Use to come here because the Pizza was OK but the real draw for me was the Garlic Knots. Please, for the love of God, if the new owners are reading PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE call the old owners and get the Garlic Knot recipe! I will be over there in like 5 minutes afterward! Hell, I’ll even leave work to get those Knots!!!

I will«NEVER» go back to this place again! Regardless of what this guy Giovanni says about the previous owners(Which shows you what type of person he is) I would go back in a heartbeat if they came back! I’ve been going to this location for almost 10 years because their pizza was awesome! Well, last night my wife picks up a large pie and a ham/cheese calzone. When she gets home with the goods I grab the box with the calzone in it and head to the recliner to watch some TV and eat. I open the box, unwrapped the foil and said to my wife…“You’ve got to be kidding me!” The calzone consisted of a piece of bread with 6 slices of hame and very minimal cheese. When I say minimal I mean«MINIMAL!» I was beside myself! I really wish I had taken a picture of this disaster to show you how«NOT» to make a calzone. Anyway, I threw my jacket on and headed back to the location to return the calzone. When I got there Giovanni was at the counter. Told him my wife just picked up this calzone and I asked him«What is this?» He said a calzone. I said no its not, it looks like someone slopped together some ham and a little cheese on two slices of bread.(Now comes his attitude) Well thats how we make it! I told him I want a refund! I also stated to him that have been eating italian food for 50 years of my life and this is not a calzone! Along with his attitude he gave me my refund. After the product and attitude I received yesterday I guarantee I will not go back to this place ever again. To many other local pizzerias in the area to have to settle for this one! Here is a tutorial for you!

You’re not going to stay open very long. This is the third time this has happened now. I called to other a large pie and they told me 25 minutes, so my husband shows up after a half hour and the man making the pizza tells him it’s going to be another 10 and he ended up waiting another 15. They gave our pie away. When he finally got home we opened up the pie and it was barely cooked with cheese and sauce dripping off the dough. Then I tried to call and no one picked up the phone for another 10 minutes. This store has changed hands one too many times and the owner doesn’t want to pay anyone to work there so he has his mother and father doing everything. Their Pizza used to be so good! We were waivering as it was hit and miss already and this time it just sealed the deal. Umbertos it is!

Place has fallen off big time over the past year. Change of ownership? Not sure but place was good at one point. Crust thing was good but they should make up their mind. Either be a great pizza place or be a great deli. Concentrate on one thing and make it out of this world. I’ll pass for now until they decide what they are.

pizza crust is great — but totally different than you are used to. the deli is also awesome — try their specialty sandwiches and potato salad! Love this place

Pizzeli’s has something that is hard to find… a truly unique pizza crust. They use corn meal on the bottom to give a very nice crispy crunchy crust. The pizza crust is an average thickness and the toppings are all very good. I’m a big fan of their meatball pizza but it’s the unique crispy crust that keeps me coming back. The deli is nice and clean with a great variety of sandwiches and sides as you would expect in a Long Island deli. The place has some seating inside and a few tables outside. Parking is available in front of the place on the street and behind it in a parking lot. The staff is friendly and the prices are pretty standard. All in all a solid pizzeria and deli.

Edit: This place has changed hands so many times that I can’t even keep count. The food(while consistent) is not as good as it used to be. No longer recommended, and I no longer go here. Pizza crust is fantastic, has a bit of a soft crunch to it, due to the breadcrumb like additions on top of it. Also, the macaroni & cheese pizza was to die for.

As a nyer, i know my pizza! and some of the best pizza ive had comes from here! I live about 45 mins away and I go all the way out to bellemore just for a slice! nothing beats it!

This is a great pizza place/deli. The sandwiches are good, and the pizza is great! If your looking for a different kind of pizza, the crust is very unique. You’ll have to go to find out!

These guys make an awesome roast beef & cheddar melt. They got some good deep dish pizza too.
