.. . visiting Murrells Inlet (again) from Pennsylvania and stopped-​by for a quick late lunch — Grouper Fingers and fries, great!; reasonably priced, efficient and friendly service, and a relaxed venue; ($ 3.25 bottled, no draft, beers), and the grandkids loved the peanuts (& sodas)!

Totally decadent and delicious! So much to look at on the walls. The burgers are tasty, onion rings are huge and super crunchy and the beer is cold! Perfect for a beach restaurant!

Eight golfers got seated right away for dinner. Fun atmosphere and great service. Our appetizers were all very good (fried mushrooms, buffalo bites, onion rings, and cheese sticks). Everyone was happy with their burgers and left more than satisfied. We’ll definitely return.

Well the burger is very good, and the service by Chandra was excellent.
They specialize in burgers so get one, there are many choices.

We drive from Cherry Grove just for the ice cold beer. Well and the fabulous burgers and the smaller crowd compared to the other locations. love this place.

This place had a very relaxed vibe and our waitress, Chandera, was very friendly and attentive! All the food was delicious and the portions were BIG. I’d recommend the surf and turf burger and grouper fingers (this plate had the most amount of food in my opinion). The Cole slaw could use some work and the onion rings were pretty greasy but overall I think this was the best place we’ve eaten at on our South Carolina trip! This is a must — try restaurant for any tourists in the area!

Classic, traditional American food. If that is what you are looking for then you are in the right place. Everything in the restaurant is signed by the customers that have been there. So make sure before you leave to ask your server for a marker to sign your name on something. There are peanuts to eat while you wait for your table which is nice. The onion rings are huge (another Unilocal patron posted a photo) and taste great. I ordered the Black and Blue burger which tastes like the Blue Ribbon Burger from Red Robin. The fries were decent, but the coleslaw sucked! If you order wine its just cheap Barefoot in a small bottle so don’t waist your money on it. I would suggest eating here if you have kids and want a straight forward American meal. Are there better places in Myrtle Beach to eat? Yes.

If you want an awesome burger — this is your place. They have a huge selection. Good service and a good amount of seating. Always a great time!

Stopped for a leisurely Sunday lunch. Kate was our server. She was attentive but not hovering.
The décor is cool. It fits the laid back beach atmosphere. The beer is teeth cracking cold.
The grouper fingers were tasty. Not greasy. Homemade fries were good. Huge portion of grouper off set the tiny portion of fries.

This place is awesome! We had Kara as our waitress and she was fantastic. All of our food was great, I had the surf n’ turf burger = really good

Cool atmosphere. Try the onion rings for sure. Our kids love the Mac-​n-​cheese burger.

It is so amazing! I recommend it to any burger lover! There are so many choices and I am never didsapointed. Today we got our food in less than 10 minutes and it was perfect. A++ in my book!

Delicious!!! I always get the Sonoma chicken sandwich. Comes with guacamole and marinated cucumbers! It’s the bomb! Happily accommodated our large family. Delicious creative burger combinations. My family also loved the fish. Our waitress, Ava, was fantastic and friendly. I brought my old license plates to sign and leave for the décor. Super fun. We even keep the cups every year. Highly recommend. Grungy, cool, laid back, and most importantly… delicious!

We just spent 2 hours at this establishment and that did not include the 30 minute wait. A party of 4 and the service was so bad we received cold burgers and fries, warm slaw, no straws, no straws, no forks and could not get a refill unless we asked numerous times. This location will give this chain a bad reputation.

I’ve been coming here my whole life and I’ve never gotten old of it. They would give you an Oreo for your kids meal and there burgers are delicious. And the novelty of cracking peanuts and throwing them on the ground is cool.

Great steaks most of the times. At times the steak is of less quality than others. Great atmosphere …

River City Café is awesome! There are multiple locations but this one is definitely the best (both atmosphere and flavor wise). I’ve never had a burger there that I did not thoroughly enjoy. The meat is seasoned well and portions are BIG. What else could you want in a burger joint? All the food is great, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and sides. My personal favorite is the Texas BBQ burger but the cowboy burger and the continental are also close runners up. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The free peanuts are a nice salty way to whet the appetite and you never get bored looking at all the license plates on the walls as well as the «artwork» and names scrawled all over the tables and walls by the patrons. It’s a unique place and one of my favorite places to grab a good priced, tasty burger.

«GREAT hamburger!» I had the black & blue burger & added bacon, onion straws & extra blue cheese spread. There were 11 in our party & we all got different burgers & everyone was well satisfied. We also got the fried mushrooms & boneless wings for an appetizer. Such a neat little joint. LOVED the décor. Good service & decent prices.

7 people at our table and everyone loves loves loves the items the ordered!!! The place is very quant as rustic… I was not aware the place has become a chain with8 location around the Myrtle Beach area. Now to rave about our server– Kara is just as cute as she can be with her wild red hair! She was most efficient with everything we ordered food-​drinks and wow!!! Just cannot say enough nice things about her!

I’ve been coming to River City in Murrells Inlet for several years now. It is a great place to stop on 17 Business if you are passing through the Myrtle Beach area on your way up or down the coast.
The best thing on the menu USED to be the Grouper Reuben sandwich (blackened), but on my most recent visit I noticed that it has been removed from the menu. It’s a good thing that just about all of their other food is delicious as well, otherwise I may have been supremely upset! They have an assortment of delicious burgers, decent prices, and I have never been disappointed. Sometimes the service can be a little bit slow, but overall the waitstaff is efficient and friendly. Next time you are in the south Myrtle area you should definitely swing by, even if it’s a few minutes out of the way.
