My wife and I just moved back to civilization from south whidbey island and our first grocery experience was this qfc location. I wanted to make some jerkey and inquired with the butcher Chris if he could slice my choice of beef for me. After some discussion Chris and I decided I would come back the next morning and he would have my cut for me. And he stated«it may even be sliced and ready». Next morning I walk in and Chris spots me before I see him. He pointed at me, turned around and retrieved my cuts for me. World class customer service! All of this without even paying for the cuts first. I am a store manager for a major retailer and have been in retail for 16 years or since I was 19 years old. Chris is the type of employee/associate who I would definitely recruit to work at my business.

My go-to grocery store. It gets even better on Friday afternoons when Lois hosts wine tasting. I usually discover something new — and must take at least one bottle home to share.

Although some of the prices are on the high side, I like this location. I usually buy some produce, cage-free hen laid eggs, and cheese here. They have a good organic selection too from organic apples to organic tomatoes and organic zucchini. They have hormone-free milk in glass containers. I think the deposit is $ 1.89 for the bottle but the quality is very high. This is my go-to place to buy quality ice cream for my partner. They also have a rack of marked-down breads, cookies, desserts, scones, etc. on a shelf in the rear of the store at the end of one of the aisles. I like their marked-down Schwartz Brothers Bakery blueberry scones which I eat on my cheat days. They have several self-checkout lines but I usually go to one of the Express lines that has a cashier. Cashiers and baggers are very friendly and helpful. Never had a problem. Will I return? Definitely.

It’s really funny that people complain about the deli and produce because I like those two departments. DELI — I’m five feet tall and am never ignored. I just make sure to make eye contact or say hello. True, there are usually 5 people working there, but they’re always BUSY, so I just make myself known by saying hello. I know this is a huge inconvenience to people who think that everyone should just know WHEN you’re standing there, but realistically speaking it’s not… realistic. If people in the deli were just standing around twiddling their thumbs then I’d know there isn’t enough to do! This shows me that the store is financially responsible in keeping their employees busy. Oh, and their KALE salad(superfood salad) is the bomb. I tried Safeway’s and it was drenched in sugar. QFC’s comparative salad has a nice, bright zest with just the right amount of flavor and sweetness(which is not much). PRODUCE — The produce buyer at QFC brings in Lemongrass, which is amazing. I love being able to buy the lemongrass without going to Whole Foods or Chinatown or HMart since I work and live in Mukilteo. I also love the small bulk section — it has all the basics. They have a nice Organic section too paying attention to carrying the items founds in the dirty dozen in that section(like apples, cucumbers, grapes, and etc). I also find that the checkout is very efficient. The staff there keeps the line going through and all seem very experienced and well trained. At the end of the day, I find what I need here, and price is relative. I’ve found some things to be extremely competitive and others pricey, but that’s the same in every brand of store. It’s called QUALITY Food Center and I definitely get what I pay for.

Interesting to read all the reviews regarding rude and apathetic staff. After multiple experiences with it myself I wasn’t sure if I was alone and evidently I’m not.

Okay. A grocery store is just about like any other except for the produce department. The produce at the QFC in Mukilteo is notably not good. Lettuce is a bit old and so forth. Very different than the QFC on Capital Hill which is very good.

I love, love, love this QFC. I’ve shopped here for a decade and a half, and my favorite is the deli. The $ 6 meal deal is an incredible bargain, and it makes me so happy. The prices aren’t necessarily the cheapest, but the quality is good, and the deals are find-able.

I love shopping here and I love the deals but most of all I love that it’s always clean and that the workers are always so friendly especially when I’m using coupons ;)

The produce department here is a travesty. So far I’ve found while shopping there: moldy corn, rotten apples, an onion that appeared to be sliced almost in half, and rotten, buggy lettuce. Plus, the meat department has a really poor selection and they didn’t know what a baby back rib was, ugh, nothing in this store is worth the price.

