I had lunch here today with my wife and son and his wife; the worst meal my wife and I have ever had our 53 years of marriage. Some horrible blobs of mozzarella cheese of 4 sick tomato slices with a little balsamic vinegar. I did manage to get the Caribbean shrimp down, but barely. They were pretty bad. I noticed a lot of house flies around us, while there. Before leaving, I went into the restroom. Filled with house flies; DOZENS. They were in the sink overflow drain, and all over the toilet seat. This place may have been cleaned once, but it was a very long time ago. The Board of Health needs an invitation to this place.

After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant to go to dinner here but decided I would give it a shot. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a decent meal with a great view of the lake then you might enjoy this restaurant. The waitress we had was very friendly and gave her honest opinion when asked about certain items on the menu. The food was good, no complaints from our party. We ordered everything from an appetizer to sandwiches and dinner plates. Everything we had was hot, fresh, and tasted great.

I’m so sad to say this place has ruined mine and my husbands evening… We were rushing to get home to Boston, but I really wanted a Maine lobster. Never mind that it took forever to order and get our food(1.5hrs!) they brought me the wrong thing… And no lobster crackers for my lobster. I asked for them, and they were still never brought out. My husband finished his food, as I tried to rip the lobster apart with my hands. When I ripped the tail off and took a small bite, it tasted really bad and was definitely overcooked and smelled old… My husband’s lobster roll was terrible as well. It was just an overall bad experience, it’s really sad because it’s a beautiful spot.

Service was slow however the server was friendly. I got the Spanish omelette. Delicious. But the toast was rock hard. It’s nice that it’s on the water and they have outdoor seating.

There seems to be two entries for some reason for this place… so I put my review in both. We ate here TWICE during our 4 day stay in Naples and actually wished we could have had another opportunity to come back before we left. Food: We loved their New England Clam Chowder. The smaller size soup is pretty big and would more aptly be described as a ‘bowl’ instead of the ‘cup’ description on their menu. Their baked stuffed haddock was delicious, as was their broiled scallops. We didn’t particularly enjoy their steamers, since they were pretty grainy. However, we had never eaten steamers before and didn’t know what to expect. Drinks: Cheap drinks. They offer a pretty good selection of local beers and their mixed drinks were good too. Service: Pretty on par with what we experienced overall in this area – slower service, but friendly staff. Location: Since we ate here midday both times, we sat outside on the deck. The view is gorgeous and the seats are protected from the chilly wind off the lake. Perfect for relaxing after a couple of hours on the beach. However, since they are so close to the Seaplanes, it can get loud during take off/landing – but it’s also entertaining watching the planes.

Annual visit to Sandy’s. The food was good but maybe not as good as previous visits. Fried clams a bit overcooked, scallops on pasta so-so. I wouldn’t hesitate going back, though. Great setting right on Long Lake, pleasant restaurant, friendly, efficient service.

Our favorite casual restaurant in Naples. Great view and best cooked soft shell lobster. Staff is friendly and attentive and prices are reasonable. The pies are terrific!

The place didn’t appear to be very clean. I had to send my food back because it was cold and not fully cooked. After about ten minutes the server mentioned a problem with my re-order so I decided to cancel it altogether.

I don’t understand all the terrible reviews for Sandys, but our visit today definiately was above average for any sit down restrauant. My g/f is local to the Naples/Bridgton area, and myself; a tourist from far far away in Texas. We decided to come by before leaving Maine. My g/f had the lobster omelette, which had huge chunks of lobster and easily could have fed 2 people. I had a short stack og pancakes which were really good along with some bacon. Vickie was very friendly and immediately gave a warm greeting upon entering the restrauant. She asked us where we wanted to sit and brought us to the table we requested. Our waitress, Morgan, came right over and got us our drinks. She was very patient as we looked over the menu and also informed us of the daily specials. She was very attentive and sweet. On the way out, Vickie the hostess asked us how everything was and told us if we had time to alk the causeway which was beautiful. Keep the nice staff and keeo up the good work. Will definiately return on our next visit.

