Chicken Aristocrat is probably my favorite dish… if your looking for something that you will crave… this is the dish! It’s amazing but the service is a little slow. If you call they will put you on hold for a long time and if you go in to order they may have one person behind the bar if your lucky… again great food but service could be a lot better. Food is top notch and hopefully they will get better with service… I feel this is a quality restaurant in Murphy!

I went here for lunch with people who go frequently — it was my first visit. The service was terrible and there were NO other customers! The server made excuses as to why everything took so long… something about his brother having to go get vegetables. At lunch time? The power went out briefly while we were waiting for our food so I thought it was a miracle we got anything at all. The food itself is okay but rather bland. The rolls were about the only thing good about the whole experience and we had to wait a really long time to get them. I may give it another try but I’m definitely not itching to get back there any time soon!

Nope. Nope. Nope. Walked in for early dinner, we were the only ones there, and the guy(owner? family? someone who lives in the corner there?) acted SO annoyed that he had to deal with, *GASP*, customers! How dare we walk in right then? I felt like we were intruding in someone’s living room. To make it worse, I had a caesar salad that was awful. I think McDonald’s could have provided a better salad.

Salads, dinners, a couple of drinks and a cannoli for $ 40. Eggplant and lasagna were really good. Better than the chain Italian restaurants around here.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food & prices! Highly recommend! We just moved to the area and decided to try them out! We weren’t disappointed!

My wife and I gave this place a try last week for dinner. We were a bit hesitant based on the varied Unilocal reviews. In my opinion this restaurant hits the mark they are aiming for. The menu selections are very reasonably priced and simple but well prepared. I think if someone is looking for high end Italian dining with lots of atmosphere they will be disappointed here. This is a neighborhood bistro with friendly staff and good, basic food. The napkins are paper and the tableware is very basic. Again, I think they hit their mark. Very good food at very reasonable prices! With the right expectations, this place will not disappoint. I know we will be back!

Best Pizza place ever! Been going to Nikki’s for last 3 years never was disappointed. very Family Oriented. They make pizza and other staff from scratch. Highly recommend this place!

This establishment is very«small town Italian», meaning that the food serves as a distant and surprisingly frequented(the place was full) form of Italian food. Join them for a meal around dinner time and you will see that they attract a very narrow demographic from the surrounding towns of Murphy and Wylie. The environment was nice enough however it was packed with generic«Italian» iconography(pictures of Sinatra and Brooklyn adorned the walls). The food is the definition of «from the can», noodles are watery and soft and the chicken feels like it’s from a cafeteria. As a few others have mentioned, the salads are nothing more than chopped cold lettuce with a store bought sauce slathered on top, although the bread was good. If you’ve ever enjoyed actual Italian food or anything prepared from scratch, you would be well advised to stay far away.

Everything was terrible about our experience. We were there 3 years ago on Valentine’s Day. When our normal spot Venenzia was posed we decided to give them another shot from the moment we walked in the temperature was so hot we had to ask for the air to be out on yet they had the back door open. The salads looked Terrible they ran out of bread. Chicken was the type that comes frozen not fresh Marsalis was terrible as was my husbands chicken cordon blue. Awful service to boot. Won’t be returning for another 3 years.

We stumbled on this little gem after a day of shopping. We are not usually in this area. We could tell right away this was authentic Italian food. And we were not disappointed. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the fettuccine with seasonal vegetables and olive oil. It was superb. Wonderfully delicious. The fettuccine was freshly made and perfectly cooked and the vegetables were al dente and delicious. A hit for sure. My boyfriend said his spaghetti was the best he has ever had. We will definitely make a trip back just for this place!!! Top notch guys, keep up the good work.

Ordered large cheese pizza and Sicilian. Both pizzas had little to no sauce, chewy low quality cheese and many parts were burnt. The crust has no flavor. Overall, the pizza is low quality and does not deserve to be associated with New York in any way. Not sure if the title should even have ‘Italian’ in it. Check out my other reviews to see where to buy real pizza.

I think this is a quaint little local place. The food is actually pretty good, some dishes need more flavor but the prices and portions are good. The Portobello Mushroom appetizer was AWESOME you should try it!

I struggled a little with how to rate this restaurant… garlic bread was doughy/chewy/non-delish, service was OK, place was really too dark(I had trouble reading the menu), but pasta entrees were amazing. To give it a 3 star would undermine the entrees taste. I don’t know what«authentic» Italian pasta tastes like, but their dishes had more flavor and offered distinct tastes. I assume one gentleman was the owner/manager and he was chatty with the few other tables around us, but never came over to say hi. Not sure if it’s b/c we we fresh faces or whether we looked antisocial. :) It would’ve been nice to get a warm greeting as I often look for that feel in local businesses. We’ll probably return at some point to try their pizza & other entrees.

Did you know Niki’s delivers? we haven’t ordered in awhile and tonight it was SOGOOD. This is my favorite pizza and I love pizza. I love their XL pizza with sausage. BEST sausage. It is the only thin crust pizza around that reminds me of Chicago or NYC where you can roll up your pizza. LOVE. Prices are great too! We ordered an XL pizza and two dinners and it was $ 30.

Niki’s is on our circuit of good restaurants to frequent. We love the wait staff, always very attentive and they know what we want when we come in. No need to wait to be seated, just grab a table. I always get the spaghetti special which includes a meat sauce, and sausage. The red sauce used for all entrees is very delicious and gives them their signature taste. The garlic rolls are good too. There’s a small bar that serves mixed drinks and beer with a TV that usually plays local sports. They have a small but good wine selection as well. Definitely recommend

Niki’s Italian Bistro is a place I’ve frequented over the years a handful of times. As mentioned by someone else, I’ve always wondered how they’re still in business as I’ve never seen the place packed at all, but they serve good food so I hope they’re around for many more years. The garlic rolls are great, and they’re very reasonably priced on their entrees compared to the other Italian eateries around the area. I will say that given the choice, I would say Venezia’s is the superior of the choices, but you can’t go wrong with choosing Niki’s. As a side note I miss the BBQ spot that used to be here years and years ago, because they had an arcade cabinet with Magical Drop III. lol

I have been to Niki’s Italian Bistro many times– it’s one of my families go to spots after school functions. I honestly do not know how they stay open as I have never been in here when the restaurant was more that 20% full. The service can be a little slow but I can totally overlook that for two reasons– 1. the bread– they bring you baskets of wonderful little garlic rolls that you could sit there and eat dozens of the little suckers without even realizing it. 2. the prices– the cost is awesome! When you go with a big family you will definitely appreciate the value.\ The food is decent– nothing original but what you would expect from a small independent place.

Came tonight for dinner. Only one waiter for the restaurant but he was fairly prompt and did a good job taking care of us. The food came pretty quickly(a plus for us with 3 kids under 7)! The best part, everything tasted very good. I had the chicken aristocrat — tomato cream with spaghetti and mixed veggies. My wife had the eggplant flortini(sp) — eggplant with red sauce and topped with cheese. The kids had various standard kids’ pasta which were fine. Bread was very good also — soft and warm. Definitely not low cal but overall a good place for a decent meal close to the house. Will definitely be back.
