Hands down the worst bedside manner and overall medical practice. I checked in with a high fever, burning lungs, all the typical flu symptoms and a desperation for some help. I was never even seen by a doctor, the nurses never even brought me water, they didn’t update me throughout the 3 hours I was there. They were cold, rude, and passive aggressive when I was sharing my symptoms. After a chest x Ray and some flu swabs, they sent me home with a diagnosis of pneumonia and the flu, with one prescription of the zpack. ?? My mom asked the physicians assistant at check out«is there anything we should keep an eye out for?» And the jerk said«like what? What do you mean?» My mom said«I dont know, you tell me, if she doesn’t get better!!» Three days later I knew something wasn’t right and decided to go to the urgent care across the street from NCH, thank God I trusted my gut because this doctor couldn’t believe my symptoms weren’t treated properly with other heavier medications for my flu and pneumonia. In fact he even said he hates that hospital, they just treat patients like they’re herding cattle! So so upsetting! Don’t go to NCH! NCH staff were all heartless, dismissive and inability to show compassion! NCH should be ashamed of your practices – I always heard its slang for«never coming home» and I believe it!

This is a challenged hospital on all fronts. During«season», they are short and poorly staffed, over-run with complicated patients in a part of the country where access to healthcare is least important. Except for the ED, where nurses seemed to be trained to be perpetually angry and distracted, the staff in the hospital appears to be trying hard in austere circumstances. DONOT be assuaged by the«Mayo Network of Care» sign– this hospital has nothing in common with Mayo other than paying a fee to have the sign. In their defense, they have to run a hospital where the patient population may actually double depending on the weather in the north. Not in their defense is that it doesn’t matter when it’s you or your loved one getting ignored or horrible sub-standard care. Get to the airport if you can. If not, avoid the ED at all costs.

Absolutely horrible. I went to emergency room for sever migraines that I’ve been having for a month straight. Can barely lift my head vomit all the time etc. well Tuesday I went to be seen and they did absolutely nothing!!! They said I didn’t need catscan and told me to follow up with a neurologist. Well I went to call the neurologist and now they can only see me if I get a catscan from the hospital. So now I am sitting in the waiting room for the second time going on 4 hours now to get this cat scan they failed to do on Tuesday and now I have to pay for two hospital visits!!! All I have to say is I will never step foot in this place again and the nurses and reception desk lady all had horrible attitudes. Saying it wasn’t there fault!!!

I have been here for about 2 hours and when I was asked for my information and the reason why I was here, I told the reason and was instantly told that I’m not going to find any answers by anyone. I’m in pain on the edge of crying and I can’t be helped. Pretty much just got told to go home and deal with it on my own. I’m so scared that something might be wrong with me, but I’m automatically denied with any answer.

Very kind staff and nice hospital, treated my daughter well after an ankle injury. The only thing that worried me was the size of their emergency entrance. It was very small, if multiple people needed to get through during an emergency, I was be hesitant to say that it would be easy.

Terrible. The only reason to come here is if you want comic release not health care. My mother-in-law could have gotten a free hip replacement. The doctor didn’t check her name…
