I’ve never had a bad haircut, until I went here. I had my haircut with a stylist at Dolce Lusso a couple weeks ago and I hated it then, hate it now. She butchered my hair with all sorts of unevenness and cut it way too short, shorter than what I had asked for, and shorter than what i showed her in the picture. Although she was friendly, the hair stylist did not know how to cut hair. Not only that but she chopped a chunk off my hair on the side that was about 4 — 5 inches shorter than all the other hair on my head, even she realized she had made a big mistake… this was because she didn’t know how to use the thinning shears. You would think that was hair cutting 101 in beauty school. Luckily the staff felt bad for me so another stylist took over and tried to salvage what she had done but this led to her having to cut it even shorter to make up for the uneven cut the original stylist had given me. Three and a half hours later they still charged me, and I tipped the second stylist. What a disaster!!! Cute salon though.

I usually try not to give places a bad review but today it’s needed. I had an appointment today at 1:30. I get a reminder text around 12 for my appointment. Since I live in conway, I left a little early and arrived in the parking lot at 1 and realized I had just missed a call and had a voicemail. It was Dulce Lusso calling to cancel my appointment because my stylist apparently has food poisoning and they wanted to offer me a 2:30 appointment instead. Seeing how I’m 8 months pregnant I have decided not to go in and make a scene but instead leave a bad review. This is terrible management. They should’ve called me MUCH earlier than this. I will not be back.

I’ve been going here off and on for about 5 years! I’ve never had a bad haircut or dye job and they always listen attentively to what I want. If there’s a style I like they’ll give suggestions on how to make it work with my hair. They have slain fine a color correction in me once before and it was worth every penny. I’ve gone to a handful of other places but I always end up back here because i trust them. I was there just a few days ago and Ramona was my stylist and put the prettiest multi colored brunette highlights in my black dyed hair! I just needed something to perk it up. She also gave a great trim without taking off my length as I’ve been growing my hair out a few years now. I will always recommend this place and haven’t met a bad stylist there yet.(They also have great massages, facials, and manicures but that’s a whole other review.) just go and you won’t be disappointed.

I have happily been going to this salon for 3 years. Besides the unusually snobby atmosphere I have for the most part had good experiences. Until a month ago when my usual stylist could not keep our apt due to an extended illness, I had to book with someone else. Our first apt went well, the next one, I asked for darker low lights, she told me she didn’t have time to do that. She quickly covered my roots put a gloss on and put me in the back room to process for over 45 min. I didn’t think my hair would damage since she said it was just a gloss and a darker root color. Well I lost over half of my hair that day. I found out she put a number 11 developer when I usually get a 3, she left it on too long it damaged and destroyed my hair totally. My regular stylist came back looked at my hair pulled the paper work and explained what happened. At least I got answers, I spoke with the manager that day. I was actually nice, I just wanted at least my money back from that day I spent $ 150 to get my hair ruined. She was extremely rude which made the whole situation even worse. She said they could do 1 treatment and I could not get my money back. After talking further after she insulted my intelligence by telling me she cant give me my hair back at least 4 different times. I never asked for that, I never raised my voice, I never spoke ill to her, after all that she agreed to my next service being on them. She should have offered me a keratin treatment at least to help the damage and given me my money back, she should have also been kind. This manager makes the entire salon look bad. She is very rude, very uncaring. My family and friends all go to this salon and have for years. She should have taken that into consideration. My advice don’t risk ruining your hair by going here.

visiting in Myrtle Beach and made a hair appt. Gwen cut my hair and gave me best haircut and styling I’ve ever had. Could not be more satisfied. I didn’t feel I was yet in need of color and she agreed but needed a good cut for my very thinning hair. She, at my urging, suggested a style that would work with my hair.

I am currently new to the area & very picky about my hair color being exactly what I want as well as having the stylist fully understand what it is that I want! I can honestly say that my stylist June listened to exactly what I want with a consultation that lasted almost 30 minutes where she fully explained what it was that she was going to do as well as showed me what color I wanted it to end up being… For a junior stylist she was AMAZING! The best experience I have had at a salon. She nailed it on the head! I absolutely love my hair color it looks exactly like what I wanted and she was able to keep the small details that I have mentioned in account and know that I was very nervous about going to a new place with such high standards! So glad I have found my salon & my stylist!!! Also the customer service and environment is amazing! I’m a stickler about money and for me to just bite the bullet and spend the money, I would consider absolutely worth it for what I got & my overall experience! Also another key point was that I was the main attention of my stylist the entire time instead of her doing two clients at once! They really pay attention and make you their main focus with a ton of education and experience!

Every time I made an appointment here I always waited for at least 10 — 15 minutes for my stylist to be ready. They also book hair cuts and color while you are processing so many times after I was foiled up and put in the sitting room I’d be left there much longer than I needed to be because my stylist was doing another customers hair. I just started bringing my computer with me so I could at least get some work done. All of this was fine until last night. I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes late and my stylist, Lindsey, refused to see me and said I needed to reschedule. Honestly I didn’t even think twice about running a little late because I always sit there waiting on her, there has never been one time that she was ready at our scheduled time and again she always leaves me in the processing room way longer than normal so she can do someone else hair while I sit there. Really annoying since no one called me after I was 5 minutes late to ask if I was still coming or anything so I figured she was finishing someone elses hair, like she always is, when I arrive on time. I was really frustrated by this because I grew up working in a salon so I have a sweet spot for hair dressers and always tip well and with my hair bill I am frequently leaving a 20 — 30 dollar tip. She could have at least made an effort to say you were a little late so I can still do your hair but won’t be able to blow you dry because I have somewhere to be. She didn’t make any effort to try to work with me when I drive up to that salon from Pawleys Island so it isn’t right next store for me. I will always go to the Aveda at the mall now. Lindsey, don’t treat a customer like that who loyally comes to you every 4 weeks and gives you a solid tip like I always do.

I had an updo done at Dolce Lusso for the Marine Corps ball. I relied mainly on reviews when choosing where to go, and Dolce Lusso looked like a good choice. I initially thought our ball started at 6:00 and so made the appointment for 2:45; the ball actually started at 5:00. The staff was willing to move the appointment up earlier last minute though, which I appreciated. My dress kind of had a vintage, old Hollywood style feel to it, so that was what I was aiming for with my hair and makeup. I brought in a picture of a specific updo, which I showed to my stylist. I didn’t necessarily need it to look exactly the same, but I wanted it to be as close as possible. Well, my updo ended up looking nothing even remotely similar to what I had asked for. It DID have the vintage look and feel that I was looking for, and it WAS gorgeous, so I didn’t complain. I got compliments on it all night. So she definitely did a good job, I just was a little disappointed that it wasn’t really what I asked for.

I was in a wedding in Myrtle Beach and originally the bride had arranged for a friend to do our hair(3 of us). This friend backed out last minute so I contacted Dolce Lusso one week before the wedding. Their Bridal Coordinator Ashley was so helpful and was able to accommodate us even though there were already two other bridal parties booked that day. Our hair was done by Ramona and she did an amazing job. It was extremely windy that day but our hair held up! She was also just a really sweet person. Would definitely recommend!
