Nova Southeastern University Eye Institute

Went here for an eye exam early on a Saturday morning. Clean but BRIGHT facility. (Walking around with dilated pupils might be a tad rough in there — bring shades.)
For an optical facility, I would have to say that my personal experience was great. My exam started close to the appointment time but I tend to take the first appointment of the day to avoid waiting. The lobby was packed at 8am so I wonder if later appointments can start promptly.
There was a student giving my exam. He was extremely thorough and patient. Nice, friendly and all about me and my two eyes. They take eyesight as well as eye and overall health very seriously at NSU! After my exam, the student brought in his overseer to do a brief follow-​up exam and review information to ensure his findings were correct.
The facility is spic & span clean. Importantly, I felt comfortable that the technology they were using was the latest around. I’ve been to a local yet world-​renowned facility that did not utilize the equipment used at NSU. I felt that said a lot!
All of the staff were very friendly. Check-​in and out was easy.
There’s also an on-​site optical store. Even though I planned to buy off-​site, I got a great deal with my insurance on a pair of very stylish frames and Yaudi was so nice and helpful that I couldn’t resist.
NSU is a little-​known but great option for optical care. They have plenty of appointments available and are conscientious of customers’ time. I liked it and will be using them again in the future.
