Napa Sonoma Wine Tasting Driver

My wife and I have used this service a few times while in and around the Napa and Sonoma areas. On our recent trip, we had the pleasure of having Jeff as our driver and he was fantastic. Extremely professional, showed up on time, and was a great driver. He had a great sense of when to partake in our conversations and when to let us do our own thing, which is a really hard skill. Our entire group loved him and couldn’t ask for anything more. The driver ends up being a big part of your day and having someone as pleasant as Jeff around was fantastic. When we go back, we will definitely request him again! Plus, we took one of his recommendations for a winery, and that ended up being one of our favorite places!

Excellent communication, professional driver arrived on time. I will absolutely use the next time I need a service to take our group from one winery to the next.

My wife and I were in Napa Valley on 11÷23÷15 in our RV so we needed a car and driver to explore. Our experience was top notch from first making the reservations with Arthur, to having a wonderful and relaxed time with Assad in his Lincoln Town car. Assad really knows the valley well. He took us to some of the best small wineries we could have hoped for (not the main stream stuff). We had no plans of our own on what to see so we relied on him to figure out where to visit based on what we told him we liked. Assad was professional yet personable. He was also flexible and accommodated our changing minds. He even let us bring our little dog along for the ride! If we ever visit Napa Valley again Napa Sonoma Wine Tasting Driver will be our first call and we’ll ask for Assad!

Jill was our driver and she was excellent! Very professional and friendly! Her car was clean, her driving was great, and her attentiveness to my party of 3 people was terrific. I would use this service again for sure and would request Jill again.

Our driver was excellent. He was a safe and courteous driver and had expert knowledge of the area. He went out of his way to make our experience fantastic such as creating a itinerary of dog-​friendly wineries, making reservations in advance for us and even walking and playing with our dogs while we tasted! If you are planning on going wine tasting in this area, it is an absolute must to book this service. That being said, this company was fast, efficient and professional and the value was extremely worth it.
We chose the private car service as opposed to the chauffeur service where the driver drives your own car, as it seemed like a hassle to have to make an extra stop at the Avis center just to get approval. I suppose if you have your own private car with adequate personal auto insurance, this probably isn’t an issue and would save you a little money. Our driver, Philip, was promptly on time and picked us up in a comfortable SUV. He took a few minutes to go over the game plan and made sure we were comfortable with it and we were on our way. We took our time all day and changed up the plan when needed, without any issue. We saw 3 wineries, the Russian River Brewing Company, and stopped for lunch, taking about 4 – 5 hours total. We could have rushed around and tasted more wine, but thats not what this trip was about and Philip recognized early on in the trip what we were in to. He made recommendations that suited our needs and we enjoyed the hell out of some good wine, beautiful vineyards and gardens, and the little buzz that is allowed when someone else is driving you around!
For 3 people on a 5 hour trip I payed about $ 380 including tip. Comparably, the wine trolley was only like $ 50 less total and was not private nor did you have any choice in where you went. This is entirely worth it and I will absolutely book this service again when I’m here in the future.

This was a great experience. It was amazing to be able to sit back and have a private driver to all the wineries with our own itinerary. Our driver was professional and knowledgeable and also made some great recommendations for restaurants a long the way and took some pictures for us. I highly recommend!

I called Champie to make sure my reservation request had gone through and also asked him many questions about wineries and where to picnic. He made many wonderful suggestions and was very friendly. We had Michele as our driver this past Friday, she emailed me ahead of time to introduce herself. She was awesome! We had two tastings already scheduled that morning, she got us to those on time, she also picked up our lunch while we were in a tasting. After our scheduled tastings she took us to some «hidden gems» that were absolutely amazing! She was full of knowledge and super friendly. We felt safe with her driving us around. After the wineries closed we wanted to stay in Healdsburg to walk around before our dinner reservation, she had no problem dropping us off and taking our car to the hotel for us. We would highly recommend NSWTD.

We did a day of wine tasting last Friday (8-​14-​2015) with Jeff as our driver. The communication before was very good and prompt. Jeff was very professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. We had a great day! I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a driver for the day in Napa. Great experience overall!

