We are so very sad to see this great legacy close. For years we could always depend on excellent service and excellent food. We were told that the landlord raised the rent so much, that the owners decided to close. I want to thank all the servers especially Helen, who was always there. The legacy will live on, forever in our hearts, and our tummies!

Came here the first time for their inexpensive AYCE brunch. Happened to be the first few customers right at opening, so the food was fresh and plenty. Tried a little bit of everything and there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. I would definitely go back if it were closer to my home. Total for three peeps with a beer and tip was $ 32. I would really give this a 4.25 but that’s not possible now is it Unilocal

Usually good place to eat, good food good service. Tonight no service no one waited on us even after we said something, the owner kept saying she is coming even as we walked out the door, 6 of us. He lost a $ 100.00 tonight.

Knowing there are not many Chinese restaurants around that aren’t take out, we wanted to try this. Everything I had was delicious: the wonton soup, the moo goo gai pan, and the egg roll. Like other reviewers noted, the wait staff is not Chinese nor are they really friendly so it was a subdued experience which I didn’t mind. The food was so good I didn’t really care. Would recommend.

This place is great! The food is very good. It is also reasonable. They deliver. They have a great lunch Buffett. We are in desperate need of more restaurants like these in Naples. Not everyone that lives in Naples is a millionaire, or on vacation, so is fantastic to have a reasonably priced restaurant. Love it, love it.

We ordered take out on Saturday the 18th at 6:30. My 9 year old son ate the ribs from there and a few hours later had severe food poison from them. I called to speak to the manger to let them know that something was wrong with them so no one else was served them, the lady on the phone told me everything was fresh and her manager was not available to speak. NEVERAGAINWILLORDERFROMTHEM!

We have been there many times and the noon buffet was usually quite good. But todays visit was a disaster. There were no soup plates and it took 10 minutes to get plates. Both the General Tsao Chicken and chicken nuggets were almost gone, cold and t, and the fried rice was lumpy. They were out of egg rolls as well. The person in charge said that they were very busy even though there were empty tables. My wife was told the person in charge was busy in the kitchen. My wife was told to go in the kitchen to talk to her.

I’ve eaten here several times over the past two years and noticed they have the same items on their very small buffet each time. Variety is not this restaurant’s strong point. Often they are out of a particular item and one must wait until more food is prepared. Expediency is not this restaurant’s strong point. Perhaps I won’t return again unless I need to satisfy a Chinese food jones AND I’m in the immediate vicinity. Bottom line: Not bad but no reason to return.

Quiet, good food, and not bad pricing. Ordered from here and can’t complain about anything. The inside looks great to dine and haven’t had a problem with the food or people. Presentation of food could look better.

Chow shrimp are some of the highlights the buffet lots of fresh chicken and vegetables, me fun, dumplings and other dishes Monday through Friday only

Getting take out and eating at the restaurant for like 18 years. I find the food excellent at a fair price. The 3 combo’s I usually get(1 only): Shrimp and lobster sauce House sweet and sour pork Pork egg foo young I gave it 4 stars because of the wait staff… all of them. They seem like they carry the burden of the world on their shoulders. Although they are efficient and business like they NEVER smile or are the least bit hospitable. You kind of get the feeling you’re in Mao Zedong’s China and you forgot to wear your uniform.

My wife and I both like the Chinese food here as do our friends who recommended the place. It may not be «fine dining» but worth the stop to try it if you get that Chinese«yen»(pun intended).

delicious and cheap food. came here when i was home for thanksgiving with my parents and walked out stuffed. everything from the tea to the fortune cookie is good. delicious springrolls and the chicken is cooked perfectly. tofu was yummy too! service was slow, so we got extra complimentary food! it’s a great spot to stop by on the fly and as the night went on(we came early) it got more and more crowded! overall good chinese food and worth a meal.