The staff is 50⁄50. Half seem to not care and are very rude, while the other half are insanely friendly. I shopped there a few days ago and grabbed the soup that you just heat up in the microwave. I payed, left, heated it up, and ate it. It tasted really odd, though and the noodles didn’t look right. About half way through the soup, I realized it expired in 2012. That’s really gross. As a store, they do have their own pros and cons. Cons: The deli is where the majority of rude staff are. Sandwiches can take like 20 minutes to make for whatever reason ans you always get people who look like they hate life. As for the rest of the store, the soup is not the first time ive encountered expired products. And I’ve almost been run over several times by staff. I’ll apologize and they’ll just look at me. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like you should apologize since you’re the one being paid to be professional. Pros: Some staff love to laugh and are fun to be around. And the produce always seems pretty darn fresh.

I like QFC because I have the rewards card, very often do they have great deals on food and drinks. I like that they sell flowers so if I ever new them I know where to go and get them fast and at a reasonable price. The location is open 24 hours which is very nice because sometimes I have trouble sleeping and I may sleepwalk to this location that is only about 2 miles from my house. The people there are nice and all you have to do is squeeze this doll thing and thy will come check you out after hours.

Nice store, kept clean, staff it nice. However the selection of products is so so and the prices are terrible! You will pay twice as much if not more compared to Fred Myer and other stores.

This QFC is nice inside, lots of items and great bakery. Only downside is from about 8PM onward, there is not enough staff and the checkout lines get rather long. Employees are friendly and helpful though.

I have to agree with others about this store. I recently moved to Mukilteo & was excited that there was a QFC here, I had never had one near my home before. The place is laid out strange, it is very hard to find things & the prices are really high. I was surprised to see Fred Meyer brands at such high prices. I do like the deli sandwiches, but I have to admit I left mine in the cart in the store with the rest of my groceries because I just did not have time to wait in line for 20 minutes to get checked out. In hopes of getting out with my food I decided to get out of the non moving line & try the self checkout since there were only 2 cashiers working(note, that means not standing around visiting with each other) & mountains of customers. But I could not get it to scan & there was no one there to help anyone. I gave up, left my full cart near the door & went to another store where they have the staff to check out the customers. I will NOT go back again. I’d rather drive & give my money to stores that focus on customer service at fair prices.

I only shop at this location when I need something on the fly and even then they usually disappoint. The meat department is consistently out of chicken. What grocery store runs out of chicken?! Their products are overpriced, they have only one person who works there who is friendly, and their produce is HORRIBLE. Every time I buy fruit from here I am upset I wasted the money. The apples are mealy and flavorless and way oversized. The only reason I come here at all is for the convenience of a quick milk pick up.

This is one of the closest groceries to my bro’s place in S. Everett. It’s somewhat convenient. It can be fairly packed sometimes. They have decent selection and produce here. When Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods aren’t an option, this will do in a pinch.

I have never experienced good service at any of their stores. Clearly the employees are union and think the paychecks just occur. Management is apathetic. In the Mukilteo store, I have learned: The meat dept is a joke. If you asked anyone working there about the USDA beef grade, they would not be able to answer. Notice I didn’t refer to them as butchers. This is because they are not butchers. They will tell you their beef is certified Angus beef, like that means quality. They have no clue that means nothing in regards to quality of the beef. Its nothing more than a marketing plan put out by the American Angus Association. More than once I have purchased prawns and steaks to prepare a great dinner. The shrimp were so bad they reeked of iodine. The steak was tough and tasteless. I gave in to better knowledge and thought they can’t be so bad all the time. I dint have to drive into the city to get a quality product. But no, they are bad and I have to drive to get a quality product. The bakery is terrible. I observed a clerk acknowledging a customer(which was amazing in and of itself), telling him the items were fresh, They were just thawed out this morning. I couldn’t help but laugh. A good bakery would say they are fresh, they just came out of the oven. In all fairness, the competition of Albertson’s is no better. I use these stores as a convenience place. Run in for ice, milk maybe a loaf of bread. I drive to Mill Creek to shop at Central Market. If there is a NON-UNION grocery store in the area I would love to know where.

Excellent wine selection and really friendly employees made this my go to grocery store! Fish monger and butcher here were really nice and accommodating of my requests to check the back for the REALLY good stuff(Halibut cheeks, Chilean Sea Bass, etc.)