We went there for lunch on a Thursday was a beautiful day we sat out on the back deck the waitress was very nice but the food took forever our special sandwich appeared to be only half of the sandwich and the $ 7.99 onion rings were on the plate with the sandwich not a very good experience overall;/

Restaurant is half empty but they are still way overwhelmed. They are out of milk? Ordered Breakfast over a half hour ago and nothing has come yet. Mimosa was flat and warm. Second one was half the size. We come hear once a year hoping that this is the year they have figured it out but this is not the year. Food was not good and there was black chunks on the home fries from a dirty grill. I gave it 2 stars because I was at least a little impressed that the person collecting payment took the drinks off our bill after she asked us how the meal was and we said«to be honest not good»

Sandy’s is a family diner. A place to go and eat that’s not too costly while you are on vacation. The views are beautiful and the food is what you could expect for a family diner. We always have a great time when we go! Burgers, breakfast, and fish always good!

First off I would like to say Amy the waitress was so sweet and I feel sorry for a nice girl like her that needs to work at a dump like this place. I would give this place 0 stars if it were possible. I went in with my family(5 of us). We ordered 3 orders of clam chowder. After 10 minutes the waitress came back and said that they only had one order left because that’s all they had leftover from LASTNIGHT. When we decided to share the chowder it was ICECOLD. what a great start to a meal right? Went along great with my watered down soda. Then the next news of the night was that they actually didn’t have any of the«Vegetable of the Day» ATALL. «Would peas be an okay alternative?» What were we to say but«yes» After the 30 minute wait for our food it finally arrived! Woohoo right? NOPE! When I bit into my NY Sirloin it was not even tepid. Looks like they decided to skip to defrost cycle. French fries were probably 40 degrees. My sisters haddock was cold, as well as my dad’s. This food tasted so bad we are guessing they just threw it into the microwave right before they brought it out. My grandmother and mother both got the Scallops with Crab stuffing. No crab, all stuffing, and you guessed it… FREEZING!!! All the sides that came with the meal were terrible as well. So as any disappointed visitor would do, we decided to bring our concerns to the manager. This would help it get taken care of… so we thought. When we began to express our concerns this woman(the manager) began to ARGUE with us saying that they never use leftovers(after our waitress had told us they had), that there was NOWAY the steak could be cold, and that there was a whole 2LBS of crab in the Scallop dish, but we couldn’t taste it because it was«super small.» ISTHISPLACEFORREAL? Eventually they came to their senses, made us only pay for drinks, and we ran out of that place looking for barf bags and a pizza joint. Avoid this place at all costs. Don’t even bother. Steer clear. Run for the hills and never look back!

This place is a joke as far as seafood is concerned. The clan chowder is canned. Has no clams and tastes like bull semen. Growing up in Maine I know chowder. This place shouldn’t advertise unless they can cook. It also took an hour to get to the table. Poor service. .horrible food

My wife and I had lunch at Sandy’s today. We had been about four times in the past. We had broiled scallops which were good size, cooked perfect, and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The interior is dated but the view and the food is a fair price. Unilocalers who complain about Sandy’s not being fine dinning and slow service should remember where they are. For a tourist spot in Maine this IS fine dinning. It is not Boston. If the service seems a little slow, this is Maine. No one moves fast here and they do not rush you out. This the way life should be.

We went to Sandy’s Flight Deck during the Maine Blues Festival. Our last trip here about 10 years ago scared us away for this long with a really bad tasting greasy hamburger. We ordered buffalo chicken wings, beer and ice tea only this time. The buffalo wings were the worst I’ve ever had. The meat itself wasn’t the problem. The issue was that they were soggy and swimming in a very sweet sauce that didn’t have much hot to it. There was a half inch of this sauce at the bottom of the dish. Instead of serving this with blue cheese sauce and celery Sandy’s Flight Deck served it with ranch salad dressing. The ice tea was over brewed and perhaps sitting for a very long time. The beer was fine. The music there was very good so if you go there to listen to music stick to the beer.

