Stopped in early for the happy hour specials and was pleasantly surprised with the sushi and the rolls. The quality of the sushi was top notch and the chefs and servers did a great job with service. We’re new to the area are stoked to find a good sushi place really close to us.

Food was AMAZING. the sushi rolls were a little pricey but so worth it! ! I gave for stars however because the staff had a bit of an attitude. I will definatly come back for the sushi, not the service.

Great tasting food! A little pricey but considering the quality it’s worth it. Fresh make it when you order buffet! Which is awesome… my gf and I went there Ina Friday and they were packed but we were able to get a table within 5 – 10 mins. Really good grub!

Above average, not great sushi. Easy choice for 4 stars because of the tremendous value of their lunch specials. Large portion of several cut rolls for about $ 11 or $ 12? It is big enough to share so you can get a chinese lunch special and split them. Nice décor.

Worst service ever. Ordered a beer took 30 mins to get it. On top of that it was warm and it wasn’t even busy … Everyone got the food before drinks. So irritated. Never coming here again. Back to Hana sushi :)

Came in for dinner with my boyfriend and friend. Took 5 min before someone said something to us and then we sat down. Ordered our food and they forgot have our order. When we asked about it they said of its still in the fryer… Okay so it’s been In the fryer for 35min? Then they messed up my roll and told me 10 more minutes. Keep in mind we are the ONLY people in here. Not satisfied with the service at all. Food was good but would rather have good sushi and good service. Won’t be coming back.

Came in today during their lunch menu special time. Their rolls were good, but small. We weren’t too crazy about their service. The service was not great. I think One Sushi off of Murrieta Hot Springs Road has a better lunch special selection and service.

There were only a few tables of diners and the service was SO slow… SO slow. There were 4 of us at our table and we all got 1 napkin each. We have 2 children… I asked for extra napkins, we got 2. The food was just ok. Wouldn’t mind going back, if not for the service.

Roll was smaller and more expensive than other places. Asked for«lots of ginger» and got one extra packet :(

I love this place, I choose it over Hana every time I’m in the mood for sushi and even though I live on Newport I always make the drive up the road to eat here. I recently picked up a to go order for an energy roll and an order of baked mussels. That’s where the 2 star review comes from for me, the to go order killed me. I’ll start with the mussels, which were really good I would even say amongst my favorite, BUT I paid full price for these and only got 2⁄3 of the order. I didn’t mind because I wouldn’t have eaten them all, but it was still paid for and should have been in the box. I start to eat my sushi roll and immediately notice the eel was not cooked through. Which you might be wondering how could I have a problem with this if I’m ordering from a sushi restaurant? Well, eel is always cooked, and it is cooked because it is unsafe to eat raw! Although I removed the eel and ate my food I feel like this is something that should not have happened. So sad because I really love eating here and this was my first time grabbing take out so I’m not sure if it’s a normal thing to happen here or I’m just having a bad first experience. Bummer!!!

We’ve had our ups and downs at this place, but at the end of the day, the food is the best quality in the area. Our last two visits have been very enjoyable. One of the things we like to order is called a 50/50, it’s half plumb wine and sake served warm in a sake bottle. It’s delicious. Not all sushi places will make this but this place does! The edemame is served warm and lightly salted. The presentation and quality of the sushi is excellent. The service lately has been impeccable. Thank you JJ for bringing back quality service and cuisine to the area!

We came here based on a mailer advertisement. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is heavenly! The Plum wine is some of the best I’ve ever had. The Sushi is fresh and delicious. Every item was perfectly prepared, delicious and the presentation is artistic and delightful. The broth for the seafood udon is bursting with flavors and loaded with goodies. We will definitely be coming back. I want to try the Chinese menu but I don’t see how I can get past the amazing sushi. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants great sushi.

A great sushi spot! Friendly staff, fresh sushi and GREAT music! I have had the Hot Night Roll which is amazing. The Jalapeño wings were okay, wouldn’t write home about them. The Black Pepper Shrimp was okay too, I really can’t stand having to peel cooked shrimp; I mean sauce everywhere… Anyway, never too packed and a nice place to dine-in if you care to. They have a nice selection of wine and beer. If you are lucky, you can catch a game or two(:

After looking forward to trying this place for a while, we were unimpressed with our visit. The idea of a revolving sushi bar in the valley got us excited, however when we sat at the sushi bar, we were greeted by mere photos of menu items on a conveyor belt rather than the rotating plates we’ve experienced in Seattle and San Francisco. So began a confusing evening of missing utensils and(soy) sauces and order misunderstandings. Multiple people came to take our order at the bar, but it eventually came out promptly. The presentation on my Amber Roll was nice, but neither myself nor the rest of my party were raving about the food. One of my friends described the tempura in his Crunch Roll akin to «day old shrimp». The service was okay and the space was attractive albeit empty, and it seemed there were a few regulars who were chummy with the staff. It may have been an off night and perhaps we set our expectations high based on other reviews, but at the end of the meal we agreed that many other places in the area serve the same, if not, better standard of dishes for more affordable prices.

we came here with a group of 15 people after a nice day at the winery in temecula. One of the people in our group knows the owner. Their service was great! They brought out the food and drinks pretty fast. They have the option of Japanese food or Authentic Chinese food. which both was very good. My BF and i wanted Japanese so we ordered 3 rolls, the Golden California Roll, Fuji Roll & this Philadelphia roll with salmon on top. We also ordered miso soup, which was very good, not salty at all, it was very light. The sushi was good. At first, we ordered only 2 rolls because we usually only order 2 rolls and we get full but we didnt fill full that day. Maybe because of the walking around the tour. Other people in the group ordered chinese food. It smelled so goooodd!!! I didnt get to taste it but hearing from them they say its very good. I would come back to this place again and try their chinese food whenever i am in the area.

I literally live 3 miles away from JJ Sushi and I finally came here for the first time this evening. As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in, we were greeted and seated instantly. We were given the option to either sit at the bar or a table. Of course we opted to sit at the sushi bar. ^.^ The place itself is extremely clean and very modern. The outside does not do this place justice because the inside of this restaurant is so nice. Customer service was on freaking point. Our servers and the sushi chefs were so great — they were sweet, attentive, and overall very welcoming and very easy to get a hold of if we ever needed them. The food — we ordered the Amber roll, Energy roll, Mexican roll, and had mochi ice cream for dessert. All of the rolls were extremely tasty, and definitely one of the best I’ve ever had in the Murrieta/Menifee/Temecula area. The Amber roll has spicy crab in it, and might I add, with the perfect amount of spice. It’s definitely a good medium — not too mild, but not overpoweringly spicy. It also had a really nice crunch thanks to the tempura shrimp inside of it. The Mexican roll has always been my boyfriend’s favorite roll; he orders it at almost every sushi restaurant we go. They definitely do not skimp out on the avocado here. And my goodness were they ripe! The energy roll was my favorite for tonight, just because I like more of the fresh & lighter rolls. Not sure why it’s exactly named Energy roll, but I for sure felt more perked up after eating it! So it lives up to its name lol. What I really loved about their sushi is that they do not overpack their rolls with tons of rice like many other restaurants. So when my boyfriend and I left JJ Sushi, we weren’t overly full due to the excessive rice. That made the sushi experience that much more enjoyable. Mochi ice cream was pretty standard… it’s what you’d expect. It wasn’t anything above and beyond though. The strawberry was definitely more tastier than the green tea flavor. The prices are pretty expensive, but if I had to come back again, I would defintely come back during happy hour!
