Manatee Gun & Archery Club

We went to this range one week ago and it was great. Because of that we went again today and it was the opposite experience. For some reason, the range officers were expecting my son to sweep up other people’s shells even though we were paying customers. The two old men were perhaps the biggest a – holes I have come across at any range. Keep in mind we had not one safety issue the entire time. Maybe these particular range officers were child molesters or something. For some unknown reason they felt it was necessary to pay way more attention to my son than anyone in my group was comfortable with. As a result, we left early and did not get our money’s worth. We will not be back to that creepy place. If you are thinking of going there, I would suggest not brining any teenage boys.

Excellent outdoor range! Better bring good telescope to see to the end of their 1,000 yard range. Club is open for members and non-​members alike. The website accurately describes what is offered. Fees are reasonable. Most important of all they run a SAFE club. The shooting is well supervised with strict enforcement of «hot» and «cold» range protocol. The gentleman are friendly and helpful. The range is also lady-​friendly with special classes just for women.
