Please stop putting those annoying and basically UNREMOVABLE stickers on the DVD’s! It’s tacky and totally unnecessary.

I absolutely hate this place. The selection is awesome but as another reviewer said, none of their vinyl has a price listed. I stood around for probably 15 or 20 min waiting for the owner to give me a price on two or three records and he came back with absurdly high prices. Their video games, DVDs, and CDs were even a bit overpriced. I’d rather go to Little Shop of Records on the Murfreesboro square any day. It’s not as big of a store, but you can actually afford their prices

This store has games for every console, and an especially great selection for older consoles. They also have a lot of records, a decent amount of CD’s and a huge DVD collection. I enjoyed taking my time to browse through the store, and I did pick up a copy of «Diary of a Mad Black Woman» quite joyfully, as I had been wanting to purchase it for some time. However, I wish the most discounted DVD’s were displayed in a manner that made it easier to browse through them. The other DVD’s on the wall which were higher in price were well organized, but I think if they devoted more of the floor space to making the DVD’s easier to look at they would get a lot more sales in that area. They had a lot of great boxed sets of TV shows on DVD, but the ones I wanted were pretty expensive. They had at least 5 Studio Ghibli DVD’s, which I also wanted. but were also quite pricey. I understand that the quality stuff has to be a higher price, but that doesn’ t mean I can always shell out money to buy my favorites at a discount media store :( I will definitely come back to browse once in a while, but only if I have a lot of time and money to burn. The odds of having both of those on my hands are pretty slim.

Digital Planet has an okay selection of DVDs, Blu-Ray and CDs. Though their selection of records is mediocre at best. The only reason why I patron Digital Planet is because I’m hopeful. I hopeful that one day they’ll have a copy of that album I’m looking for or they’ll be selling the movie I want to relive for cheap. Went just yesterday and came out empty handed. In my opinion, most items are overpriced, though they are always«on sale» for $ 3 off the sticker price. For a used store, you’d think they’d be pricing them lower than you can find at any retailer, but no. When trying to sell anything to them in the past, they heavily scrutinized over the wear of the product, basically saying that it has to be brand new in order for them to purchase it. This is good for the buyer, but confusing for the seller considering it’s a USED shop! One positive, they give you a frequent buyer’s card where the 10th purchase is free. Save your gas and time and go to Phonoluxe Records on Nolensville Road in Nashville. Better experience. Better selection. Better service.

While Digital Planet has a huge selection of CDs and DVDs, the shelves are usually out of order, or what you want is in a cabinet under the shelves and an employee will have to dig it out for you. When you enter you’ll be told that all DVDs and CDs are $ 3 off. Since this«sale» has been going on as long as I can remember they should probably just go ahead and price everything $ 3 lower. The shopping experience is rounded out by having a crazy guy following you around giving recommendations on music that have nothing to do with what you’re browsing. Seriously, while looking through classical music I was informed that there was«lots more rap on the other side!»

Let’s ignore he fact that a copy of «Who’s Next» on record sported a $ 100 price tag. I’ll also let the clerk slide who told me I looked like I had money. And fine, some stores are just over priced — $ 40 for a Porter Wagoner record seems a bit high, unless Porter’s gonna perform live for you. But a clerk telling me that the red tag means $ 3 off four different times was kinda bothersome. What’s worse is the fact that none of their records are priced, so I had to wait around for fifteen minutes while the bossman figured out how much to rip me off for. Not the worst shop in the country — there was a good DVD selection — just not worth the time to root around through stock.
