Wow. I’ve visited twice and had two completely different experiences. Don’t ask for ice water to go because not only will the barista and manager verbally argue about their strict no-buying-large-cups policy but a random customer with too much time on his hands started pointing out the for here water cups I could use to drink from, standing in the store chugging water because the restrictions on which cups they’re allowed to provide are so fair and make sense. I’ve never had this much of a problem ordering coffee. In Texas when the heat index tops 100 most restaurants are happy to offer large cups of water to go(in addition to the over priced coffee I was buying) but I was offered to purchase a small cup of ice for 25 cents OR buy a$ 3 bottle of smart water, but there was NOWAY I was getting a large cup of ice from that barista and manager. I work outside. I dehydrate. I need more than 12 ounces of water at a time, and I don’t want to pay for overpriced smart water. To the staff who did nothing to make me feel like a welcome customer, go back to the basics. Treat other people the way you want to be treated, not as an inconvenience to your day.

I asked for a water. I wasn’t given a cup, so I reached across to grab one after I payed and I was informed that those cups are for coffee only. I was then given what seemed to be a styrofoam shot glass so I could quench my thirst one ounce and a time. Ease up on the cups…

This place is a must! I was so happy to find it when in Nacogdoches for business. Their Jackhammer and their scones are to die for! No other scone comes close after having their blueberry scone!

My husband works in nacogdoches tx quite a bit and on a trip to see him we stopped in. I’m a severe coffee addict lol. It was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had in a long time. Living in Arkansas I now order from their online store just to get their coffee!

Great coffee, great vibes. I had the Colombian roast drip coffee and I loved it, dark and flavorful. Java Jacks is an awesome place to study or just hang out. If I lived in the area this would be my everyday coffee stop.

This is a cool little coffee place, especially if you’re looking for somewhere to study, and have a nice cup of Joe. The coffee was really good, the service was great. Overall it was a great experience This place is very clean. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because I thought the prices were a little high on some of their items. But I do prefer local coffee shops over Starbucks.

Excellent coffee and food! The blueberry scones are to die for! But what makes this place so wonderful and keeps me making daily visits is the cozy atmosphere downstairs perfect for small groups or two people talking while the upstairs open floor is perfect for studying both alone and in bigger groups with outlets and tables aplenty! Plus the staff is AWESOME and super helpful and actually make pretty great friends for those who both come every day or once in a blue moon. They are also the people you see around town, enjoying Nacogdoches and readily responding to the endearing term, «Java Jacks guy/girl!!»

Super cute place. Has drive-thru option, but needed to stretch my legs so I went in. Plenty of tables inside, and awesome roof-top deck area. About 10 or so specialty drinks, in addition to regular options available at java joints. I got the Mounds… Iced. It. Is. Delish!!! Yummy dark chocolate with just the right amount of coconut. Cute paraphernalia to purchase as well!

«Java Jacks?» «Why yes, don’t mind if I do.» This is always my response when someone asks me to join them at Java Jacks. I am a fan from years ago when they were across from SFA. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

Love the lattes and teas! The lattes have a strong, bitter, actual-coffee, espresso flavor that you won’t find at Starbucks. I love this place, but I do have a few complaints. It is sometimes kind of dirty. Iky when there is food involved. And the upstairs is almost always a sauna. I mean, c’mon, with the prices of the tea and coffee they could at least run the AC up there. Otherwise, good stuff.

Literally the best coffee I’ve had, i try something new every time. Crime brûlée, black tie, and vanilla nut(with chocolate added) are all extremely delicious. Customer service is always on point! Love this place!

I come here four, five, six times a week, who is counting. I am always welcomed with smiles and laughs. Everything about this place is the comfort of being exactly where you feel you belong. I like the specialty coffees, smoothes, and am recently attempting the roasted coffee that they roast themselves. The drive thru is always quick and they are always courteous and if you bring your dog, they always get treats & your dog might even end up on their dogsofjavajacks instagram page. This is truly my favorite place in Nacogdoches for coffee, homework, meeting friends, quiet time, you name it!

Nice place close to campus to grab a coffee, dessert or flavored iced coffee. Place used to be a terrible American restaurant 15 yrs ago, glad it’s now a coffee shop. Go up upstairs and sit outside on the patio that faces north on a nice evening and you’ll have a relaxing experience. Although I ordered an iced almond joy coffee and it tasted nothing like the candy bar, still had a great time coming here.

Went to JJ’s several times when I first moved to Nac before my internet was hooked up. Friendly staff, good coffee with interesting brews, good panini sandwiches and a strong wifi signal. Fair prices make JJ’s a great value if you need to use the internet. Always go local when you have a choice!

I love finding great, local coffee places. They always have way better coffee and other specialty drinks and Starbucks is way too crowded if you’re looking for a place to just sit and read or work on your computer. I’ve been to Java Jack’s twice now while visiting Nacogdoches for my husband’s job and usually sit here for most of the afternoon while he’s working. A little pricier than other coffee shops but acceptable considering the quality, service, and free WiFi. There is ample seating downstairs and also a big area upstairs with couches, chairs, tables, and plenty of precious outlets.