This restaurant was due to close at 10 p.m. this Sunday night, we arrived at 9:15 p.m. and were seated, there were 5 adults and a toddler, we had to push a table to a booth to make room for all of us. No employee of the restaurant helped us with this task. The high chair for the toddler is like the ones used at home, not the commercial type, it lacked a tray and the cloth covering was very dirty and old. It was extremely difficult to communicate in English with the Asian older lady behind the counter, she brought menus many of which were dirty and greasy inside and out. Water was brought to the table by a very hurried and curt woman, I believe she was Hispanic. When she took our order she was like a drill sergeant asking us for the menus, no «please pass the menu», it was more like«menu!» and pointing at the menus. She brought two small dishes(free) of appetizers similar to fried wontons but each piece was very small in size. She also brought two bowls of sweet dipping sauce for these appetizers and(this is a first for me!), the sauces were very cold from the refrigerator. When I asked why the sauces were cold, I was told this is how they serve them at this restaurant. The sauces were actually gross because they were very cold, none of us partook of the sauce after the first sampling. I have never been served a sweet sauce at an Asian restaurant which was brought cold straight out of the refrigerator. I ordered egg drop soup, when they brought it to me I thought it was the first half and that later they’d bring me a second half… the bowl was extremely small. We ordered the House Special fried rice, one Chicken with Broccoli and one Mongolian Beef. While the food was enough for the 5 adults, the taste and appearance was only so-so. There was nothing served to us tonight that one could classify as ‘delicious’ or that one would want to order again. The only time the lady behind the counter slowed down and smiled was when she presented us with the bill, I guess she was having sugarplum visions of the tip to come. Our bill, with tip, came to @$ 54.00. RE: Comments made by others. That the restaurant has been there for years doesn’t mean much as far as the quality of the food; as a matter of fact, one person in our group said that a couple of years ago there was an Italian restaurant in that same space. To the reviewer who said«no ambiance», I say Amen! There’s no ambiance or class to this restaurant whatsoever. To the reviewer who wrote«fantastic sauces» I guess he did not receive a refrigerator-cold sauce like we did. And to the Miami reviewer who wrote«This is by far, the best Chinese food we have ever eaten.» I guess she doesn’t eat out often. Dear, I suggest you try Tropical Chinese on Bird Rd. in Miami so you learn what good Chinese food tastes like and what ambience in a Chinese restaurant looks and feels like. My tip to all who plan on eating at this restaurant is to visit once and form your own opinion. We’ll not be returning.

THESERVICE I don’t know what it’s like to eat in at empire china but the delivery service/over the phone service sucks. First this woman had me waiting on the phone for 5 minutes and then asked me to call back. I understand that restaurants get busy so I let it slide and called back; I really wish I hadn’t. The website says that there is a FREE delivery charge for orders above $ 10 but it’s NOTFREEATALL. Also, when I ordered my food they didn’t bother to tell me what my total was or even the estimated time for delivery. They even had the nerve to start an argument with me when I said it was«interesting» that they boasted a FREE delivery charge but that it only accounted for their lack of a service charge. I’ve never heard of a service charge from a chinese-american restaurant but that must be MYFAULT and I must have not paid attention to what I’ve paid at other restaurants because: «most chinese restaurants have a service charge in addition to a delivery charge» –The woman answering phones at Empire China THEFOOD Pretty good… My wife had the chop suey with chicken and I had it with pork. Wouldn’t recommend the one with chicken, as it was very bland. I love steamed dumplings so I had to order those as well. While their portion was generous I was disappointed with the quality.

This restaurant is good if you like regular, Chinese-American classics,(i.e., chicken with broccoli, etc.) What they do, they do competently. However, if you are expecting something more authentic and traditional, like chow fun, dim sum, etc. you are going to be disappointed. They do not offer such dishes. Come with an unadventurous appetite and you will be fine. The place is small and gets crowded quickly.

Took one star away for the service. They were robotic like but with an Mexican accent. Otherwise the food is as good as you will find around these parts. Early bird specials 3−5pm, around $ 7 for soup, appetizer, fried rice, main entrée. More like a typical take out lunch menu. Plenty of seating for groups. Two large rooms, decent chinese décor, but everything still could use some updating, especially the restrooms.

To me, Chinese food is like a hit or a miss. Lately my recent experiences with chinese take out has been bad. not until this place! First off — amazing, juicy egg rolls! Not dry, or overly chewy. Just perfect! Secondly — The rice is so nice & sticky. Thirdly — The chicken actually tastes like chicken! Not like batter, or… something else you can’t identify… CHICKEN! :) I had the crispy almond chicken btw. Very delicious, if you didn’t get that by now. You’ve got to go check out that place, no other chinese place compares.