Erik was our driver he was great. Knew his way around the valley, offered tips on what order to hit the wineries in order to avoid traffic and crowds. Appointment making was a breeze 1 form on the web site a trip to PayPal and I was booked. I would highly recommend their service for transportation while wine tasting, it is exceptional at the fraction of the price of a car or limo.

Excellent service!!! Michael was a true professional. He was prepared, flexible, and friendly. He even brought along a cooler with water for all of us. As someone who doesn’t like anybody else to drive my car, Michael gained my confidence immediately. Safe, reliable, reasonable prices… we will definitely use this service (and Michael) again.

We had Kevin as our driver this past weekend for my 30^th birthday, and it was exactly what we needed to fully enjoy our time in Napa! He was right on time, helped us make a plan for the day, and was so friendly and informative.
It made a HUGE difference to just be able to relax and have someone familiar with the area be in charge of getting us from one place to the next, help gauge our time /​suggest places to go, and give us door-​to-​door service from one winery to the next. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves and try all the wines without worrying. And the price is incredibly reasonable. Can’t recommend this enough!

I was tempted to give this place 4 stars. Only because everytime I see a 5 star review I assume it’s someone connected to the company. But I am not affiliated with this company in anyway. That said, this was the ideal of a day in Napa. We went at our own pace, the wineries we wanted to go to, and on-​top of everything, we got to be tipsy in the back seat while a driver took care of the rest. Our driver, Mike, was nice and courteous, offering to get any door and offering us chilled bottle water at every stop. If you’re thinking of taking a wine tour in Napa, design your own and call this place to make it happen.

The company had a mix up and reserved the wrong date for service. Took zero accountability. Their customer service and communication were very poor and their attitude was additionally lackluster. They were kind enough to refund our deposit, but we still ate the additional insurance costs — not to mention royally screwing up our morning. It was a huge bummer.
Lots of companies to choose in Napa. I don’t suggest you choose this one.

After reading some reviews, I ended up with Champie. My expectations were high, and he didn’t disappoint me! We talked through e-​mail all the time (I live in Brazil), and he did the itinerary for us, considering the information I have given to him before…
On our tour day, David was there to pick us up! What a wonderful man he is! He was making all the efforts for us to have a perfect day… and we did! It was the best day of our trip, definitely!
He brought our lunch, told us some very good jokes, told us some stories about Napa Valley, talked to everyone on the wineries we’ve visited… He is amazing! Such a great guy — we were very pleased to have him as our driver. At the end of our day, he even drove us to a sixth winery! And we loved it!
Champie did an excellent job on our itineray and we are very glad to have chosen him for our Napa day. I’m sure there is no better choice for a driver than Champie’s.
(If you think a private driver is too much for your trip budget, think again: they charge only USD 25/​hour on a weekday and the itinerary is USD 50… With more than 800 wineries in the area, I’d rather pay a specialist to do that for me!)

We had a girls weekend in Napa and decided to hire a driver one day for wine tasting. I did some research and NSWTD was the best price compared to others and based on all of the positive reviews, I decided to book with them. I’m so glad I did and wish we booked them for two days!
Champie was very responsive and helpful in regards to my questions/​concerns. We were looking for places to have a picnic lunch, and he gave us great recommendations to pick up food and wineries that best suited our needs. One of the best wineries on our trip was one of the places he recommended, so thank you Champie :)
Our driver John K. showed up on time and was incredibly professional. He was so nice and very knowledgeable to the area. We were running behind on one of our scheduled appointments and as I’m about to call the winery, John tells me he already took care of it! I highly recommend him as your driver and plan to use them again next time I’m in Napa.

I had a great time using the Napa Sonoma Wine Tasting Driver service. I went to Napa with a group of 4 friends from college, and we wanted to have a safe and reliable DD. I looked into many different Napa Driving services, and eventually decided to choose NSWTD.
Champie was very quick to respond to my request, and even called/​texted me within a couple hours, when I had forgotten to give him the date/​time of our trip.
Our driver Mike D. was extremely courteous and professional. He drove very safely, opened the doors for us, and made sure that all of us were having a great time.
I highly recommend the NSWTD service, and will definitely use it next time I go to Napa!
