NorCal Swim Shop

I usually don’t care too much about writing reviews, as a matter of fact, I’m the type of person who doesn’t even like doing surveys. It seems the more I surf the net the more likely I am going to come across a survey for a bank, a grocery store or even a department store most often I just say no and go on with my day.
Now, the reason I’m doing this review is because I really like Norcal Swim Shop. Several months ago, I joined a gym that has a swimming pool and I love to swim; shortly after joining, I decided to buy swimming equipment. Suddenly, I realized «I can’t just buy online because I don’t even know if the equipment will fit me.
I shopped around on line for a store near me; unfortunately, most of the stores did not have the specific quality items that I wanted and I choose to find a specialty store one that sells only swim wear and equipment and sure enough I found it, Norcal Swim Shop. Yes, I know it is around forty miles from my home but I felt it would be worth it.
I drove there, it was hard to find as the shop is located on 2^nd street in Napa and is easy to miss if you are not looking in the right direction. Anyway, I found their shop, went in, a salesman was there to help me pick and chose what I wanted, he let me try on everything, gave me good advice and once I had what I wanted I purchased them without any doubt that I had made the right decision; I purchased one Speedo Goggles, One set of Arene webbed gloves, a Speedo Snorkel and Zoomer fins.
One week passed, I had swam in the pool at the gym on three different occasions and the fins that I had bought from Norcal Swim shop started to get hairline cracks in the same spot on both fins. I called in to one of the saleswomen and explained my situation that I wanted to come back and exchange these fins for something else that I had tried before or possibly some other option. Sure enough they went out of their way to help me, they placed the orders; because some of the fins were on back-​order, I had to wait several weeks; when they arrived, they contacted me, I went in, tried the new fins on, liked them, returned and exchanged the original fins for the new ones and I am very happy now; these new fins are absolutely perfect, they are the Speedo Short-​Blade Training Fins. In addition, the other items that I bought previously are excellent too, they work great and are exactly what I need.
Despite the distance, I will continue to go to Norcal Swim Shop because I believe in them, they have what I want and they are true to their word.

Been a customer for ten years and ordered a tech suit for one of my sons. Ordered it ten days before we were departing for a travel meet. They didn’t have it in stock and had to order it. Time for departure was getting close and I called the shop to express my concern. They expected to get it two days before our departure and they upgraded the shipping to priority one day mail. The suit arrived as hoped. Appreciate the service.

Went in for some goggles for swimming laps. They were very helpful and didn’t try to overly complicate things. They let me try on a few pair and explained the benefits. Very happy with the customer service.

My daughter’s swim team gets all of their gear here. I came out here because I opted to pick up her team suit rather than pay the $ 12 in shipping. I know I probably burned that much in gas coming out from Vacaville, but it’s Napa, and the husband and I use any excuse to visit the area, especially when it means we can grab food after. :p
Google maps did a great job getting me here because I didn’t get lost. It’s off a road that leads to a few businesses, looks like where you’d expect a bunch of auto mechanic garages. Parking is small, but it is in a decent area where it wouldn’t be hard to find a spot if they were to ever have a team fitting here.
Craig, the owner, awesome guy. Helped me with my order and with a couple other things that my daughter asked me to pick up, but had no idea what I was talking about. He was patient and knew exactly what it was she wanted without her being there to describe it.

I was in need of some of those new fangled face mask style self sealing swimming goggles that are all the RAGE in triathalons now and NO Big 5 didn’t have them, so I used my WOM network-​Word OF Mouth and WaLa! NorCal had e’m in tropical blue too! and I picked up a often required swim cap in the olympic version with the grand old stars & stripes on it for around a buck! Killerdiller deal! They have everyswimmer’s need fed here, water polo, from kiddies stuff to Masters competitive swimmer gear they have it all here! Their customer service peps were not Tools or daytime drools, but experts on oceans and pools! With fitting rooms and a large assortment of sizes, it’s a one stop shop for your watery needs. Note: they are off the beaten path so goggle map the location to arrive at thier desitnation! Now Go Get WET!
