Finding Chrissy’s spot in RI saved me. What? No, really. I was a newbie in the State and have layered hair. Always have. It is no fun seeking a stylist who really knows how to cut such a style. Everyone will claim they can do it but only because they want your business. I have had layered, mid-​length hair for over 2 decades now and I certainly know what works and doesn’t work for me. I bounced from one salon to another, just trying to get it right. I’ve had my share of nightmare cuts (literally left me in tears as I am walking out of the salon). So, when I finally made that drive to North Providence to try Chrissy’s, I had almost given up.
The owner herself, tall and attractive Chrissy Gonsalves, did my hair. She is friendly and sure knows her cuts. She does a modified version of a «C» cut on me. Instantly, I was elated. The litmus test? I have received numerous compliments on my hairstyle. That can only mean that the cut is really good.
So if you are still experimenting and getting disappointed, not to mention getting your hair chopped up in very uneven lengths, say «Enough!» and check Chrissy out. The price is a little on the upper range for me – $ 48 without tip — but getting the look and being on a 5-​week rotation, makes the rate worth it. Her place has been on Mineral Springs for over 15 years — that should speak of reliability — and yet is clean and updated. Ample parking in front of her shop.

Chrissy is an excellent stylist, very reasonably priced, incredibly professional, and very personable. She took my partner and I on very short notice and stayed open late to accommodate us. I would highly recommend her!

Chrissy and Lori were very welcoming and friendly! Chrissy made recommendations for my hair color and Lori knew her stuff. I tried a new hairdo which I would never do without Lori’s idea. I love my new look. Will go again!
