One of the best places I’ve eaten so far in the area. We went in around 7 on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy but we sat right away. Our waiter was excellent and it turns out that all wine(bottles & glasses both) are ½ off on Wednesdays so we got a bottle of Chardonnay. We had the calamari and soup of the day as an appetizer. The calamari was wonderful and the Thai chili sauce accompanying it was fantastic. Both meals that we ordered were also incredible(I had the crab legs and would highly recommend them). We chose this place on a whim and will absolutely be returning. LOVE this place!

I have been to Wahoo’s several times before and their sushi is amazing. My parents own a townhouse in Pawley’s but always stick to the same restaurants when they visit. I have been raving about Wahoo’s to them for several summers. This summer they let us change it up and take them out to dinner. I called ahead(around 3:45pm) and spoke to Crystal who was the hostess. I asked Crystal if there was currently a wait time. She immediately got an attitude and said«I don’t know how many are in your party, I don’t know what time your coming, so how am I supposed to give you a wait time??!». I explained that I was currently on the phone and she could ask me those questions. I explained that we would be there in about 15 minutes and we would have a party of 7. She then tells me she still doesn’t know how long the wait time would be. I said«no problem, can we make a reservation?». Crystal then explained that it was far too late to be making reservations and hung up the phone on me. I normally would not have walked into the restaurant after being treated so poorly on the phone, but I had talked about this restaurant so much to my parents that we had to go. We then get to Wahoo’s and Crystal was at the hostess stand. I did not tell her that I was the one she was rude to on the phone. I said that we had a party of 7 and explained it was my parents first time so we would prefer as close to the window as possible. She immediately gave me an attitude after that and told me it would be 2 ½ hours if I wanted to be seated close to the window. I looked around the lobby and there was only 1 other party waiting(party of 4). I told her we would just take the first available. A party comes in about 20 minutes later while we are still waiting and requested a table for 4. Crystal then proceeds to yell across the room«thank you for not being difficult unlike other parties». The gentleman then asked what she meant and Crystal proceeds to say«well some people want to come in here asking for a window seat at dinner time and expect to get that!» I was completely appalled by her actions and continuous attitude. When we were finally seated we thankfully had a very delightful server. Unfortunately overall, Crystal is the first experience when you call or walk into the door. She left my parents and I with such a terrible impression of Wahoo’s, which is unfortunate. I will not be back as long as she is there.

Highly recommend this place. We came two nights in a row. The sushi happy hour special is phenomenal, the boss roll is to die for. I also had the catch of the day the previous night and it was wonderfully prepared.

If you’re reading this review while you’re at Wahoo’s, but your phone down, order an elevated margarita, and thank me later. Seriously, those things are delicious and we’ve been feening for them ever since we left. The food is nothing special, but no real complaints, either. The crab dip appetizer was tasty, but extremely small. Like so small that our party of five each had a taste of it, and it was gone. And by taste I mean bite. Seriously, far too small for an appetizer. Someone we were with had been there a couple of weeks prior and said that the crap dip was at least four times the size than it was that night, so I’m not sure what’s going on with that. The sushi was reminiscent of grocery store sushi, and honestly, after coming here for dinner I really had no reason to return. Like I said, nothing was bad by any means, but not good enough that I’d make it a point to come back. Well, we ended up coming back for drinks one night, and what a difference! Like everywhere else on the marsh walk, Wahoo’s get crazy busy at night, it’s a completely different environment than it was for our early happy hour the night before. The drinks were delicious and strong. I was going to stick to a basic vodka soda, but I tried someone’s elevated margarita and proceeded to down five of them myself. I wouldn’t come here expecting some masterly crafted lavender honey rosewater martini, so leave the pretentiousness at home and come here to kick back and have fun. The views and atmosphere are great and conducive to getting wasted on a tiki bar surrounded by palm trees. What more could you ask for?

Service ok. Ravioli and scallops, fried ravioli were over cooked scallops good, only 3 each. Got a 15% discount on our anniversary dinner, nice. However it cost us $ 110. because they don’t except American Express gift cards. SURPRISE !!!

Service was excellent. We got the BBQ copia and the grouper special black ended. Everything was great, although I did learn I’m not a huge fan of copia in general. Just not my fish preference. Everything else on the plate was perfection. I do miss Divine and their menu, but this isn’t a bad replacement. Not to mention the gorgeous view.

Fun atmosphere on the deck! Service was good, food, drinks, & band were great, and the prices are reasonable. The indoor restaurant is beautiful!

Everything here was good, no signifigant or major complaints, but not really any stand outs either. After my husband & I were given a two hour wait time next door at Drunken Jack’s, we came here. The interior is beautiful & calming & service was on point. They offer mainly seafood & my husband ordered two seafood apps for his dinner: fried calamari & fried sriracha shrimp. The platters were huge & he took a lot home & liked both. I ordered one of two steak choices, a filet with demi glacé. The steak was super tender, but the sauce a little overwhelming. It was served with cheddar mashed potatoes that came lukewarm & didn’t taste of any cheese flavor at all. The whole plate was soon pretty cold as our table(that had a nice view of the inlet) was right under a ceiling a/c vent, as were a whole line of tables. Not a good design. When I warmed up my leftovers the next day, I finally tasted cheese in the potatoes. Everything was OK, good, just not great or something you would necessarily go back for.

