Have been having Betsy style my hair for YEARS. She is great! Eva is a phenomenal aesthetist too.

Steve is the best. I’ve been going to him for over a year — first man to ever do my hair — and he’s just the greatest. He listens to everything you tell him and I’ve never left unhappy (i get highlights and lowlights). I used to come all the way from DeKalb and now I drive from Schaumburg cause I just love Steve.

I was looking for a new salon and colorist close to home and after reading Unilocal reviews, I chose Innovations. The salon is clean and nice looking. The stations are close together and there are no dividers between them, which I didn’t really care for. The salon offers their customers coffee or tea. I had a cup of coffee which was cool as it was 1:30pm and probably wasn’t made since the morning. The colorist I chose was Lisa based upon reviews. She has been doing hair for 30 years and I felt very comfortable with her. Lisa is one of the higher priced staff but worth it because knows her trade. As I understand it, pricing is based on expertise and experience. Lisa is very friendly and gave me advice on products and the color she chose for me. Innovations uses Redken products, and Lisa did a great job matching my color from my previous salon which used Aveda products. I walked away very satisfied and happy I chose Lisa as my colorist. I just wish there was more privacy between stations at this salon.

I love Innovations. Lisa is the best and the only one I will let cut & color my hair. Everyone there is very friendly and accomodating.

I just came back from my appointment as a first time customer. Jackie did my hair and she did a nice job of a mild ombré and talked me out of bleaching my hair platinum blonde which I appreciate.
I have never been to a salon for hair before and although this was a nice salon, I give this salon 3 stars for the price. While I understand other places can be more expensive, the website said for a full foil, which I had, it would be a starting price of $ 57. When I called for the appointment I am almost positive I said I wanted to leave with wet hair and not pay 20 more dollars to get it styled, but it happened anyways. Even with the coupon I used for $ 20 off $ 55 or more my bill was $ 93. I didn’t know it would be double the price of the website until I was at the counter and couldn’t do anything about it.
I wish the salon was more upfront with pricing. When I called about the bill after getting home they said that ‘the price varies based on stylist’ which I think is unfair since I was assigned a stylist. I like the work they did but in the future I’m going to do my hair myself and save myself the hidden fees.

Katie did an awesome job on my hair! I came in with a chemical hair cut (damaged, brittle hair), so she touched up my outgrowth and gave me lots of layers to blend in the damage I’ve done! The owner is very friendly, and took the time to talk with individual clients on what we were looking for during our experience which is huge! I love that he actually cared and wanted to know each clients expectations! $ 20 off your first visit on a $ 55 service! Plus referrals, will also give you 20 off! Definitely, found a perfect salon that works for me!

My 7 bridesmaids, mother of the groom and I got my hair done at Innovations for my wedding. The salon was accommodating in terms of adjusting reservations, placing bridesmaids with stylists who fit their personality and hair type and making us feel welcome on the day of the wedding. They set up a table for us to have breakfast/​mimosas while we were getting our hair done and were able to have all 9 of us get our hair done at the same time, which made the process a breeze. Betsy did my hair and did an amazing job – I got compliments all evening and it turned out exactly how I wanted. All of the girls’ hair stood up to August-​humidity/​wind/​dancing/​bridesmaid-​ing and seemed to like how their hair turned out. Thank you for accommodating such a large group and for making our wedding hair experience so smooth and seamless!

Below average haircut. Not going back there. I am sure they have good hair stylist, but mine wasn’t good. Going back to another salon to have my hair fixed.

LOVED! Steve SAVED me from my hair nightmare. I used an amazing, high end brand Kerastase and loved it, yeay! But had a bad allergic reaction, boo! So i was searching for my new brand I could love just as much. I exhausted myself with bad recommendations and returns from other salons. My hair felt like straw and I was getting fed up with getting let down. Then I called Steve, at Innovations, on a search for an expert who could inform me of REDKEN. I loved him! So informative and asked me tons of questions. I ran over to see him after hanging up the phone. He did what no other salon did, he used the product on me right away! DUH! He washed my hair and showed me product differences and talked with me. I fell in love with the product! Then he did the smartest thing, would not let me buy it! I know, right! He wanted me to be sure so we would’nt waste anything (which I completely understand), plus make the extra trip back if I didn’t like it after a couple days. Well this clever guy has now made me so excited to come in on Tuesday to purchase! He also recommended a CHEM SHOT for my healing hair. Going to the salon is fun again people! It’s like an event now! The picking up of my long awaited brand I love AND a treatment to hydrate my hair! Free consultation and fair priced product/​treatments. HELLO HAPPY!

Innovations has a diverse staff so no matter what your age you don’t feel out of place or condescended to. Steve does my hair and I love it every time I walk of of there.

Jeanette has been doing my hair for over a decade now. She saved my hair when I went box dye red and tried to go back blonde myself. She always gives AMAZING hair cuts. I went to every dance in high school (except maybe 1) and she did gorgeous updo’s every time! Love her!

While there have been a ton of new hair cuttery locations open up over the last couple of years this place remains consistent in the way they treat their customers and the product they deliver. Everyone has always been very friendly and never have felt that my business was not appreciated. If you are looking for a home Salon, this would be one you should try out. Not in trendy downtown where you have to fight for parking or walk for miles, but the service is trendy and you will enjoy the customer satisfaction. Price fair for market.

I absolutely love Innovations Salon! I’ve been coming here to get my hair done since elementary school! I always have a great experience — the staff is very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere.
Wendy is my stylist and she is amazing! I have never walked out without being completely satisfied. They also sell great products like Moroccan Oil and OPI. I recommend the conditioning treatments — they make a huge difference, especially in the winter!
My only complaint is that the lighting is fluorescent and pretty harsh, sometimes it makes the color look different than in natural light.

Innovations is a great salon that offers many fabulous services. Dan Rubino has been cutting my hair since I was in high school! Everyone is nice.

I used to go to Innovations when I lived in Naperville. They always did a nice job cutting my hair. They were able to help me in a pinch when I needed my crappy wedding updo (given to me by another salon) fixed emergency-​style. Hair looked much better, and I was a much calmer bride when I left.
