I’ve been here a few times and always had a different hot dog from the menu. I’ve had the Chicago, Oklahoma and Texas dogs. I liked them all, but to be honest the Chicago dog wasn’t that much like the ones I’ve had in Chicago. It was good, just not that Chicago-y. So far the Texas dog is my favorite. Next time I’ll try one of the ones with chili on it. I’ve always gotten tater tots on the side, but my friends tell me the fries are also really good and hand cut. The downsides are that as a former bar, it still has the bar décor and setup. This makes it pretty dark and gloomy for a lunch place, and they allow smoking at the bar area which isn’t really what I want when I eat lunch. I sit near the window at one of the tables, but it still feels like you are in a smoky bar, just with a hot dog in front of you. The service is always really attentive and they are quick to keep yoru drink filled. If anything, it borders on too attentive. Every time I’ve been, it hasn’t been very busy. I like the place so go there and eat lunch(or breakfast or dinner, they are open from 7AM to 7PM) and keep them in business!
