When the chair arrived, disabled adult was given two choices: sign for delivery of multiple large boxes dropped outside home; or refuse delivery. Multiple requests for refund were refused, and threat of legal actions made due to defamation.

OK folks. This will be my third review of Scott Philo and his business (Massage Chairs For Less) Actually it’s an update to let you know I ended up getting an attorney in New Hampshire since I live in California to deal with Scott Philo. Mr. Philo sued me for $ 100,000 for defamation. My attorney, Jack White in New Hampshire did an excellent job and won the suit.
In my opinion, Mr. Scott Philo should not be allowed to do business in this country. Should you have a problem with Scott Philo and his business practice’s please say so on Unilocal and do not be intimidated by his threats. I can honestly tell you I know he is suing one other person for $ 200,000 that purchased a chair from Scott. I have not obtained permission from the person that is being sued to use his name or I would tell you. He might decide to add a review, I hope he does. This business is, in my opinion so corrupt it is beyond belief. Please, please do not do business with this person. I am beginning to wonder. You can sue anyone for anything. Should you or your representative not show up in court to fight the suit you could lose a lot of money from a frivolous and untrue lawsuit. I am not saying this is the case but if true a crook could make quite a bit of money in lawsuits to supplement his income. Maybe someone out there can answer this question.
Well, I am done with this person, at least I hope so. I hope I never need to give a bad review to anyone again. Be careful out there folks, it is wicked. God Bless you all and I will pray for for Mr. Scott Philo to change his bad business and people dealings should he continue doing business.

Scott pursued us after we called with some questions like could I try one out (No), etc. He called twice assuring us that we had a 14 day money back trial. He also assured us that all businesses had negative Unilocal reviews and they were nonsense.
Why didn’t I listen to the reviews or to my brother who said never buy from an online website? Or my brother-​in-​law who said how can you buy a chair without trying it first? I guess it was my husband’s longing for daily massages that I agreed to the 14-​day trial. Scott did not honor it. He said it did not apply to discounted chairs. All of the chairs on his site are sold at below MSRP making none of them eligible.
The chair was a complete disaster, the air bags crushed our arms and our feet had to be pushing on the bottom to keep the chair extended. We added pads but the «balls» were just too painful.
If you MUST buy his chair, may I suggest taping your conversation with him when he says there’s a 14-​day, money back guarantee, so you can easily sue him and his unethical business practices.

ULTIMATE MASSAGE CHAIR III Review– Massage Chairs For Less Reviews– Buyer Beware– Will not honor 14 day «risk free» in home trial that is advertised– BUYER BEWARE– ULTIMATE MASSAGE CHAIR III Broken On Arrival– Massage Chairs For Less– Scott has charged me over $ 4,900 and all I have is his broken chair that he refuses to pickup. He has charged me $ 2800 for the defective chair plus $ 2,100 in fee’s additional after I cancelled a replacement he pressured me into agreeing to (nearly one month after he took my payment) that I did not want in the first place! I ordered The ULTIMATE MASSAGE CHAIR III from Massage Chairs For Less– The ULTIMATE MASSAGE CHAIR III arrived broken. The leg, foot and calf massager did not work at all. Also the airbag system in the chair was non operational. I sent Scott an email asking if he could send a new footrest or that I would like to return the chair. He told me that If I could not fix the problem myself that he would schedule a tech to come out. in which I felt he was giving me the runaround about the tech anyway. He said he was scheduling a tech then went back on his word… First big mistake. I was a helpful as I could be and did what the factory had asked me to do. I noticed a main screw that holds the chair to the frame was drilled in sideways and completely wrong. I sent a picture asking Scott. This was downplayed, brushed off and forgotten about. Also two zippers broke while doing what the factory had instructed me to do. My faith in the quality of the chair was deteriorating. The fix the factory sent, had me taking apart the entire footrest to fix a split hose line which should have been caught by Scotts claim that all chairs were tested first before being sent… Excited to finally get a message and have a working chair, I called Scott to go over the operation like he had asked. He explained how to use the chair and I was able to finally get a massage. Later that night after we spoke the footrest fell out of the track, hitting the floor, totally extended while my legs were attached. The factories fix, had caused another issue, which they took responsibility for. I was asked again to open up the footrest to fix it. This was the last straw. Prior to me trying to fix this myself, following Scotts rules I had sent multiple request asking if he could just replace the footrest assembly. I was not comfortable with being stuck with the current mangled one. The materials and tolerances are not necessarily designed to be taken apart… I warned Scott, that I was thinking about charging back my card through email. After sending 4 or more detailed, separate return requests Scott did not even acknowledge the return request or make firm arrangements to send a new assembly. THIS WAS MOST UNSETTLING TO ME. If I had any indication from Scott that he would take the chair back, I would have felt more comfortable dealing with him… HUGE RED FLAG– This was not the case… Risk free in home trial not honored… No compromise… He finally sent a new footrest assembly against my multiple return request, only after I had charged my credit card back. It took 27 days after I had paid for chair, for new footrest to arrive. In fact, the day Scott finally told me that it would be sent out the following day, come the following day guess what… IT DID NOT GET SENT OUT THE DAY SCOTT SAID IT WOULD. and now to make things worse it was the weekend so 2 more days were added on top of Scotts broken promise. If this had arrived in a timely manner and had fixed the issues, we could have come to an agreement. Scotts reply to the delay, «the warehouse manager was busy shipping chairs out» Good Scott, typical I have your money you can wait now attitude.
I was so upset at all of the broken promises and unnecessary stress, When it finally arrived I told him that I was not going to open it. Chair is packaged up waiting for Scott to come pick it up which he as refused to do so… run the other way!
