Enjoy Napa Valley Kayak Rentals and Tours

Justin simply does a great tour. It’s easy to park, simple to learn, and just fun. You spend 2 hrs on a scenic river learning about history and taking in the native wildlife. It’s great for beginners and experienced kayakers. Its just a great way to spend some time outdoors in Napa.

Justin rocks it! — Not the boat… just a great tour. Informative, humorous, interesting and plenty of wildlife sightings right in town. Well worth it. He uses great little Sea Dolphin that are easy to paddle and maneuver — much better than sit on tops that are tipsy and much wetter — nice to get out with a dry butt!

This is a fantastic adventure! Justin is awesome. You can book online and kayak along the river for about two hours. Justin also gives you a detailed and interesting history on Napa. So, if you are looking to do something fun, outdoors and learn a little bit about Napa, then definitely check out this kayak trip!

My boyfriend and I had such a great time on this tour. We scheduled our trip on a cold, rainy winter day and we were the only ones there and Justin still met us with enthusiasm. He shared fun stories about the history of Napa, which held my attention the whole time even though I’m not a huge history buff. He left some time at the end to kayak back quietly and just enjoy the beauty of the river as well. I would definitely recommend this tour, and I can’t wait to try his bike tour!

We decided to do a kayak tour for my moms birthday. It was raining and wet but we ventured out anyways. We are so glad we did! Justin our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. He really knows the history of Napa! If you think you can’t kayak think again and go for it! You will love it!

Justin was a friendly, fun, knowledgeable guide who manages to guide, teach, entertain, and just let you relax and enjoy the river all at once. This is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Highly recommended!

Other reviewers told you how awesome Justin is as a tour leader. Don’t worry you’ll be assigned a different tour leader, since Justin is the sole owner/​operator. I am 57 and in chronic pain after multiple spine, shoulder, and wrist surgeries, and my daughter is physically weak. We have never kayaked and I feared we’d flip the kayak or simply be unable to keep up. As I tried anxiously to plan a Napa Valley birthday weekend with my daughter, Justin not only returned my several calls promptly and answered my many questions, but provided what I’d term «expert» reassurance! As the date of our trip neared, I began to panic, (even about the drive to Napa), and called Justin again. He was not only helpful and sensitive to my fears, but bent over backward in flexibility to meet my needs.
The actual kayaking was easy and fun! We only needed a few tips, which Justin provided. As we glided down the calm river, Justin was responsive to the desires of the group, interesting, and humorous. Our group was particularly intrigued by the more morose tales of Napa history. The pace was perfect and all of us made it through just fine. My arms weren’t even sore later on! As I understand, Enjoy Napa Valley does ONLY kayak rentals and tours at this time. Through their tour, I regained a measure of confidence in my ability to enjoy nature adventures when I had thought those days were over for me! I am deeply grateful and most highly recommend this tour. If you are experienced and really want a workout, I suggest this company’s kayak rentals. Justin is an exceedingly rare owner/​operator who treats everyone he meets with such warmth that you’ll feel like an old friend! THANK YOU JUSTIN!

My husband and I found about Enjoy Napa while browsing Groupon and I am so lucky to have stumbled upon such a great company. Justin is a great communicator and really goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time with him on the river. He is incredibly easy to talk to and ask questions as we tells you all about the local wildlife and the great history of Napa and Sonoma. We learned so much on such a quick tour, plus we got some great exercise in too! I can’t wait to get back on Napa river with Justin again and will be encouraging all of my friends and family to give it a try as well.

That was fun! When I arrived the guide had us sign liability waivers, had our kayaks ready and got to know our names. He also wanted to know where we were from so that he could have us join in on the tour if we knew anything about Napa. The guide was very friendly and informative about the River and the area! He also had fun history stories about haunted buildings and the discovery of gold in CA. Kayaking with him was also a nice journey down the river and a great workout. My only complaint is that we could have gone farther but thats because I enjoyed it. My favorite part was when he took a picture for me and when we all got quiet; he let us have about 10 – 15 minutes to ourselves to explore the river and sit with nature. That was fun and I recommend it!

My wife and I did the two hour (morning) Napa River History Kayak Tour with Justin. Let me just say Justin is a great guide!
First he did his best to learn everyone’s name and place they are from so he could personalize the tour for everyone. This makes the tour more interesting I thought.
Second, he knows the local wildlife and will be pointing the out the plants, birds, and mammals (we saw three sea otters) along the way and telling you facts and/​or stories about each.
Third and most importantly he is local from Napa and REALLY knows the history of this area and he makes learning about it (via a relaxing paddle on the river) fun. I’m sure everyone on our tour learned some really interesting facts about Napa that we hadn’t heard of before.
The trip was so enjoyable the two hours went by fast and we both felt it ended too soon. Perhaps he should consider longer tours if possible. I would definitely recommend Justin’s Napa River History Kayak tour for anyone looking to learn about Napa and the local history and wildlife.

Justin is great! We got a fantastic deal for the four of us. Two with no experience kayaking, two with. It was an easy experience. Justin was on time, prepared, energetic and just a great, fun tour guide. We did the historical tour and it was well worth it!

What fun! My 16 year old nephew and I did the kayak tour with Justin. Justin is amazing! His knowledge of Napa made the excursion interesting and fun. Justin is so friendly and shared many laughs with us. Everyone had a great time and I would not hesitate to book another excursion with him. We are hooked — thanks for the wonderful day Justin!

Justin is a wonderful tour guide (agree w/​Crystal V comments). The historical tour was very interesting. Good exercise too, but not too much for a beginner. Kayaks in good shape.

Justin is amazing! He memorized our whole group’s first names immediately. He has so much energy and kept us interested through out the tour. I wasn’t aware of all the history of the city of Napa. I learned a lot in a short time. Justin was very patient with our whole group. He let us split off and take our time kayaking back. I would definitely recommend this tour for all tourist and locals.

The whole family really enjoyed the friendliness, kindness, and knowledge of our guide, Justin who made it a really fun experience for all. He will tell you about the history of the town, the stories you won’t hear (including the haunted spots!), and also places to eat afterwards!

Omg this was the best experience ever ! Justin was the best! He is a very personable guy and made the whole group feel like a team and was very entertaining. The weather was great, the kayaking was amazing and totally chill down the river. We even saw really cute black Dolphins that were totally majestic. It was an amazing day, I found the deal on Amazon local.
