The only way to really have fun at Dill St. is if you get unbelievably obliterated. Then once you do, you end up spending too much money. In fact last time I was there, I was LIVID when I noticed that they took a $ 30 just in case you«couldn’t afford it» or something. I was pissed. They give you the money back, but with my bank, it doesn’t process until Tuesday and honestly I could do something with that $ 30 such as getting gas, going to other bars, etc. However, I still continue to go back because it’s great to people watch. However, with the new location, it doesn’t have the second floor to really capture funny moments with your friends.

Far too many a brain cell was lost at penny pitcher night. Go once for the experience of saying you went, because, let’s be honest — penny pitcher night is what this place is known for. One time is beyond enough though!

Ah, Dill Street. Home to penny pitchers, freshly legal college kids, and the only place in Muncie where smokers can put their cigarettes out right on the floor. It’s good for a cheap drink, but trust me, you’ll only want to try this place once for the novelty, but that’s about it unless you’re in the mood for some penny pitchers. Dill Steet is a two-story dirty college town bar. The first floor features the main bar(usually understaffed), a dance floor, and a few booths. The second floor is home to some pool tables, tall bar tables/chairs, a typically vacant DJ booth, and a typically vacant secondary bar. Pennies(penny pitchers) is the one time during the week that is worth attending — you pay a low cover at the door(less than $ 5) and you get a pitcher that you can refill with Keystone Light as much as you can drink until 11pm. You have to get there around 5:30 — 6:00pm if you want a pitcher, however. Its popularity seems to have slipped, but it’s still worth trying at least once.

If you know what to expect when you walk up to Dill Street then you will get just that. A crowd of drunmnken(yes I meant to type it like that) frat boys and sorority girls, athletes, hipsters, and every other type of college kid. Drinks are cheap, the bar is packed, the music gets turned up, and people dance away, bumping and grinding on the wet, sticky floor. There is some seating upstairs and pool tables around the bar. There is a giant screen on one end and the DJ booth overlooking the dance floor. Check out the drink special list at the downstairs bar. There is normally a wait and a small cover compared to any other city, there is normally a wait for the bathroom too. But you can always find someone you know here, and always find some hot someone to dance with downstairs as onlookers watch from above. Best for a group of people to party late night. Some of the craziest stuff happens at Dill Street.

Sucks. I saw Ron Jeremy there once, but haven’t been back since. Penny pitchers might draw, but this is where Muncie thugs come to pick up college girls and posture. The line of douchebags that drapes around the block should deter your entrance.

Dill Street, located in «the Village» of Muncie, is a great place to meet young college-age students. Wednesday nights are Karaōke nights and $ 1.25 U-Call-It’s, which includes just about anything you order! This bar also serves some snack items like cheese fries, but since it’s considered to be an establishment catering to a crowd of 21+, smoking is still allowed indoors. Two floors provide plenty of space for socializing and entertainment includes Pool tables, two fully stocked bars, and a dancefloor with great music from 80’s hits to current hip-hop, rap, and rock.
