This is the best traditional seafood restaurant in Naples. The menu offers a variety of tasty, ever changing dishes. From soup to dessert you’ll enjoy top quality fare. Service is excellent and knowledgeable. Dining dress is more towards office casual. In the winter reservations are a must and often need to be made two weeks in advance.

Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. You can go to the formal dining room, the more casual claw bar side, or just sit at the bar. They also had live music the night we went there, and it was good … Not so loud it ruined conversation, and good enough that it stirred the energy. The West Coast oysters were very good. The St. Augustine Stew was unique, and quite tasty. And the Lobster Boil was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in a while. If you are hanging out in Naples, swing by and give this place a try. Good stuff.

Excellent food and service. Took our mother there for her 50th birthday. Will definitely be going back for more. The manager Steve will make you feel like a million dollars.

It pains me to rate the once 5 star Bay House a 3 but my recent experience was a solid 3. The service in my prior 4 visits over the past 2.5 years was stellar. The servers showed personality with impeccable timing. The service was still pretty solid but our server seemed somewhat irritated after I asked a simple question. She closed us out within us asking in a seating area full of empty tables. Food still good but not as great as I recalled the seafood stew was just ok but the fried green tomatoes were excellent. I’ll definitely give them another shot but in an area with tons of options I hope they pick up their game.

Though we never heard of The Bay House in the 20+ years we’ve been visiting Naples, after reading about it in a «best of» article online, we decided to give it a try — and boy do we regret not knowing it was here before. Definitely a destination spot, you’d never know it was there off 41 unless you read about it or a friend suggested. Off the beaten path as they say. The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the Lobster/Crab Potholes(essentially lobster served in the style of escargot with butter/herbs). The meat was properly cooked and while the sauce was garlicky, it lacked a bit of salt which was easily fixed. Skip the ‘croutons’ though and sop up the butter with the delicious rolls they bring to the table. Also had a half dozen raw oysters — nothing remarkable here, but they were fresh and of a good size. My husband had the Coastal Pan Roast of fish, shrimp, scallops and a deviled crab cake. Wow, wow, wow. Everything was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The scallops and shrimp had this amazing grilled flavor — a stellar main. I don’t normally order chicken in a restaurant(why bother when we cook it all the time at home) BUT, the Nashville Chicken kept calling me and so glad I went for it. Again, perfectly cooked thigh and airline breast was moist and flavorful, not dry at all. It was served with a dill spätzle and sautéed cabbage with a mildly spicy butter sauce. We would absolutely order those dishes again. So good. Our server(who shall go un-named ;o) was very attentive and helpful without being intrusive. made us feel welcome the moment we sat down, and even chatted a bit with us towards the end of the evening. When we visit again, we’ll certainly seek him out. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner!

I’ve eaten several times at the Claw Bar 5 stars) but this was my first time at the adjoining restaurant, The Bay House. Excellent service by Courtney, incredibly fresh oysters, and outstanding entrees. The fried oysters with remoulade elated in my mouth.

We spent Easter brunch at The Bay House and had a spectacular time. The ambiance of this place is second to none. There was a live band playing, the service was top notch and the food was perfect. They have some very unique brunch items, if you cannot find something you love it is your fault not theirs! We will be back next year! Thank you guys for an extremely memorable experience!

An amazing experience! Stunning location, superb service. excellent food — all that’s needed for special night. Pimento cheese, coastal pan roast and piping hot beignets are must tries. Many tanks to Steve and his staff for a memorable night. Can’t wait to come back!

Our neighbors invited us out for dinner last night. They said we would love this place. I’m not a seafood eater, but I knew they would have a chicken dish. :) When we got there, it was packed do we had a valet take care of the car– not what we wanted to do, but we did t know where else to park. This hidden gem is so cute! They really put a lot of thought into the layout and decorations. The outdoor seating looked really inviting, but we went inside since it was really humid. Our server was very nice– although since he was so busy, we had to wait a while for service. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I ordered the half chicken dish which had dill spätzle. How awesome is that? It even had little sliced mini pickles in it. It was savory and tart at the same time. I really enjoyed my fish. I believe everyone else liked theirs as well. We will be back next season.

Made a reservation for 5 people and we got there to check in and an older female with glasses said we only made it for four and that they would not be able to accommodate us. We even asked if we could just pull up a chair but the lady was very rude and said absolutely not. Instead they put us outside at a table in direct sunlight and said we couldn’t be moved because they had more reservations coming… That never showed. I ordered crab claws and was not impressed. Only 3 claws came in a half pound?! My other guests had steaks that were WAY over cooked. Moral of the story: nothing special, sub par food, rude staff, slow. Will not be returning.

