Went here for my annual blood test last on 1÷28÷15. I had an appointment, but still waited about 15 minutes when I arrived.(Whatever, it happens.) The one-star is for the phlebotomist who got distracted DURING the blood draw and allowed the needle to slip out. Blood was literally spurting from arm.(Luckily I’m not squeamish around blood.) I had to point out to her what was happening. She then had to reinsert the needle to the bloody area. I ended up with a week long bruise, and permanent blood stains on my shirt and the jacket that was sitting in my lap. No apology at all. I was pretty chill about it, but she definitely should have been mortified to have the needle slip out without even noticing. Her total lack of reaction or apology makes me think it might happen to her pretty frequently. I have had regular blood tests for years without incident, and that is definitely not normal. It’s possible they may have improved in the meantime, but the disaster cost me two pieces of clothing. Also, I know more than one person who would have fainted if that had happened to them, so if you are at all squeamish, pick a different Quest location.

The techs that work here are good and in my experience consistent, the place is clean and they move through patients pretty quickly. I took off one star because the waiting room is tiny and crowded, and for some reason people insist on bringing there 3 or 4 children to a place that seats 5 people, so be forewarned the worst part of the experience here will be ignorant and irresponsible fellow patients.

I was in and out in about five minutes this morning. The lab tech,(female, long red hair), was very fast, and I didn’t feel a thing!

Had blood work orders that were specific to my diagnosis. The lab tech«Oscar» was fantastic. He worked on my orders for two days to make sure they were correct. I’m normally a very difficult stick. Oscar was a pro. He got it the first attempt and I didn’t feel a thing.

The Quest office on Pear Tree is small but adequate. Clean, nice area and friendly staff. I didn’t have an appointment, but was seen quickly even though there were others waiting. The staff rotated between the front reception desk and the lab area which seemed to expedite service. My blood was drawn with no fuss, and I was out in less than half an hour. They also verified that the correct name was on the vials before submitting. Nicely done.

When I need my blood drawn, this is where I’m told to go. Having been there three times I can now make my judgment. First, if what you have to get done needs to be done same day, you better get there before 4pm. Second, just pay attention to WHEN you need your work done, if you have to have it redone the next day then again you might want to get there before 4pm. Even though the hours say they’re open till 5… They will lock the doors at 415 or so and only take those who are waiting inside. So this is a tiny little place. 5 chairs to sit in as you wait. 2 chairs for blood drawing and a bathroom with lots of instructions for urine collection. The staff is completely hit and miss. One girl wasn’t very kind at all. And she fished for veins in both my arms asking«oh, does that hurt?» no hunny, I just like to grimace as though I’m in pain… I think her name was Liz. But the reason I give it 3 stars and not 2 is because of Rebecca. She did a wonderful job talking to me as she drew about 10 vials, because she knew I have a tendency to faint. She got the vein on the first try and I left feeling good. If not for Rebecca I would seriously reconsider coming here.