Stopped in on our way back from NH with another couple. I ordered a hurricane, a fairly common/standard drink. The underage, rude and incompetent waitress gave way too much attitude for my liking and took our drink orders to the bar. She returned quickly to tell me the«bartender» didn’t know what that was. I explained the drink and gave instructions on how to make it. The waitress returned with a pineapple rum drink and proceeded to tell me the«bartender» said I shouldn’t order nonexistent drinks. I told her it was a popular drink«you know like the Jimmy Buffet song five o’clock somewhere. …get me a hurricane before I go insane». She was so completely rude and to top it off the«bartender» came to our table to tell me «your not in margaritaville and definitely not Jimmy Buffet». I have never been treated so rudely in an establishment in my life! I have heard many others having a bad experience as well. Stay away from this dirty, unprofessional and rude, poor excuse of a restaurant/bar.

I have frequented Maine for the past 22 years and I have never had an experience quite like the one here. I went with two others and we arrived about 40 minutes prior to closing time. We were unaware; we could not find any posted business hours and it was early evening when we arrived. They employees failed to tell is this as well. We requested to sit on their back deck overlooking Long Lake. This was a nice place to sit, inside was hot, noisy and crowded but this is a given for a night in August. Our server looked to be about 14. She was so unknowledgeable about everything the restaurant offered that it took us about 25 minutes to order because she had to keep running inside to ask other employees the questions we had. We started with a few drinks and the server actually asked us to point out the birthdate on our IDs. Our food finally came. It was kind of decent but extremely overpriced. I understand that you’re paying for the experience as well, but this was horribly lacking in addition to the food. Halfway through the meal we had to go inside the restaurant to hunt down our server to ask for more drinks. At this point in time she informed us that the restaurant would be closing in 10 minutes and was not sure we would be able to get any other drinks, alcoholic or not. We also asked for more napkins too, because we were enjoying lobster, and our server gave us ONE. One extra napkin for three people… not possible. After this mishap, our server proceeded to stalk our table for the next 15 minutes reminding us they were closing or closed. We hurriedly ate what we could and paid the bill at the front register. An older woman took our payment and even had the nerve to explain what tipping meant!!! The three of us are mid/late-20s women from Boston, Providence and NYC respectively; it’s clear we know how to tip. We left a very small tip to reflect the mediocre-at-absolute-best treatment and service we received and the older woman had the nerve to call us tourists. Does this mean they treat locals better? What a terrible way to run a business in a seasonal, tourist town. We left this joke of a restaurant and headed to Bray’s where the servers and bartenders are kind, RESPECTFUL and intelligent. We danced the night away to their live band and laughed about our terrible experience at Sandy’s. I’ll never return to this sewer hole. GAGME. Find me at Bray’s!!!

Gave this place 4 tries for breakfast in the last 2 months. Never going back. Way over priced, $ 6.99 for three pancakes.$ 1.99 extra for maple syrup. Really! No thanks! Didn’t order that. I went with my son and cousin over the Labor Day weekend for breakfast. Great View of Long Lake. It was early so there is no crowd. One waitress was definitely hung over hating the world. So we order. My son had eggs Benny. The poached eggs where solid. little hollindaise sauce. He sent that back. The next eggs Benny comes out the same friggin way! Solid yokes! That Sucks! Eggs Benny HASTOHAVERUNNYYOKES. SHAMEONYOUCOOK! I had simple two egg scrambled, bacon, English muffin. The Bacon was horrible, rancid, and burnt 2 tiny pieces. Cheap ass English muffins. Bad! My cousin had an omelet. His didn’t look too bad. He ate it without complaining. The saving grace is the home fries. They are good kind of like thick chips. if it wasn’t for the home fries I would have given this place 1 Star! The owner should start checking the quality of food. One other thing. A REALLOBSTERROLLHASTAILMEATINIT. IFNOT, YOUAREGETTINGTHATFROZENBAGLOBSTER!!! I SAWTHEPIC! THATISFROZENBAGLOBSTERROLL!