We went for Easter Brunch. The food was average and service was slow — waiter took forever getting drinks and kept forgetting side dishes and requests for refills. The menu is overpriced for the quality of ingredients they use and the choices are limited if you’re on a restricted diet — not much variety(mostly carbs) and the kitchen was inflexible about making substitutions. The kids menu was peculiar — the adult menu has brunch classics like French toast and pancakes but the kid’s menu is mostly lunch dishes: fish and burgers… no French toast or pancakes? My son ordered the French toast from the adult menu which was a mountain of syrup soaked sweet bread — more like bread pudding or monkey bread than French toast. My father-in-law got food poisoning from the mussels appetizer he ordered. It’s a nice location if you get a table with water views, otherwise you’re staring swampy brush. Perhaps it’s a good place to go for cocktails and sit on the deck? Note to drivers with nice cars — it’s ALL valet parking. Not sure why as it’s large lot but every spot is set aside for valet parking. So beware a college aged kid will be parking your Bentley.

Had dinner tonight came for crab claws, they called them medium size but we’re in fact small. Over rated as fine dinning. Appetizers were average and pricey but very small portions. Very disappointing. I was our third time there and thought it would be the charm but wasn’t. Will not go back!

The atmosphere was nice but that was as good as it got for our visit. Lauren was our server and she was just ok. It took an hour to get our order out.(4 people) The Crab bisque was bland and mine had a crab shell in it. They did bring out a small pimento cheese spread complimentary because of the delay with our food. Steer clear of the biscuits and gravy. Way overpriced for $ 18. You get a tiny tiny portion of golf ball sized fried biscuits(which were undercooked and doughy) and one piece of sausage with what was supposed to be two eggs but mine was one for whatever reason. The amount of sawmill gravy was underwhelming also. I am a frequent biscuit and gravy orderer whenever we go to brunch or breakfast and this was the worst I’ve had in Naples. All in all: service should have been faster, portions should be better and if not, prices should reflect portions. I will not be returning.

We dined here recently while on vacation. Fairly nice restaurant, but wanted to mention that it seemed like a place more for the older crowd and/or large family groups. But then again, the average age is the retiree category — it’s Florida! The band at the bar was playing oldies. A mild annoyance was the wine steward who spent more than half of our meal standing by the customers at the next table, pontificating about all of his successes and knowledge in many industries. Good thing we did not order wine! If you request something vegetarian, they can make a special meal not on the menu. No one was sitting outside and we thought the lower patio might have been a fun place to hang out on a different visit. It was too dark to see any of the view, but it appeared to be a rustic, quiet area near a swamp. Also — one note about parking — you can park on the driveway leading up to the restaurant if you want to avoid valet, but watch out for gators.

What is the Bay House reservations policy at present? We can not make a reservation for 8 or more people, given a lame excuse for answer. like we only have one table for 8 and it’s reserved. What is that!!! I have always had dinner or brunch for 8 or more in the past. At least if you are not accepting reservations, it would be nice to inform your customers up front, instead of being dismissed rudely.

I really enjoy coming to the Bay House whenever I am on vacation in Naples. I love the old-school rustic atmosphere and beautiful views of the bay. Our party of 2 had dinner reservations over the holiday and were seated right in front of a large bay window with a spectacular view of the water and outdoor eating area. We started with the fried oysters, which are some of the best I have ever had. For my main course I went with the lobster pot pie. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to– the flavors were lacking a bit and it could have used a little more seasoning. The other member of my party ordered the seafood medley and seemed to enjoy it very much. I have some issues with the prices being too high for the amount of food that you get, but most of the time the food is so delicious that it makes up for the cost. If you aren’t looking to spend a ton of money, I would suggest sitting in the claw bar(still a really nice atmosphere and delicious food!) When making the reservation, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday, and our waitress brought out a complimentary glass of champagne and dessert for both of us. I thought that was so generous and the cherry on top of our great experience. Can’t wait to come back!

BBQ Plate was superb, however, should state what«smoked meats» you are getting on the menu. Server was excellent and brought out a sample of pimento cheese for my friend. Ended with a sample of one of their chocolate cakes. Manager came and spoke with us as well. Overall, excellent service and delicious food.

The ambience, the food, the service, the live music, everything is 10 out of 10! Whenever I have guests we usually end up making a visit to the Bayhouse/Clawbar! The menus are a little different and so is the scene, but both restaurants are attached to one another. Everything I have eaten here had been hands down amazing! It’s a little pricey, but then again it is one of the nicest restaurants in Naples. I always end up taking a few photos out on the balcony because it’s such a beautiful backdrop. If you haven’t tried the Claw bar or the Bayhouse yet, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and try your new favorite Naples restaurant! :)

Chef Andy’s tasting menu was absolutely fabulous with New Orleans inspired dishes. Running during summer on Saturday evenings, you need to get here in case they do no continue this. Poached oysters, garlic soup, crab, seafood cooked perfectly, and finishing off with beignets! Menu changes weekly but is amazing. $ 65 pp for 8-courses, +$ 35 for wine pairings which were spot on!
