Ate here for breakfast today. Delicious fresh food with great healthy options. Exactly the kind of place Murfreesboro needs!

Tried First Watch today for the first time. Hostess said it would be 30 — 45 minute wait. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we were sat in 15ish minutes. Off to a good start. Server was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered and then waited, and waited, and waited. Around 40 minutes later our food showed up. My wife had French toast and an add on side of bacon. The French toast was barely warm. The whipped butter wouldn’t even melt on the bread. I had turkey Sausage gravy and biscuits, house potato hash, two over easy eggs. The turkey gravy is more of a thanksgiving type gravy with small chunks of turkey sausage that was not fresh /hot. The potatoes were basically raw. The eggs looked perfect but I was too pissed to even try a bite. After that wait time and 2⁄3 of my order being crap I sent it back and asked for a check. No manager in sight. This restaurant is The Egg and I rebranded but still failing the customers in the same ways. Long food time waits, poor food quality, high food price point. After being there over an hour I left angry, hungry, and ignored.

First time eating here today. Food was excellent. I had an egg white omelette with turkey and whole grain bread. I think it was called the Healthy Turkey. It was great! My mother-in-law had half of a Cobb salad and half roast beef sandwich. Again… she loved it. Food was great. Our issue and what will keep us from visiting again was the service. They didn’t have a hostess. So we had to wait on the cashier to seat us. Irritating but not a deal breaker. He only picked up one set of silverware. Yes… the cashier had a problem counting to TWO! Again… irritating but not a deal breaker. Waitress was rude while taking our order when we asked for no dressing or sauce of any kind on the salad and sandwich. We had to repeat the request FOUR times. Wait to the food was not bad. 5 – 6 minutes maybe. But our requests were ignored and the sandwich came with horseradish on it. It was hard to get the waitress to come to our table again to return the sandwich. Eventually she came after we asked another server to get her for us. Sent the sandwich back. Finally got another one after a ridiculous wait! Waitress acted irritated that we asked for a to go box. Basically service was terrible… waitress was super rude. We left a cash tip. It wasn’t much but it was more than she deserved. As we were checking out she brought her cash tip up front and threw it at the cashier giving us a dirty look. We asked the cashier if that was normal policy to bring tips up. He said yes. But Kandy was not happy with the tip and made sure we knew it. I work with the public so I know all about«personal lives» and“perception” from customers. I give the benefit of the doubt always! But she was rude. We won’t be back. We didn’t see anyone who looked like a manager. We would have asked for him/her. The whole staff looked inept.

First timer to this place. I’ve heard a lot of great things. I ordered a kale tonic and avocado toast. Trying to keep it on the healthy side. I logged that meal into MyFitnessPal as I waited. I waited about 20 minutes for that meal. Avocado toast. I don’t see 20 minutes here, and it wasn’t crowded. Regardless, when I logged the meal, I saw it has over 1,400mg of sodium. Thinking that might be incorrect, I began eating. Holy cow the salt! Now, I’ve cut sodium WAY back in my diet and I’m probably more sensitive to it than others. But, it was not easy to keep eating. I ate it all because I hate wasting food. There’s no sense in a dish like that having THAT much sodium.

Came in on a Saturday morning around 10:30, and was told there was a 15 – 20 minute wait. I didn’t think much of it. I expect a wait at most breakfast places on a weekend morning. There were 4 groups ahead of us. But while we waited, I noticed that there were 8 open tables when we got there, and no fewer than 6 open tables the whole time we waited. The food was good, once it arrived, but we wound up eating one at a time. When the waitress brought my food out, she said that my wife’s basted eggs were overdone and they had to remake them. For a breakfast for two that was $ 35 with tip, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

I really wanted to like this place, but I was so disappointed. First, it is one thing to wait awhile to be seated and another(way too long) while for food. But to wait while there are empty tables makes it clear the place is sorely understaffed and the service suffered. Then the quality of the food was not that great. I ordered the BLT eggs Benedict. Not only did it come out different than the menu(they didn’t add the avocado), but one egg was poached hard and the other medium with only a little but of runny yolk. Aside from the dressing on the salad, I could have done better at home. Also, the booth I sat in wasn’t appropriately attached to the wall, so I spent the entire time rocking. So, subpar quality, subpar service(the waitress and staff were very friendly, but I waited way too long), and higher prices means I’m not sure if I’m willing to give this place another chance.

