Haven’t eaten there or used the pier but I walked my dog by the pier yesterday and a white girl was giving a black guy a hand job right under the restaurant in broad daylight. I guess the no trespassing signs are not working.

Best pace to fish while you’re in myrtle beach. If you’re coming to myrtle beach soon bring your fishing poles. The first day we fished here we caught an eel, a toad fish, two sea urchins, a catfish, and a sheep head. We saw someone else catch a sting ray and lots of other fish. Only nine dollars a person to fish here and the kids were free. Tons of space to fish and they had sinks along the pier for the fishermen to use. Beautiful views to just chill and fish. You can also bring your own coolers of food and drinks. There are picnic tables along the pier as well. They sell drinks and bait at the shop. Staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. Get there early because the fish bite early!!!

One of my favorite activities in Myrtle Beach. Don’t worry, you don’t have to buy a fishing license here to fish off the pier. The best deal is to get the $ 25 package which comes with the daily fishing pass, pole and bait. I caught a fish just as my husband left to get smaller hooks. I had no idea what to do! Thank goodness one of the regulars at the pier helped a damsel in distress. Although he chucked it over the edge murmuring something about a bait fish before I could stop him. If you stick around long enough you’ll see some people catch some pretty big fish or crabs. If fishing isn’t your thing, at least come for a stroll down the pier or drinks on the roof top. Keep in mind you may have to pay a $ 1 to get on the pier.

Awesome view while having a cold drink. The bartenders offer great advice on the area. My favorite.

This review is for the Pier View open air bar on the top floor. It was terrific! Our friends shared the Murrells mix and it was plenty for two with average appetites. The fried platter was huge and was lightly and tastefully battered. The shrimp salad was a pleasant surprise as it was not loaded with mayo and quite tasty with celery, capers, mild peppers and good seasonings. The fries appeared to be hand cut and homemade; if not, they came from a good supplier! The open air was perfect; they provide both shade and sun seating. The service was some of the best we have had — including that at fine dining restaurants! Enjoy

Great service, bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious. Flounder was not crispy. It was sort of limp. Didn’t taste bad though. Cheesy crab dip was fine but kind of bland. Tartar sauce really good. Really this place is all about the view. Nothing else would compel me to return.

Good good. Good drink specials. Hubby enjoyed the crab ale even though it wasn’t Maryland style. My flounder sandwich was very good. We both split a cheese fry appetizer with our sandwiches. Wooh. I’m full!

We are locals and love to enjoy a few drinks and good food while looking out over the ocean. The view is fabulous. We find ourselves there about three times or more a month and sometimes bring guests with us. Our last visit there was very disappointing. The server brought our food, but gave us no silverware or napkins. After waiting several minutes, my husband went to the server and asked for these required items. Again we waited and waited. My husband got up and found the server giggling in a corner with other servers and asked once again for silverware and napkins. Finally she delivered them. This experience really dampened our enthusiasm for this establishment.

Pleasant, breezy atmosphere by the ocean. Great place to beat the heat. Food was good. We ordered a hamburger and shrimp. Both were delicious, especially the shrimp. Service left something to be desired. Our bartender clearly was ready to go home, but we did come about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and about 30 minutes or so before last call. I couldn’t blame her too much. That in mind, it’s definitely a place that I will come back to.

Honestly, it was really neat to walk out on the pier and see out into the ocean. I loved the views! Especially since I hadn’t been out on a pier before. Minus one star, because it seems to be a popular fishing area. If you like to fish, this may be a popular location for you. You might want to check it out. But for us, who came to check out the pier it seemed a bit crowded with all the people and their fishing equipment. Minus a second star, because the pier cost $ 1. Yes it’s dirt cheap. I’m not complaining over having to pay the buck. But for someone who doesn’t want to hang out and fish for the day, and just simply spend the 5 – 10 minutes to see the pier, it just seems a bit silly. Great views, you go far out into the water! Pretty neat!

This is a pretty cool pier to visit. I’m going to focus this review on just the pier itself because the bar and restaurant have their own pages. To start, it costs 1 $ to walk out on the pier and that gets you access for the whole day. This seems to be a very popular place to fish, so if that’s in your interest, check this place out. They have all kinds of fishing«stations» along the pier with holders for poles, boards to cut fish on, sinks to wash and gut them, and measuring spots to get the length. Even if you don’t fish it’s a cool tourist spot for only 1 $ to see the views of the long beach here and all of the hotels and resorts. Also right now you can see the construction barges that are out in the ocean working on the drainage pipes. They have a small gift shop before you go onto the pier with your typical knickknacks. Clean bathrooms here are a plus.

I love this pier! I make sure to take a walk or stop in for a drink every year when I’m at the beach. The 3rd floor houses an open air restaurant — it’s always very windy everytime I’m there, but that’s not their fault! This year, we stopped in one afternoon for cocktails and some appetizers. The chili cheese fries were delicious! Drinks were cold and refreshing. I remember the service being prompt and friendly. After you have some cocktails, make your way down to the 2nd floor to take a walk out on the pier. You can watch people fish(or rent some equipment and do it yourself!), enjoy the sights, and meet some new people. You do have to pay $ 1 to walk out on the pier… but it’s worth it for the view.

The third floor open air restaurant has great views of the Grand Strand. You can see for miles in either direction. We decided to have lunch while our kids played below in the surf. The restaurant looks newer and the seating out on the deck was accommodating. The service was adequate and friendly, but not especially memorable. The food came out promptly and was satisfactory. We both flounder, my wife the basket, while I had the simple sandwich w/chips. I thought it was a big pricey but I guess we were paying for the views, not just the fish. Great place to sit back and have the wind blow in your hair, but don’t go for a culinary masterpiece.

Happy hour deciding on what to get for supper. Plantation Pimento Cheese Dip as our appitizer. Real nice servers. Great view of the pier, beach north and south, and of the ocean. A great place to relax with the ocean breeze to cool you off after a long hot day on the beach.

We stopped in for lunch while on vacation here. The server was so friendly, the view was amazing and the food was delicious. It seems like it would be a fun spot for dinner or drinks.

I ordered sea food plate with clam strips. Food was average, typical sea side vacation spot bar food. I also ordered Guinness, they had in can but that is OK, it is not usual type of beer typical sea side vacation spot bars keep so I was more than happy to find the stout even in a can. Service is good, staff is nice and helpful. I had ordered a shock top before seeing the Guinness. I asked them if they could change and they did, despite that they had opened shock top; good customer service. The strong point about this place is its location and beautiful view! It is located on third floor of 2nd avenue pier and you can see beach and water at tables on both sides of the bar, enjoy the waves and the breeze!
