Oh, my gosh, these people are incredibly GOOD! My *previous* small engine repair place in Carol Stream(not naming names… ;-}) wanted $ 25 up front, and they weren’t even going to LOOK at it for a week. I retrieved my trimmer and brought it to Naperville Rental at 1:00PM; they called me by 2:30PM __on the same day__, telling me it was fixed & ready for pickup! Other positive points: — Much closer to me, in northeast Naperville — Very nice young lady wrote up my work order, took literally 2 minutes — Quoted 1 – 3 days turnaround; talk about *fast*! — Extremely reasonable repair rates I’ve been to other places with horrible attitudes, outrageous prices, and lengthy delays. Naperville Rental is the exact opposite! :-D

Dropped off our walk-behind lawnmower at 9:30 in the morning for repair because the engine wasn’t turning over at all. Tyler was lovely — he helped get the mower out of the car and told me they would call if there was going to be any big repairs BEFORE they commenced fixing. Got a phone call from Anthony at 2:30 that afternoon telling me he cleaned out the carborater and it was ready to pick up! Very affordable, fantastic, fast service — won’t go anywhere else.

This place has been around forever, and was long ago established as the go to rental shop for many Napervillians. Ownership has changed over the years, and I think the focus has shifted somewhat from tools to party needs. I recently rented some tables, table clothes, and chairs for my daughter’s birthday party, and I was somewhat disappointed. First, the tables and chairs were covered with a thick layer of dust. I had to clean them thoroughly before I would even think about bringing them in the house. When I phoned the manager, he said that yes, they get dusty while sitting in the warehouse. That’s all, no remedy was offered. Also, several of the chairs were missing feet, and the tables had staples(from a previous use) embedded in the tops, which interfered with the way the linen table clothes draped. If you need a small engine serviced, however, there is none better than their man Anthony. He is truly a master of all things internal combustion, and his prices are extremely reasonable. Also, you won’t wait around, while the growing season disappears, for your repair to be completed. He gets them in and gets them out fast!
