The food was horrible and the service was ok. There was a menu that stated they served chicken, ribs, pork, and turkey plates but they only served turkey and pork. The guy at the window said they were not serving any other meat at their location. I got the Turkey that was boiled and bland. The mac and cheese was bland, and the baked beans were soupy. I wouldn’t recommend this place to friend or family member.

Best place for take out BBQ. Good food and quick service! The BBQ is great and they make a killer brunswick stew!!! Can’t go wrong… if you need a quick meal fix on the go. Enjoy.

The woman at the front desk of my hotel told me that this was the place to go for BBQ in Murfreesboro. I should have gone to Burger King. I got a little bit of everything, aka«the sampler». The good: The Coleslaw was vinegar based. The mild sauce was tasty. The Diet Coke was cold. The forgettable: The pork didn’t have a lot of smoke flavor, and it was incredibly salty. The ribs tasted like they had spent time in a Chinese restaurant instead of a smoker. The chicken was just sort of there. The bad: The mac n cheese had no cheese flavor, and the mac was way overcooked. The kid working the counter was going on and on about how he doesn’t think he should have to pay taxes so that immigrants can get free health care, and every other country in the world shoots people trying to cross their borders illegally. Like I said, at least the Diet Coke was cold.

Flavorless ribs, side dishes straight out of #10 cans. Decent service and great sweet tea. Their great reputation is undeserved. Sorry.

When my friends at college in California ask me what ‘southern food’ is, my brain conjures up images of my grandma’s chess pie, fried okra, and Whitt’s BBQ. You Tennesseans really won’t realize how good it actually is until you taste other states’ sad attempts to imitate the greatness of BBQ. I don’t know why it’s so hard to make good barbecue, but other states just don’t get it. Whitt’s easily has the best barbecue in Murfreesboro, and they even have a spot in the Nashville airport to remind me of what I’ve been missing every time I fly home from CA. I’ll have a pulled pork sandwich(or 3) with cole slaw on top(duh) and some baked beans, please. I forgot their prices but I know they’re pretty good. I applied for a job there once and was so sad that I didn’t get hired — maybe they knew I’d steal some of that deeeelicious bbq if given the chance.
