I would write this personally to Cloydes but they do not have a website. I don’t want to put it on FB either. My friends ordered steak and it looked delicious. They devoured it. We ordered fish and it was excellent. The service was friendly and very good. However, there were two items I believe need mentioning. First of all, there are many, many good restaurants in Naples. Cloydes can add a vegetable or an additional item instead of just the fish. We split a wedge salad. I am used to wedge salads having onion, bacon, tomatoes, and even eggs on it. I received a wedge with 8 tiny tomato bits and that’s it. I almost sent it back for $ 7.95. We went to Cloydes for dinner because of the bananas foster made tableside. It is served in a small martini glass over ice cream and for three of us, one small banana was used. For 12.99 it could have been a little more generous. I have been to major country clubs in other states, and the most I ever paid was $ 9.99. If you are going to charge $ 13.00, make it spectacular. With the non-existent side dishes, Cloydes is overpriced.

Ok, the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that they deserve at least a –1 star for exhibiting a behavior that I loath in food/beverage service … when the server grips your freshly filled drinking glass from the rim! I ordered 2 separate(cold) drinks and both times, waiter’s fingers were gripping the rim where ya put your mouth to drink. I worked in restaurants growing up and that’s one of the first things I learned as a server — to handle the glass at the bottom so as not to spread your finger germs where your guests’ pallets will drink. Now that that’s out of the way … I really liked this restaurant. It is off the beaten path from 5th Ave, in East Naples, just past Bayshore Drive heading toward Marco. The prices are a bit high, but the atmosphere is very quaint, romantic and cozy. The brick interior was dimly lit(we arrived at 9:15pm) and clean. We ordered the french opinion soup as we sat down. Win! I am a french onion soup connoisseur and they do it right! topped w/a thick bed of melted, burnt-ish cheese and the broth was savory. The 2 of us also shared a meal of grilled salmon w side caesar salad, asked for a topping of anchovy fillets and a side of mashed potatoes. We practically licked the plate. The menu had other enticing items such as several steaks, which we will order next time. We had no room for dessert but there were several nice selections. Nice place for a classy date in East Naples. If staff from the restaurant read this — please — be mindful of the faux pas that is handling your guest’s drinking glass at the rim. Yuk. Good thing your food and atmosphere were a win.

Cloyde’s is a hidden gem on the East Trail, close to the CC Courthouse. the Glades, Lely Resort, Treviso Bay TPC and Isles of Collier. Cloyde is the best. A family run business with over 30 years restaurant experience at his various restaurants in Naples. Steaks and Prime Rib are excellent. Giant shrimp in the Shrimp Cocktail. Banana’s Foster and Cesar Salad prepared tableside. Wine and beer bar. A lighter menu available at the bar. Open every day but Sunday and they accept reservations. We stop in at least once or twice a week. You will make a return visit, once you give it a try.

So happy to find Cloyde’s /Pâté’s again. Dinner was delicious, we had the Chicken Dorothea, comfort food at its finest. Service was wonderful, all of the staff extremely friendly and courteous. Prices very reasonable for quantity and quality of the food and service. Can’t wait to return again to try the«sizzling» table side steaks or prime rib!

Truly a disappointment. Newest restaurant in this east trail location. Lured by the reputation of the former Cloyds, we gave this a try. They are priced like a prime steakhouse — but without being able to back that up. $ 31 for a 12 oz prime rib– $ 27 for a petite filet. All ala carte. Cesar salad(extra) watery and anemic with one anchovy draped over it. My husband’s water glass had debris and a hair in it. Beer and wine only. Single CD disc player, playing the same disc over and over. Mismatched dinner plates and not as much as a sprig of garnish. Cafeteria silverware and condiments serves in small plastic cups. Absolutely nothing upscale but the price,
