Dont listen to that Alex D. guy. Sounds like that boy should’ve prepared better. Anyways, I love the staff and the store is very welcoming. Love this place and I don’t know where else I’d wanna go for my Patagonia gear.

Cool store, poor management. I was interested in working for bink’s as I had just transferred to MTSU. First off they don’t have applications, they only accept resumes. I created a resume just for this job. I went in, turned it in, and filled out an availability form. I then wanted to meet the manager Chris to introduce myself. He seemed busy so I didn’t bother initially. I had called back several times to see if he was there so I could come in and introduce myself. I finally got to come in. I noticed that there was a now hiring sign. I talked to Chris and he said that he’d been on vacation and he hadn’t looked at the resumes or people’s availiablility. It had been about a month since I had gave them my resume. He also made it feel awkward to talk to him like he was uninterested in talking about anything if I tried to strike up conversation. I got a call from him and I returned his call, spoke to someone else who told me to come in for an interview. Someone else told me to come in at 5:30 the next day. Awesome. I even called an hour before time to make sure I was good to come in. It usually takes 10 mins tops to get there. I left 25 minutes early. Granted it was«rush hour» I thought this would be plenty of time. I got to the traffic light that is where broad street turns left onto old fort pkwy. There was an extremely long line of cars and I got caught at the light at least four times. It took about 5 mins each time for it to let a few more cars go. So I’m still running on time and I get to binks but it took me a second to find a parking spot. I walked in at 531. I saw Chris and walked over to him. He looked at his watch and told me that he couldn’t interview me because I was late. Are you serious? One minute late? He told me that timelyness was important and that his advice was for me to show up to job interviews on time in the future. Ridiculous. I have gone out of my way for this job because I really liked the store and I wanted to work there. I have never not gotten a job I applied for that had an available position. Why does this job seem so impossible to get? I’m not the type of person that takes no for an answer. But«no» in this case will have to suffice. The manner that he addressed the situation turned me off from the job completely. It’s not like he couldn’t have interviewed me. I have applied for 3 other jobs and all of the other ones want to /have hire(d) me. Your loss for not accepting that I was one minute late because of traffic that I have never experienced before in Murfreesboro. I have only lived here for 2 months. How you treat potential employees reflects how you treat your actual employees and what kind of person you are. No second chance, no nothing. I won’t be shopping here and I won’t be reccomending this place to my friends.

I love that they carry my favorite outdoors brands and they even carry vineyard vine!

I visited this store a couple weeks ago to find a new winter jacket and they actually had some great North Face and Patagonia jackets from their Winter 2012 season for 50% off. The staff knew about the jacket materials and helped me find one that was perfect for me. Ended up walking out with a 2012 water resistant down Patagonia jacket for $ 100.