We went back to First Watch which has now been open in this location for about 3 weeks. The service was excellent. This isn’t a Michelin 3 star restaurant but it caters to those who like an excellent breakfast selection and well cooked meal. On this occasion, I had the«Trifecta» which is a Belgian waffle or pancake, eggs and sausage or bacon. The waffle was cooked perfectly. It was brown and not overdone and tasted exactly right. I also like the fact that the restaurant will provide real Vermont and Canadian maple syrup upon request. It is an extra $ 1.29 but is the real syrup and not the kind manufactured with various ingredients to provide extra sweet flavor and an approximation of the real product. Having lived and worked on a farm in Vermont, and had the opportunity to collect the sap, pour it into the horse drawn tank and participate in the process of converting sap into maple syrup, I can easily tell the difference. The poached eggs were also cooked perfectly and accompanied the waffle for a very filling meal. Most First Watch locations will serve up pecan pancakes upon request. For some reason, this one does not although I anticipate they will in the near future. As the staff becomes more acquainted with the menu and serving breakfast, other specials will also become available throughout the year. For now, this is one of the best breakfast places in the area.

5⁄5! This place has got it going on! Great fresh food, awesome coffee, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere. Has outdoor seating and music playing. Location is convenient. Hostess handled a busy morning perfectly, expect a 15 minute wait with this chic little spot in a busy town, it’s well worth your time… and they provide free coffee while you wait! Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch!

Enjoyed a tasty breakfast of fresh guac toast and eggs with very good coffee and service here last week. Arrived this morning to a waiting list for many empty tables. The kitchen asked the desk to slow customer seating with wait time estimated to be 20 minutes. No coffee was offered while waiting. No thanks to that and I went somewhere else.

I love first watch, but I am a little disappointed with this location. I think they might still be going through the growing pains of switching over from Egg&I. The staff seems overwhelmed, lots of dirty tables and people waiting for a table. Only had one person checking out people and seating people. So one big line to get our name on the wait list. I got the Belgian Waffle and my friend got the chocolate chip pancake. Both were great fresh and the coffee was hot. The waitress that brought out the food forgot syrup so we sat waiting for a little bit. Everyone’s food around us looked great and fresh. Hopefully they will get more streamlined and it will be great like the other locations around Nashville.

The first clean eating restaurant to get a lot of hype in Smyrna. Very popular among teens. It’s great for dates. They’re very hippie chic. My boyfriend had the waffle and said it was good and I had some potatoes that were too oniony for my taste. It’s good for the aesthetic but I prefer pie 5 that is right next to it basically.

Wow! Don’t even know where to begin on this one! My wife noticed this location had opened while out and about a few days ago, and I had seen the good reviews for the one in Smyrna so suggested that we should try it one day. We dropped by for breakfast this morning and it was great! The only complaint that we had was that the service could have been a bit better, but that was due to not being able to get beverage refills without asking a manager. My wife ordered three blueberry pancakes with bacon. The pancakes are a multigrain type and are HUGE! She said that they were great and as she put it, «were the size of a hubcap». She was only able to eat half of her meal due to the size and what was left easily filled a full size to-go box! The pancakes were served with a tasty fruit compote that tasted like a mix of blueberry and blackberry. I ordered the Chickichanga. This arrived plated up with what I would refer to as skillet potatoes and fresh fruit. The fruit was great and the potatoes were awesome — cooked with onions, mushrooms and did I catch some tomato in there? I think I did! The shining star was the Chickichanga. It didn’t look much bigger than a standard two, maybe three egg omelet, but it sure filled this fat boy up! It’s like an omelet that has been deep fried similar to a chimichanga and filled with chicken, avocado, onions and such. It’s topped off with what the menu called a Vera Cruz sauce and a dollop of what had to be the best tasting, freshest sour cream I’ve ever eaten in my life! I would definitely order this again, but will probably try something else because their menu had so many awesome sounding choices! On a side note, they have really great coffee and a little bowl on the table with not just half and half, but hazelnut and French vanilla creamer. I just hate that I didn’t get more of it. With the refill situation being what it was, I decided to switch over to water since it came out in a quart milk bottle and you filled your own glass from that, which was pretty neat and worked out well since I was thirsty. If the service is a little better the next time we come in, I can easily see this being a five star place!