It was good, again had a coupon(haha) so that got us to try it. Nice view; good music on the deck, food pretty good; not cheap. However, large portions; we all had ‘to go’ boxes.

This is one of the places to go for a beautiful view of the marsh. It is also at the beginning of the marsh walk. We always sit at the bar to eat and last night was no exception. We started with their Oysters Rockefeller. Six oysters(which seems to be the norm) although four of them were quite small. They were good but nothing stood out as far as flavor goes. Next course was a wedge salad and spicy tuna roll. The wedge salad had plenty of dressing on it and the lettuce was crisp. In a previous review from someone, they stated you had to eat inside in order to get sushi. This is no longer the case. The Spicy Tuna Roll was very good and not too spicy. Now the disappointment of the evening. The Spider Roll. Tempura fried soft shell crab. When we received the dish, you could see one piece of crab sticking up from one of the pieces of sushi. Neither one of us could find anymore pieces of fried soft shell crab. This did not seem to be up to their usual standards. All in all, in was a good visit The bar staff took good care of us even though they were quite busy. We would come back again.

I used to come here all the time and last night– I had a bad experience. I may come back for a a drink, but definitely no food for awhile! We started with Oysters Rock– they looked amazing, until I saw a hair baked into them. The waitress offered to bring a new order– this time we got one less and they looked like the bottom of the barrel. I ordered Lemon Pepper Seared Tuna(which I have had about 5 times in the last 8 months here). It has a star on the menu for being Gluten Free. It came out looking like shaved tuna instead of sliced seared tuna. Oh, and the Gluten Free thing? Think again, this time it came on top of a huge pile of white rice. At this point, after the hair thing, I didn’t say a word– thinking I’d just ask a manager what was up after I ate around the rice. Guess what? No manager came by to apologize about the infamous hair. I used to manage a restaurant– so I was pretty surprised when we got the bill and it was still on there. We couldn’t pay fast enough!

My favorite marsh walk restaurant. Not overpriced like many of the others. Very good sushi choices on the menu. We’ve seen some good live bands here too. Get here early if you want a table outside.

We found ourselves at Wahoo’s on a very crowded night Memorial Day weekend. The wait was relatively around 30 minutes, which is understood to the crowd. When seated the staff seemed very helpful and willing to help us and the least time consuming way possible. The appetizers and food came out at appropriate times. The food overall was very tasty too. Crab cakes were very good. 2nd time there for us. Will return.

My husband, parents, and I were looking for a good seafood place to finish off our week at the beach celebrating my 50th birthday. I was in the mood for crabs and Daddy wanted fried seafood. After stopping at a few restaurants, we chose Wahoo’s and was very happy we did. It had something for everybody. Wednesday is half off wine, which was very nice. I ordered king crab legs, my husband ordered the tuna, Daddy got the fried S.C. Oysters, and mama got the salmon over shrimp and grits with sautéed kale. Everything was extraordinary! There was also live music, bass and keyboard, who were quite good. We sat next to the window overlooking the inlet at sunset. Every seat has a great view! If you prefer, there is an outdoor seating. Jeremy, our server, was very good. I highly recommend Wahoo’s for good seafood with a gorgeous water view.

Very disappointed. Have loved this place for years but our recent visit left us disappointed. Drinks and service were great but the food was very bland. Had the crab dip and the surf n turf roll and neither were enjoyable. Still has a great view tho.

Dinner tonight at Wahoo’s at Murrells Inlet, SC. Great choice; the food was excellent, the Hostess and our Server were very attentive and the view at Sunset was perfect for the Low Country. Top this off with Key Lime Pie and the evening was perfect. Wahoo’s is worth the trip!

We had the fresh tilefish for an entrée and it was excellent in taste and presentation. We had it blackened and baked, both delicious! Wait staff was very good and friendly and the view was gorgeous! Thanks!

Wasn’t impressed. It’s advertised as a sushi bar and restaurant, they fail to tell you that you cannot order sushi unless you sit outside at the bar or upstairs at the sushi bar. Wth? So even though I wanted sushi, I wasn’t going to make my family sit at the bar just so I could order some. Ridiculous. What also was ridiculous, was the wait. Almost no one in there on a Sunday night and everything took way too long. Also, tried to order the oysters Rockefeller and was told that they don’t have any oysters or scallops… which was a good chunk of the menu! Food was mediocre although the plating was pretty. Waitress was nice, but asked pointless questions like if we were still working on the calamari when there wasn’t anything left but a few crumbs and the sauce… ok. Yes, yes I still want to eat those crumbs because the rest of our food is taking so long! Let’s just say I wasn’t willing to scream«wahoo» after that dining experience.
