drive from Boston to come here and it was well worth it!
The entire parlor was sparkling clean as I waited I watched all the artists constantly wash down their stations, it was a great experience.

So Alex is the shit.
I got my two first tattoos from Andy at mayhem years ago and I suffer from loyalty that is immense. Don’t be a d-​bag, I’ll rally at your side in war. Having not gotten a tattoo in years I went back to mayhem in the hopes that they continue to have cool dudes. By chance I got saddled with Alex despite being a walk in and despite not challenging him in my request (I wasn’t going for some epic sleeve of Fraudian Faery work that he could show off to his pals later or anything) he was cool as hell, patient with me while I pranced in front of the mirror and made him move the template three times, and then sassed me the whole time he was stabbing me with a needle.
I went back today to ask him to stab me with needles again, blatantly stating that the tats I want are boring as hell, and he was down. It was on like donkey kong.
Oh and the dude who would pierce you is a sweetheart as well. He ain’t piercing me though, that’s for damn sure. I prefer ink not holes.
So, outcome is this, it’s clean and open and welcoming and they’re good shits. Nough said.

I can’t believe this place hasn’t been reviewed yet. Must give it props.
The shop is clean and awesome looking inside, the artists are helpful, friendly and do awesome work at a great price, and they tattooed my friend and I with no notice or attitude about us not having an appointment. We got some attitude from Devotion Ink and that’s how we ended up at Mayhem.
The shop was a lot more welcoming and so were the artists. It seemed like they really enjoyed their craft. I have three tattoos and, while I love them all, I love the one I got at Mayhem the most because the experience itself was enjoyable. It kind of sucks to spend a couple of hours being jabbed by a guy who seems like he hates you or is doing a chore or seems to think he is better than the universe. The people are Mayhem were down to earth and came across as genuinely interested in our existance and desire for tattoos. It helped me keep my mind off of the two hours of needling that was done to my ribcage.
I’ll be going here for my next major ink dose (when I have money again).
