Mavrikis Upholstering & Furniture Designs

Long story short… I just had twins and I have this amazing (and super expensive) nursing rocker that needed to be reupholstered and new foam padding, etc… I planned ahead, long before the babies were due, and used a reputable upholsterer that also happens to be a quasi-​relative I paid market rates and I got an incomplete job that included different arms (one pleated, one not), my old foam reused, the chair not put back together properly, the seat was worse — it seemed to have no support at all and when I sat on it, the cushion sank and a metal bar was exposed, etc… Because of some family dynamics and the severity of the problems, we decided to cut our losses. I called Mavrikis to fix this mess and they came to my rescue. Although they book well in advance, they took pity on me because my twins were already here. They took the chair on a Wednesday and got it back to me the following Saturday. The difference is unbelievable — it now feels better constructed and more comfortable than it did when it was brand new. It turns out the other upholsterer had reused all the prior foam and support, and where the stitching was tearing she used duct tape to hold it together — no wonder it was not holding any weight! I was desperate and Mavrikis could have charged me more, but he ultimately charged me $ 75.00 less than what he quoted me over the phone! I definitely recommend them for upholstery services!
