Take A Break

We used Take a Break’s dog sitting services while visiting Napa. We were with our dog the entire trip, however, we had the wonderful opportunity of dining at The French Laundry, so we needed a sitter for this one very special night.
Our dog is a rescue so he is very needy. We were a little concerned that it would be difficult to watch our 70lb needy 2.5 year old, but Vicki did a great job keeping him company. She arrived right on time at our hotel (Vintage Inn) and was very firm yet caring with our guy. He has a bit of a jumping problem (he just loves people), but Vicki was able to quickly calm him down. We didn’t realize how long dinner would take, but halfway through, we realized we would be at least an hour later. We called Vicki and left her a message and she responded right away with a text message letting us know it was okay and to take our time. We really appreciated that she could stay longer to let us enjoy our special dinner. When we got back to the hotel, our dog was happy to see us but also sad to see Vicki go.
Corresponding with Vicki prior to the service was very easy via phone and email. Her rates are very reasonable and she knows the Napa area very well. We will definitely be contacting her to watch our pup again next time we are up there. I highly recommend her dog sitting services.
